My robot hoover has changed my life!

Ok so maybe a bit dramatic BUT I have a very big house and lots of children and I hate hoovering! I do all my housework when the youngest three are napping, which means if I'm doing upstairs I can't hoover because I don't want to wake them up.

I bought a eufy and it's made life so much easier, I put it on in the kitchen in the morning and when I get back the floor is clean and I mop it straight away. Then whichever area of the hous sim cleaning that day (I follow tomm) I just run it when I've finished dusting.

I just thought I'd post about it in case anyone is considering getting one, I'm so impressed with it!

Currently looking at coverless washable duvets to try and make my life even easier Smile

I don't know if it's a silly question but does it not miss bits? How does it get everywhere?

Foxglovesandlilacs86 · 08/03/2022 11:16

I dont really know how it works but it really does get everything, I shut it in one room and leave it for a bit (sometimes ten minutes someone half an hour depending on what I'm doing.

There's an app you can get where you can set timers and all sorts of things but I literally just lies the remote to turn it on, shut the door and leave.

Mine is life changing too. Having permanently clean floors makes everything look better.

nearlyspringyay · 08/03/2022 11:20

Totally agree!

Lou98 · 08/03/2022 11:27

@Foxglovesandlilacs86 thank you! Going to go have a look at them!

Rshard · 08/03/2022 11:30

Which model do you have?

JustJam4Tea · 08/03/2022 11:32

We've got a roomba - he's old and battered now, but fantastic. And I bought a robomop a few weeks ago which now follows the roomba round. We've got hard floors downstairs so I can shut the door and just let them get on with it.

Hugasauras · 08/03/2022 11:34

Ours is amazing. He's called Gus and has googly eyes on him.

Hugasauras · 08/03/2022 11:34

And ours just trundles about downstairs and it's scary how much he picks up!

Leftbutcameback · 08/03/2022 11:43

Mine is not that good but mainly because our floors are not clear enough for him to just do his job Blush

He is great though especially on hard flooring and although I sometimes need to go round to get into corners he picks up all the bits, and fur, and does 90% of it

Leftbutcameback · 08/03/2022 11:44

I do need to change our filters though, and he isn't great on our carpet. Yesterday he got confused by the bright sunshine in the kitchen!

Greengreenhill · 08/03/2022 11:46

Mine has changed my life.

Shouldhavebutdidnt · 08/03/2022 11:50

Love ours - 2 dogs plus kids & it goes on downstairs most days! Love it, best present DH has ever bought

Porthia · 08/03/2022 12:21

Ooh I want one!

Any recommendations?

Mikki77 · 08/03/2022 17:46

I want to get one for me and my parents. Please send model recommendations.
Thank you.

Wedonttalkaboutboris · 08/03/2022 17:51

Does anyone know if you can use them on wool carpets?

TheVanguardSix · 08/03/2022 17:59

Ah OP! I bought a Eufy when my former husband left the family home. It was sort of my "Fuck you and the horse you rode off on, I'm buying a Birkin Bag Eufy and there's nothing you can do about it!" victory dance. Grin
He's been replaced by a robot vac and life is soooo sweet!
I love my Eufy to bits!

Boriswentcamping · 08/03/2022 19:12

I'd also like to know if you can use them on wool carpets - specifically loop pile. Many of them have beater brushes which I think you are supposed to avoid? Would otherwise love one!

Sexnotgender · 08/03/2022 19:13

@Hugasauras

Ours is amazing. He's called Gus and has googly eyes on him.
Ours is called Brian 😂 love my Eufy too.

Mines the 15c max.

I got the max because I have pets.

Look on Amazon and they compare the models.

Soffit · 09/03/2022 11:44

I think it only works in houses which are already spick and span (by my standards anyway!). They are not miracle workers. They are unlikely to rise to a challenge with the same gusto as elbow grease

Lavendersquare · 09/03/2022 11:49

@Foxglovesandlilacs86
Getting an Eufy is on my to do list, I've wanted one for ages and your post has reinforced this for me.

Out of interest which model did you buy? I'm leaning towards the G30 as I think this should work for us.

CaribouCarafe · 09/03/2022 11:59

We have a eufy too and have tiled floors and persian carpets. We had to take off the twirly side brush thing as it was struggling to mount the carpets and I was worried about it causing damage.

It's generally good however it does struggle with getting stuff that's in corners (probably due to not having the side brush) and sometimes leaves deposits when it mounts from one surface to another. Definitely useful in the long run as we have longhair indoor cats who are messy eaters and track litter around... bit it's not perfect and we still bring out the real vacuum for a once over now and again

ElIie · 09/03/2022 12:01

I’ve been thinking about getting one for my parents.

How do they work on stairs and landings? Also corners of rooms.

Caspianberg · 09/03/2022 12:08

Love ours. Eufy. Had about 2 years. He doesn’t do stairs though.
But he turns himself on every morning at 7am whilst we are busy upstairs getting ready, and in 30 mins does a pretty good clean of kitchen diner, living room, playrooms and hallway.

I still get Miele out for skirting and deep clean occasionally, but eufy does 95% of daily stuff. Cat hair, toddler biscuit crumbs, gone
