My robot hoover has changed my life!

Ok so maybe a bit dramatic BUT I have a very big house and lots of children and I hate hoovering! I do all my housework when the youngest three are napping, which means if I'm doing upstairs I can't hoover because I don't want to wake them up.

I bought a eufy and it's made life so much easier, I put it on in the kitchen in the morning and when I get back the floor is clean and I mop it straight away. Then whichever area of the hous sim cleaning that day (I follow tomm) I just run it when I've finished dusting.

I just thought I'd post about it in case anyone is considering getting one, I'm so impressed with it!

Currently looking at coverless washable duvets to try and make my life even easier Smile

I love ours! I bought one at the start of the year after my husband left as I have the children most of the time, work full time, etc. so thought it would be one less thing for me to worry about. Harry (named by the children) vacuums the kitchen and hallway every day, and then other rooms as needed. One of my best purchases!

We've got small step down on one room in out house, are these smart hoover smart enough to avoid?

I reeeeaaaallly want one, I think it would change my life!

For those who have one, can I ask which one you have and how well it copes with 'chunky' dirt? For example, there's often reasonably sizable bits of mud around our front door where people insist on taking their wellies off in the house Hmm or escaped dog biscuits loitering in the kitchen...

Most of them have a depth sensor so will avoid steps etc. Sometimes black carpet can confuse some of them as a result, but others work in a diferent way and are fine with that. On some of them - mine is a Neato and has this - you can set 'no go' lines on the floorplan in the app, and then prevent it from going too near stairs or other places you're worried about.

I don't think mine would pick up dog biscuits though. Smaller chunks of mud, probably, depending on size.

Thanks AeroMocha, I'll look out for this feature.

With got Effie the Eufy (30c, currently £160 on amazon). And we love her.
She's set to run once we've cleared and wiped the table down after breakfast, amd again in the evening table and worktops are wiped down when everyone's finished eating, and mop my way out of thenkitchen last thing at night.
Set her running and leave her to do her business for half an hour or so, either send her back to charging port or she finds her own way back when low on battery.

We have Arnie (Robovac) and his googly eyes fell off and he ate them. It does make the whole house neater as you do have to pick stuff of the floor! So win win!

I love my eufy 30c, I just let it run around upstairs once a week and it's so satisfying emptying it after, so gross to see how much dust in 1 week. Then downstairs a few times a week. It's gets so much more up than a normal hoover.
