Morning all!

Thought I would start today's thread as up and about early this morning. Can't do links so hopefully someone more experienced will be along soon to help me out on that one!

Have got quite a little list going on today and have even managed to do some of it already ! Will pop back in after breakfast and see how things are going!

OP posts:
Lazylou · 02/01/2008 07:52

DontDreamItBeIt · 02/01/2008 08:14

Well done Lazylou
Nothing wong with those links at all!

DontDreamItBeIt · 02/01/2008 08:19

Well I didn' get to bed il gone 2 and was up wih ds a 7.30 so I'm not in he cheeriest of moods today.
Hopeflly I can keep us all busy and get everyone o bed early tonigh. The dds are back to school tomorrow so I have plenty to keep me busy.

FLYbabies.....your sink should be shiny at the start and the end of the day, and we should all be getting dressed (to the shoes) as soon as we wake up.

I don't wear my shoes at home, but do wear old crocs or hard soleed slippers so I can go outside in them if I need to.

MrsWeasleysmagicmincepies · 02/01/2008 08:22

Thank you. Up early so will get going on my tasks.

glitterfairy · 02/01/2008 08:23

Hello lazylou and dontdreamit I still havent shined my sink as my dd didnt put away the washing up but will do today.

I will be doing both baby step and mission as for the first I am working today so getting dressed is a must and for the second I need to do it to get out of the house!

Have sprayed my oven with cleaner and am closing the door until I get home!

PeachyHasAFiggyPudInTheOven · 02/01/2008 08:24

No shoes in the hoouse! Dh would be mortified!

Sink shiny AND I cleared out all the cupboards ready for baby stuff- yay!

Simply · 02/01/2008 08:25

Morning both! I'm off to work so I'll see you on the thread later. I've left a list for ds and the au pair so hopefully the house will look a little tidier when I arrive home. The plan is that I concentrate on de-cluttering, leaving the general cleaning to others where possible. Then, when it is decluttered, we'll do it between us. Must dash. Have a good day all.

Shannaratinger · 02/01/2008 08:26

Oooops, sorry. I had a bit of a delay there between previewing and posting. I was emptying the w/m and putting dd's still dirt-engrained jeans (we went walking yesterday) to soak. Morning all.

Lazylou · 02/01/2008 08:28

Thanks DontDreamIt! Glad it worked!

Well today my list consists of:

*Going into town and getting a duplicate council tax statement for DD's school application forms

*Start sorting out bathroom, as we are having a whole new one fitted next week

*Ring hospital re: changing scan appointment

*Change our bed (did DD's on Monday when she received a late Christmas present of Lazytown bed covers)

*Sort out clothes for ironing (and actually do some of said ironing)

*Post a cheque

So far, I have:

*Made breakfast and got DD washed and dressed

*Washed up from breakfast and dried and put everything away (still got to shine my sink)

*Taken Christmas decs down and put them away

*First load of washing just finishing in the machine now.

I am really proud of myself for getting up and getting on with it this morning, considering the baby wouldn't let me sleep until nearly 4 this morning. Think this is the shape of things to come . I will probably sneak off for an hour later, depending on whether or not I manage to get all this other stuff done early enough!

And morning to all those who joined in whilst I was writing that last post!

Good morning flybabies!

My flylady hit last night and I cleared out the kitchen cupboards. Took DH to them and made him stand and admire the order!

Today I shall be mostly clearing some work for school so that I can start decorating the kitchen.

Shine my sink first and put on some washing.

SaggyOldBagpuss · 02/01/2008 08:41

Morning

Missions today shouldn't take me that long as there is only half the stuff in the hall that there normally is due to chrimble and new year it has all been cleared away.

Breakfast

Other jobs to do this morning

File tax return online

Shannaratinger · 02/01/2008 08:42

Morning to everyone i missed their was a delay between starting adn finishing the thread.

Glad everyone seems to be having a good start to the day.

Remember 15 minutes and babysteps

FunkyGlassSlipper · 02/01/2008 08:43

Morning Guys.

Had a drama already as the cat bought a LIVE robin into the house. I managed to put a mixing bowl over it and stop the cat getting it further. DH put it on the patio but it wasnt moving so then I got in a panic and started looking at RSPB website about what to do with cat-attacked birds. I got a box, put holes in it and when DH went outside to get it the thing flew away ....

My sink is shiny and I am dressed
I have also loaded the w/m and d/w. I'm going out this morning so wont get anything done until later.

I either wear shoes in the house (if I'm going in and out all day) or I have a pair of shoes by the back door so I dont put off putting the rubbish out etc.

yaddayule · 02/01/2008 09:03

Crikey !
You lot are keen this morning !
Waves to all newbies

Weeeeeel

DD is still asleep
DS just woken up and having his breakfast
I'm in pj's with a cup of tea and dh's huge dressing gown as for some reason the heating didn't go on this morning

I need to :

Hoover (still have remains of tortilla chips everywhere from the party)
Mop floors (sticky beer stains)
Clean out slow cooker (moldering chilli)
Take down Christmas/NY decorations
Move toys from dining room to toy box
Clean loo's
Find place for new fancy dress stuff
Re jig sainsburys order
Shine sink

Thats it for now

BTW I'm not wearing the tea i'm drinking it!

yaddayule · 02/01/2008 09:05

Oh and forgot to say ...

HAPPY NEW YEAR

and

Yay for Robins break for freedom!

Lazylou · 02/01/2008 09:06

The shoes by the door is a good idea FGS and one that I shall remember because I can be a bit lazy about taking the rubbish out . Tend to leave it by the front door for DH to do when he gets in from work.

Well, am just having a cup of tea before heading into town. My bed has since been stripped and the bedding is now swirling happily in the w/m, the first load is drying merrily on the drying racks.

DD had just come in and announced that she has a tattoo on her hand. Bearing in mind she was clean 10 minutes ago, she is now dressed as Stephanie (grrr Lazytown) and has helpfully drawn all over her hands ...

Glitterfairy hello, nice to see you back (I was here with you before under another name )
Peachy, shanna, MrsWeasley, Bramble, Bagpuss Hello to you all

I'm still in bed , was very shocked to see so many posts already this morning, then realised it's already9am! MUST get up and dressed and on with the day....
Dh is back to work so I need to get back into a basic routine around the house.

I need to tidy our little porch/front door area but the hallways isn't too bed. Also need to do some washing and ironing.

Better get the kids and myself dressed, see you later x

ludaloo · 02/01/2008 09:11

Wow what a busy thread! I have tried to read through the 4 pages from yesterday, but have forgotton eveyone's names already!

Its brilliant to see so many Flyers

Hello and welcome to all newbies, and those returning...
Hi to Glitterfairy, hope you are better now, lovely to see you back
Hi also to Lazylou, lovely to see you again too! How is uni?

Well hopefully DH is back in work today...I can't get anything done while he is at home and I never get on the computer either.

I do have to go to town at some point today...want to buy some curtains in the Argos Sale. Have to go to the bank too.

Well I managed to get downstairs pretty tidy yesterday, didn't shine my sink though...will have to do that today.
Upstairs is a tip, so will concentrate on that today.

I also already have got in the habit of putting shoes on...I get sick of treading on wet bits from various spilled drinks, or drips from the D/W, or other people's footsteps out the bathroom etc.
I've got a pair of slip on mule type things

Lazylou · 02/01/2008 09:21

Hi Luda, it is really nice to be back here but it seems I am spending more time chatting than doing any actual work . Uni is going really well. I passed the first year and am now in the process of writing my dissertation. Have had a few problems with low blood pressure through this pg so at times feel like curling up into a ball (the bump doesn't make that easy lol) and sleeping rather than writing about outdoor play etc... Thanks for asking though, it's really nice you remembered (emotional outburst coming up lol)
