Morning all!

Thought I would start today's thread as up and about early this morning. Can't do links so hopefully someone more experienced will be along soon to help me out on that one!

Have got quite a little list going on today and have even managed to do some of it already ! Will pop back in after breakfast and see how things are going!

Lazylou ahhh I'm glad uni is going ok, I admire your perserverance with the dissertation and being pregnant! (I gave up on mine when I fell pregnant with DD1)
When is it due? Do you know what sex it will be? Have you any names planned? What is your course at Uni...sounds interesting...is it teaching?

Have I asked enough questions??!

Sorry...[very nosey emoticon]

Well, I have reserved my curtains, so I had better get dressed and get the kids ready.

xx

ludaloo · 02/01/2008 09:57

Good place to start Ruby

beautifuldays · 02/01/2008 09:58

morning everyone

managed to get dressed to shoes as soon as i got up but twas an effort!

my aim for today is to get all the christmas decs put away so the house can return to some sort of normality... and do the mission, hopefully!

you experienced flyers sound very organised, i am in awe

tibni · 02/01/2008 10:10

morning everyone,

No shoes in this house either but I did take the time out to "fix my face" - well more throw every anti wrinkle product on and s&s.

Have friends over today but I am going to at least do a couple of hotspots and the mission.

I know the routines its just actually doing them thats my problem!

have a good day everyone

Crikey you lot - you put an old woman to shame - still in holiday mode and so far have only:

  • got dressed to shoes plus hint make-up (find shoes VITAL) not a pretty sight but feel vaguely efficient
  • washed a load of underwear (clean white pants also vital for full Flylady effect I imagine)
  • now bracing myself for the kitchen ....but at least no Robins to contend with here

thanks for the encouragement ...

yaddayah · 02/01/2008 10:38

Ds tried to take the tinsel off the tree as thats one of the jobs for today and broke a bauble

BiancaCastafiore · 02/01/2008 12:27

Hello again

lol at Grouchy's dh cluttering the place up - I sooo know what you mean Mine has gone back to work today too

I have been rather enjoying being able to get back to normal a little bit this morning and have
~doen my orning routine (except make my bed - cat is very comfy on it, I didn't have the heart to move him!)
~cleared worktops in kitchen (left over wine etc from party)
~emptied a couple of kitchen cupboards and thrown out old packets etc
~played Lego Star Wars with ds
~tried to make scoubido necklaces with dd and failed - they're so tricky and he instructions are too small!

Need to get some lunch soon and plan a decent supper for later.

2nd load is in wm. I have a problem with my washing though - why is it that just recently some clothes have a musty smell even after being washed? They're more smelly when they come out than they were when they went in!! It's not everything, just some items it's not as though it's only if I've left damp clothes in the td (although I am guilty of that sometimes)...any ideas?

Better go and start thinking about lunch.
Back later x

FunkyGlassSlipper · 02/01/2008 13:41

? Afternoon routine

  1. Clear away lunch things - DONE
  2. Empty/reload dishwasher - DONE
  3. Hang out/collect washing - DONE
  4. Swish & swipe downstairs loo - WILL GO AND DO NOW
  5. 15 minutes - WILL FOCUS ON HALLWAY
  6. DRINK SOME WATER - WILL DO NOW
  7. Kelly?s Mission - INCLUDED IN MY 15 MINS

Both Dds have gone to sleep and I'm very tempted to MN so if I'm back here sooner than 20 mins then send me away please....

FunkyGlassSlipper · 02/01/2008 13:57

Ok, so I've attacked the hallway & downstairs loo. In 15 minutes I managed:

CLEAN RADIATOR - HALL
CLEAN SHELF IN HALLWAY - HALL
CLEAR STAIRS - HALL
CLEAN CUPBOARD DOOR - HALL
CLEAN WINDOWS & DOORS - HALL
DUST SKIRTING BOARDS - HALL
STRAIGHTEN COAT RACK - HALL
CLEAN LOO & SINK - DOWNSTAIRS LOO
CLEAN WINDOW SILLS - DOWNSTAIRS LOO
CLEAN WINDOWS & DOORS - DOWNSTAIRS LOO
DUST SKIRTING BOARDS - DOWNSTAIRS LOO

Which just goes to show if you plan what you are going to do (I have a list for each room) [sad emoticon] then you can achieve a lot in a short space of time.

The only thing left to do in the hall now is mop the floor but I hate doing that so will do it another day

FunkyGlassSlipper · 02/01/2008 13:59

By the way in case anyone is wondering I have all these things in a master spreadsheet [double sad emoticon] so I dont write them all the time as I wouldnt never get anything done if I did that...

Lomond · 02/01/2008 14:40

Hi, Can I join all you fly ladies? My sink has been cleaned and is lovely and shiny!

It is a bit daunting looking at all the experts, is it possible to fit everything in with two children?

I feel I need to start this as I need to structure my time more. I am not lazy or anything I just tend to go from job to job, starting everything but not necessarilty finishing everything!

Hoping you can all keep me on track with this x
