I am getting it tidy slowly. I am very congested and my head hurts when i bend down. nearly clear enough to hoover.
DC are watching a film upstairs so that i can get it done.

Grouchyoscar · 31/12/2007 15:39

Blinking Flip {shock] it's mega busy on here today!

A Big Final Grouchy HELLO of 2007 and a big waves to the Newbies

Did most of today's Flying last night. Before bedtime I

Cleaned the hob
Cleaned the work surfaces
Load and run DW
Empty WM
Hang up wet washing to dry
Tidy round front room
Clean kitchen table

So This morning I
Made the bed
Draw curtains
Have shower
Dress to shoes
Go to town Get Ed his pumps for school
Empty DW
Put away
Sort through paperwork
Organise letters for posting
Do online banking

To Do
General tiding and S&Sing
Make a control journal and write my routines

I have 2 idiots playing Wii Sports in the front room, Oh Joy!

Alambil · 31/12/2007 15:43

Sounds good Grouchy

I think it has gone to 3 pages cos I made the longest post in the world! (wanted opinions on my routine thingy so posted it!!)

It was rather long, but seems I did a good job; just got to physically do it now lol lol

For the holidays, I'm going to have to scrap the afternoon stuff and shift it to evening - ds is going nuts and keeps undoing all the tidying I manage, so I admit defeat!

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 31/12/2007 15:48

Front room is tidy. Well, as tidy as its going to get today!

Hi GO. Lewis I may nick some ideas off your routine!
See, even too lazy to do one of them for myself!

Alambil · 31/12/2007 16:05

LOL tort feel free!

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 31/12/2007 16:22

DC are going watch Oliver now. One of my fave films.
Can someone clear up the lunch bits while i rest my poor head?
Hopefully tablets will kick in soon!

Grouchyoscar · 31/12/2007 16:23

I probably wont get chance to log on again today so

Can i wish you All

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR and a prosperous 2008

Thanks for everything you've done to help me through 2007, you have been fantastic support and great friends

Take Care
GO x

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 31/12/2007 18:38

Any FLYers with new years resolutions?
Here are mine...

  1. lose weight/exercise more.
  2. eat healthier.
  3. clear my house of junk and clutter
  4. join match.com!!
  5. Do more with my 4 dc.

I think they are managable. Plan to do number 4 tomorrow night when DC are in bed!

Alambil · 31/12/2007 18:44

Mine are:

  1. Lose 8 stone by August
  2. Keep eating healthily forever
  3. Keep my house tidy/clutter free/clean
  4. Do all paperwork on time
  5. Keep VERY organised at uni (from September)
  6. Be a better mum (less shouty )
  7. Get a social life (and bloke, hopefully)
DontDreamItBeIt · 31/12/2007 19:29

lol @ lose 8 stone

I saw your dating thread his week, too tortoise

No resolutions here, but I too would like to be less shouty As the children get older, I seem to have less and less patience.

I'd leave get up on your list Lewis thenby the time you get online to report you will be able to say you have done at least one thing on the list
Unless you mn in bed on a laptop of course.

OP posts:
Alambil · 31/12/2007 19:33

That is why it is on there - babysteps (ROFL!)

What is funny about losing 8st? (missing something...)

I am serious - going to lose it cos I want to be a size 12 goddess when I go to uni and it WILL happen. Under all this fat (all size 20 of it), I have a gorgeous figure - even if I do say so myself!

DontDreamItBeIt · 31/12/2007 19:39

Sorry. Didn't mean to be rude. Just that 8 stone seems an awful lot to lose in 8 months.
I don't do diets at all so I don't know if it is realistic or not tbh.

OP posts:
Alambil · 31/12/2007 19:48

Oh I didn't take it as rude - forgot to put the on...

I have lost 2 stone in 10 weeks on a specific diet / excersise regime and have been advised by the nutritionist and personal trainer that it is a great goal (may not get wholly there - but most of the way...)

I am doing it perfectly safely by simply eating the right things and exersising - no funny diets here

FunkyGlassSlipper · 31/12/2007 20:32

Sorry but at Jas sticking her foot in it!

Lewis - 8 stone is a massive amount to lose so I wish you all the best with it! It sounds like you are doing very well already if you've already lost 2.

Happy New Year everyone!

FunkyGlassSlipper · 31/12/2007 20:33

Btw, Tort your resolutions look fine. Let us know how you get on with match.com

I am planning to go to a water workout each week (I currently do no exercise) and also plan a night out every month with a friend. Not much to ask is it...

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 31/12/2007 20:41

Thanks FGS. I could do with help thinking of a user name if anyone has any bright ideas to add to the suggestions so far!

Lewis 8st sounds a big task but you sound positive enough to do it. Any tips? Although i really only need to lose about a stone or 2. Lost about 1 and 3/4 stones last year! Sl;ow progress lol! Good luck with it.

Well, my DC are being a bit wild! lol! Which has resulted in a bumped head for DS2! Totally there own faults though! But they are having fun.

Wonder if they will all make it to midnight?

DontDreamItBeIt · 31/12/2007 21:06

I'VE TOLD THE DDS HEY CAN STAY UP BUT ONLY IN THEIR ROOM. I CAN' HAVE THM UP ALL NIGHT DOWN HERe(oopsI should look up occasionally when I type, sorry about the caps)

I don't need o die (I seem o be losing weight without trying at the momet) but really should exercise. I had m bike stole a couple of months ago, so that idea is a no go. I may try and start going o yoga again instead.

OP posts:
DontDreamItBeIt · 31/12/2007 21:10

I don't need to diet

OP posts:
ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 31/12/2007 21:12

Awww! Adds to the fun if they are all up. DD2 is flagging! Don't think she will make it tbh.
You are lucky not needing to diet.

Simply · 31/12/2007 21:29

Sorry, just a quick post from me as I have to get ready to go out in 15 mins.

Welcome to all newbies.

Lewis I know someone who has achieved a similar weight loss in the last 9 months so it can be done. It was with the R'mary C diet.

luda and BC I need to e-mail you both re: this coming w/e. Sorry. Will try to do it tomorrow night as I'm out all day and then working Weds.

Right. Blwyddyn Newydd Dda i chi gyd. Happy New Year to you all.

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 31/12/2007 21:35

Happy new year simply

Alambil · 31/12/2007 21:55

I'm doing a Low GI one - very good, very healthy, works for life - and fast results!

It is also helping with some medical conditions I have so that has to be a bonus too.

Thanks for all the well wishes

Have a great night - I will be on here all night (well not ALL night!) cos I'm sad and have nowhere to go!

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 31/12/2007 21:57

Maybe i should look into lo gi diet. Often though it sounded good.
I am here until at least midnight too.
And on scrabble if anyone is playing

DontDreamItBeIt · 31/12/2007 21:58
