How often do you clean your bathrooms?

DP thinks I clean the bathrooms unnecessarily I.e. they don’t need doing when I do them. My argument is that’s the whole point, you clean them so they don’t get to a point of “looking” unclean.

I have two bathrooms and do them both fully twice a week, daily bleach/toilet cleaner down the toilet, white vinegar on the taps once a week (independent of full cleans) and mop the floors at least once a week (in addition to full cleans when floor also gets done).

What’s a normal amount?

I don’t expect him to clean the bathrooms twice a week and me do nothing. But if he did it once, or one of them once, it would feel fairer

In your OP you asked what was a normal amount - a full weekly clean is probably close to a normal amount for some.

So why would he clean them or even one of them once a week if you were still doing everything you choose to do? Which is still top heavy for a lot of us!!

Once a week

Every Wednesday. Sometimes an epic deep clean, more often a rushed wipe over as it's my least favourite job EVER.

He can't clean when you are constantly cleaning.
I'd find you unbeatable to live with. You sound like my MIL who I'm sure cleans the way she does out of a deep sense of unfulfilment

Cleaner does them once a fortnight and I give the sinks/bath a wipe down every so often in between and stick some bleach down the loo.

I clean the bathrooms once a week - unless we get a really mess loo.
It's my job as dh works more hours than me.
We share the shopping but dh will Hoover from top to bottom once a week.
The house is immaculate so as there is only 2 of us most of the time.
Give you dh his 'jobs' ti be done on the required days and you carry on with the bathrooms

@saltandpepper234 but you don’t have to do all this cleaning, you are choosing to clean much more than needed. This is your choice and you could easily make things fairer by doing less.

Um not twice a week . I put bleach down when I think of it, I clean the sink and shower in the en-suite when it looks manky, ditto the downstairs sink and main bathroom gets cleaned after kids leave for university each holiday and if someone visits

Weekly usually or when they need doing or when we have visitors. I hate all the chemicals.
