I change mine every day because I dry the dog bowls with it, then chuck it in the washing machine.

I don't really use them but if I had dog bowls I would use kitchen towel to dry.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 05/10/2021 07:38

when they are wet/dirty

HarebrightCedarmoon · 05/10/2021 08:23

These threads make me realise why SE Water said we use 40% less water than an average family of four 🤣

HungryHippo11 · 05/10/2021 08:25

I just have a big bunch in the drawer and grab one or another when I need to do something. I stick them in the wash if they're very damp or look dirty

sunglassesonthetable · 05/10/2021 08:25

If they get wet or daily whichever comes first. There are always loads going through my wash.

TheFlis12345 · 05/10/2021 08:47

Once a week? We barely use them though, separate towel for hands, oven gloves, cloths for wiping sides, dishwasher etc. Tea towel only used to occasionally dry something I want to use again like a knife.

ginslinger · 05/10/2021 08:49

usually when it walks to the washing machine because it's ashamed of being so filthy. I tend to only use tea towels to grab things from the oven - I don't think I've ever dried anything with one.

Anjo2011 · 05/10/2021 08:49

I use two a day and they both go in the washing machine in the evening along with the dishcloth that I’ve used that day.

Bramshott · 05/10/2021 09:45

Ha ha and there was me thinking I was really good and super hygienic because I change mine once a week!

Yes, quite, me too!

Daily.

RedRiverShore · 05/10/2021 21:51

About every 4 or 5 days but I don't use them for proper drying just mopping if stuff is a bit damp from dishwasher. In the caravan where we wash up properly a teatowel does 2 or 3 washing ups usually.

Polmuggle · 05/10/2021 22:11

Good lord! Maybe once a month!

RedRiverShore · 05/10/2021 22:14

We have a fairly new consumer unit, I didn't know there was a sticker on it, I must have a look, it is in a small low cupboard though so probably hard to spot.

RedRiverShore · 05/10/2021 22:16

When the washing machine is going on, which is usually every other day, we chuck the tea towel, hand towel and kitchen cloth in too.

olderthanyouthink · 07/10/2021 11:21

Countless we have tea towels, hand towels and often a muslin on the go. If the toddler gets hold of it it's probably going in the wash, if I'm cooking with her a towel gets nominated as the gross towel for her to wipe her eggy/sticky/greasy hands on.

Oh and that get washed with e cloth nappies Halo

You'd need two machines on the go constantly to keep up!
