How often do you change your tea towel ?

I change mine every day because I dry the dog bowls with it, then chuck it in the washing machine.

Every other day.
But we have a dishwasher.

Pinkchocolate · 02/10/2021 19:38

I’m shocked at how many people wash them daily! I have about three on the go and usually wash them about twice a week. I don’t use them to clean spillages though, that’s all tissue.

SylvanasWindrunner · 02/10/2021 19:40

Daily/every couple of days, but we use them for loads of stuff. If we just used them for drying then probably once every fortnight!

IglesiasPiggl · 02/10/2021 19:42

Weekly, but it's hardly used. I have a dishwasher, separate hand towel and oven glove, and no pets.

LuluJakey1 · 02/10/2021 19:42

Every day or every other day- no longer.

LockdownCheeseToastie · 02/10/2021 19:44

Single use here- teens chuck them in the wash constantly.

Itsbeen84yearss · 02/10/2021 19:45

Daily

Angel2702 · 02/10/2021 19:45

Each time it’s used. Mostly use the dish washer so might be a few days but it gets used and put in wash.

megletthesecond · 02/10/2021 19:47

Every day. It invariably gets used to wipe up the kids spillages on the floor.

Dragonpox · 02/10/2021 19:47

I've ditched tea towels on favour of using all the old baby muslins I had in a box. They are SO much better. I tend to use one each mealtime. First it gets used to wipe hands and face of toddler and then used to wipe up the table. Then it goes in the wash pile.and washed with whatever load goes on next. I was racing through kitchen towels (paper) so think this is better for the environment despite the washing. But then toddler is filthy so you wouldn't want to reuse it!

YanTanTetheraPetheraPimp · 02/10/2021 19:47

It depends how much I use them, sometimes at least once a day weekly if hardly used. Hand towels probably use 4 or 5 a week?

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 02/10/2021 19:48

At least daily, often twice a day.

MrsFin · 02/10/2021 19:50

Not often enough.

HalzTangz · 02/10/2021 19:52

I have two, one for dogs bowls, one for human dishes. Both changed daily
IM0GEN · 02/10/2021 20:01

Daily or more often . It’s one of the few things I’m fussy about - by MN standards I’m a slattern.

Whentheydontmeanwhattheysay · 02/10/2021 20:05

Kitchen hand towel -daily but sometimes changed twice a day because I wash my hands a lot and it gets soggy.
Tea towel is rarely used as we have a dish washer & use an oven glove to get hot things out of the oven -changed every day or two days depending if it’s been used.

About twice a week, yet another example of my cleanliness standards being lower than average Grin

SquigglePigs · 02/10/2021 20:48

We tend to have a couple on the go and they get chucked in the wash whenever I put on a tumble load/remember, so maybe a couple of times a week but it's variable. We have a dishwasher though so they only get used for glasses, knives and the odd pan really.

Claudia84 · 02/10/2021 20:53

Daily as my OH insists on using it to wipe the sides. It's disgusting.

Doublechins · 02/10/2021 21:11

3 times a day once after drying breakfast dishes then again after lunch and again after dinner. We don't have a dishwasher and there are 6 of us so a lot of dishes

SunShinesBrightly · 02/10/2021 21:13

Every day and I don’t dry pet bowls with them either!

Oblomov21 · 02/10/2021 21:14

Daily?

Twice or 3 times a week.

SunShinesBrightly · 02/10/2021 21:14

My DH (disgusting husband) does this too.
