Playing the Minimalism Game

For the month of October I am challenging myself to playing the 30 Day Minimalism Game as described by various people on their YouTube channels including The Minimalists. I prefer Jolita Bartkus' video on this. I know October has 31 days but the last day is for reflecting on how the month went.

How to Play: On the 1st you declutter one thing, on the 2nd you declutter 2 things, on the 3rd three things and so on. By the end of 30th day, 465 items should have been decluttered. Well, that's the aim.

I've been on this decluttering lark for a few years now so it'll be an interesting project. I'll try to update everyday of what was decluttered and maybe a little story of some of the items. I'm doing this online as a way to hold myself to account but I would welcome anyone who would like to join me.

It starts tomorrow. Eek!

That’s very understandable ! You’ve done great so far and changing daily habits and getting rid of stuff as you go right away will help in the long run . Maybe I’ll see you again in Jan !
I’ve been putting things aside and on a list as I notice them . Some have already left the house I’m up to around 65 now and I’ll keep on going . DH has built the two remaining wardrobes in the top floor , one into the guest room and one for storage for my wrapping papers, cards , presents etc into the attic room . He also went to the dump . I’m getting a food bank load ready and also one for charity shop .
Next I’m going to go look at things in the attic room ,I’m sure there stuff that can go . need to organise and make space for the stuff we’ll keep from the storage locker . I hate how tired I always am though and how much pain I have it stops me getting anything done …
