New dishwasher - can't fit wine glasses in

I had to get a new dishwasher as our old one died. The new one has a tray at the top for cutlery, but even with the middle tray at the lowest setting i cannot fit the wine glasses in. I've broken one putting it on the lower shelf. How are other people dealing with this problem, are there any solutions? My wine glasses are not that tall and I can't even fit some of the pint glasses in. So disappointing.

I will give that a try i didn't know what the flap at the bottom was for. Thought it might be to replace the flap that used to be at the top of my old one that was for large knifes and utensils. I don't think i would fit any large items like china or a whisk on my top cutlery tray there isn't enough room.
