No mission

Hello all

OP posts:
ludaloo · 10/11/2007 08:35

Hi GO....I think we started a thread at the same time!...I'll come over here, your title is waaay perkier than mine

I am feeling fab
(well apart from a toothache...but I'm not gonna grumble about that)
I slept ALL the way through the night...and woke about 8am

Hurrah!

Well not sure what I'm doing today...need to do a food shop.

BiancaCastafiore · 10/11/2007 09:01

Good morning Hope everyone is well this morning?

Grouchy hope you're OK today. Any plans fo rthe weekend?

Luda Glad you're feeling better and have had such a good sleep - long may it comtinue!

I missed torts pictures last night

And I missed isketch

No work for me today (hurray!) cos I've done 12 hours extra this week already. I'll be working every Saturday between here and Christmas now though Still, the pay cheques will (almost) make it worth it not that it pays well - worst part of working for family.

We're off out for lunch with friends today so I'm having all my usual anxiety problems I've been much better lately and manage some of the things which have been difficult in the past (I walk to school every day for eg) but today is making me feeling all sicky and worried...I know it'll be a nice day out and the friends are lovely and know what I'm like so I hope to combat my fears and go along and enjoy myself.

Nothing much else to do today - I need to do some laundry and a quick s&s in the kitchen but try to keep the FLYing to a minimum at the weekends these days.

ludaloo · 10/11/2007 09:29

Morning bianca

I'm hoping it will continue too! It feels such a relief to have slept and stayed asleep!
I hope you have a good day today, I'm sorry you are feeling anxious but I am sure you'll have a great time.

I missed Isketch too...but I might join in today.
I missed photo's too...what were they of?

Our body shop party went well...good turn out, and I got some nice face cream, an eye soother pad thingy and my favorite spray I was running low on. I also won a lip balm and some pineapple and coconut spray.
Good Haul!!

Well Dh is just getting up so I'm off to put the kettle on....

BiancaCastafiore · 10/11/2007 09:40

Sounds as though it was a fun evening Luda Enjoy pamering yourself with all your goodies

Torts pics were (I think) and her and her los.

I may try to come on iSketch later too, haven't played for a while and used to really enjoy it

I'm sure I'll have a good time today too (trying my upmost to think positivly )

Better go and collect dd (she has sports club from 9-10 on a Sat morning)

See you later x x

tortoise · 10/11/2007 10:03

Morning.
Luda Glad you had a better sleep.
Bianca Hi. Enjoy your lunch out. You will be fine. You are doing so well now.
I will put pic back on if you like. And i didn't get to play isketch! There wasn't a MN room and then DD2 woke up all hot again. She is fine this morning.

I hope to do something housework wise today! Feeling more awake than yesterday.

BiancaCastafiore · 10/11/2007 10:34

Great picture Tort, really lovely of all 5 of you...what a lovely family - your los always have such great s

Maybe we'll try iSketch this eve if I can get on the computer? x

tortoise · 10/11/2007 10:38

I would be up for isketch later.
Its so hard to get them all looking good in a joint photo! Always one looking the wrong way.

SlightlyMadStuffing · 10/11/2007 10:39

If it is any consolation iSketch was crap. There was only 4 of us and my mouse was playing up. It doesn't track well on my desk and it would suddenly shoot random lines out to random places on the screen.....

DD3 not well still. Am bordering on taking her to walk-in, but her temp is still stable & controllable which is one main thing he was concerned about.

GP told me to prop her head in bed (which we were doing anyway but I propped it more) and she ended up at the wrong end of hte cot so she was propped the wrong way and woke up almost making herself sick coughing.

Oh well better go. Me and her are still in PJs, she is currenlty emptying DVD cupboard and we need to get to butchers before it shuts at 12....

EHM · 10/11/2007 13:00

Quick Hello & to all. I am visiting my parents from this afternoon until Tuesday. My Mum is coming back with me for a couple of days as DH & I have a night out on Wednesday. Mum will babysit Ellie. Enjoy your weekend & I hope that you & your lo's are all well.x.x.x

tortoise · 10/11/2007 13:39

I am getting zilch done! with myself.
I have walked to the shops and back though!
EHM Have a good time away.

ludaloo · 10/11/2007 15:50

Hi

Well, I have been shopping...cupboards all stocked again, all put away, guinea pigs were going mad listening to me put all the shopping away (they squeak when a packet rustles)so they are cleaned out and have fresh food...happy piggies!

I feel bizarrely good tempered today! despite having to take all 3 kids around Lidls and Iceland...and get it all out the car in odds and sods because I never remember bags from Lidls....and then deflect dh who came home for a bite to eat..and he is tired and irritable and moaned about something or another....and I'm still as churpy as...a....chirpy thing!

Wonders what a bit of sleep can do!

Anyone around at the mo to play Isketch???

Neverenough · 10/11/2007 16:19

Hi Luda! at your good mood!
Hello to Bianca, EHM, and Grouchy SMS hope DD3 perks up-don't forget the antibiotics take 48 hours to kick in.

Tortoise that is a super photo-really lovely. I used to live in Somerset! The Blackdown Hills!

gibberish are we living parallel lives almost???? Just as well you have DD4( but don't tell DH!) We should swap ideas for Christmas stockings!!!!

I've never played isketch! Like I need another diversion in my life!

Have not flown at all today.....

tortoise · 10/11/2007 16:30

@ you being chirpy as a chirpy thing!

I have managed to extinguish a large hotspot in the kitchen! Wonder how long it will stay clear for. lol!
I will isketch later. ds's will be home soon.

ludaloo · 10/11/2007 16:35

Well done on the hotspot

Had to abandon Isketch momentarily...kids were trying to help themselves to the contents of the fridge while they thought I was busy! DD2 dropped a yoghurt, and proceeded to eat it off the side of the fridge!!

Now I have to just fold the washing and put supper on....so may have another go a bit later

gibberish · 10/11/2007 16:57

Afternooooooon!

Glad you are feeling so much better luda Yes, it's amazing what a bit of well needed sleep can do!

Bianca hope things have gone ok for you today. You are really dealing with your anxiety head on. Doing a grand job lass (as me old grandad used to say...)

Had a busy day today although haven't left the house apart to pick up dd1 who was babysitting overnight.

Have done all my treasury stuff. Took me about 5 hours but at least it is almost finished now. Have also filed all our paperwork and had a general tidy up. Doing nothing, apart from finish the washing. Going to sit down with my cuppa whilst the chicken for dinner defrosts and read a magazine.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend

SlightlyMadStuffing · 10/11/2007 17:13

TY NE.

The GP just scared me WRT to the pneumonia TBH. She is breathing fast but not struggling for each breath IYSWIM. I think I have a good grasp of when/if she is struggling. I have a good understanding of asthma (from the clinical side) and have been thru a double dose of bronchiolitis.

Apparently the carckles are in the lowest part of her lungs - which he said is apperently prime place for a pneumonia to set in.

BiancaCastafiore · 10/11/2007 18:06

Good evening

We're home and had a lovely time I felt awful and got in a mild state on the way there ( with myself) but was better once we arrived and I relaxed with some wine

Luda lol at you beingso chirpy!
Tort well done with the kitchen hotspot (I hate those pesky hotspots!)
SMS hope your dd is soon better x
NeverEnough you really should just give iSketch a try you know...
Gibberish Well done on getting all you rtreasury stuff sorted. I'm hopeless at that kind of thing.

Lol, dh just gave ds a Magnum ice cream for his pudding (treat night tonight), ds wondered off and dh found him holding the Magum up to the fridge saying "but it doesn't work daddy" he thought it was a magNET

Better rush and watch Come Dancing with dd - it's our girlie time.

Might try to get back for some iSketch in a while x

tortoise · 10/11/2007 18:09

Hi Bianca Glad you had a good time in the end. Lol @ DS and magnet/magnum! Bless him.

Grouchyoscar · 10/11/2007 18:32

Evening ALL

Had a broken night's sleep last night, the feedback from the interview and an YA post I applied for was so negative I started to feel like I would never get a job.

Done list

Up with Ed
Tidy front room
Tidy kitchen
Clear bottom of dresser (this week I have sorted all the storage hotspots of the kitchen )
Have breakfast
Get dressed
Go to town (Ed the shaggy mop top needed a haircut)
Go do the food shop
Home, deal with post
Seek advice about my emploment chances with the neighbour who is a BIPs worker (very positive) so I feel better and

Spend 3 hrs cleaning out the cellar

It has been a dumping ground for the past 14 years. Bikes been there for 10+ years, boxes of tools strewn everywhere, 1/2 used cans of paint, general rubbish etc Out of sight out of mind IYKWIM so I

Sweep the steps
Grot out the corridor
Clear 1/2 the work bench
Make space for the Xmas wine stash
Sort out the decorating equipment
Sort and stow tools
Sort the paint cans on other half of the workbench
Sweep the floor
Sweep the dust/flaking paint off the walls/roof
Sweep floor again
Clean out cat trays
Reflone and refill
Take all dust, gribble and paint to outdoor bin
Go up and down stairs several times with rubbish.
Stop, collapse in wobbly heap in the bath.
Hit MN

So the kitchen is organised, the cellar is tidy, Fridge, freezer and pantry restocked and Ed with tidy hair...Productive day I think

Bugger!
I just shouted at dc and now i can't talk.
They are all loud and arguing tonight.

Neverenough · 10/11/2007 20:46

SMS yes pneumonia is always a scary prospect-but the thing is that most pneumonia is actually treated in the community. Sounds like your DD is still interested in playing-if she stops doing that-worry.
Grouchy I still think you do too much-3 hours in the cellar !
Bianca I sympathise-anxiety is very difficult to live with-sounds like you are doing a good job though. Insight is half the battle!

Tortoise hope you feel calmer now

gibberish · 10/11/2007 20:47

Don't let it shake your confidence GO. It seemed that they didn't even know themselves what they were looking for so even if you had got that job, you may have found them difficult to work for.

If you possibly can, try to look at their comments positively - see it as a learning curve. If you did feel you made some mistakes, you won't make them the next time. TBH though, I think that if an interview goes very badly, it is more down to them failing you than you failing yourself. They should have put you at your ease to get the best out of you and allow you to present yourself. Sounds like they failed miserably. Put it down to their poor interviewing techniques and notch it up as experience. The next time will almost certainly be better!

tort Send them all to bed! At least you don't need your voice to mn lol.

We've just ordered a movie 'Wild Hogs' so just waiting for it to start. If it is rubbish, don't tell me...

gibberish · 10/11/2007 20:49

bianca well done on getting through the day. You are a star! at the magnet

tortoise · 10/11/2007 20:52

Voice has recovered
DD's in bed. DS's going very soon!

gibberish · 10/11/2007 20:53

Goodo. Get the wine out then
