Morning All

Don't have any plans as of yet. Must go and make some brekkie.
Kids are roller skating! (I found their skates in the cupboard yesterday and rehomed them in their rooms...but they have spotted them, so of course...they have to skate right now!

FieryGlassSlipper · 02/11/2007 08:08

Morning Guys.

Behind with everything this morning but about halfway through morning routine. Will complete after dropped DD at pre-school.

But then have some errands to run.

Have a good day all.

BiancaCastafiore · 02/11/2007 08:11

MOrning all
Have just enjoyed last nights convos - like the new name SMS
Bet you're aching after all those virtual starjumps gibberish (or is that the added bonus of virtual ones? They don't make you ache in any way?)
Hello and welcome back to tort, hope to catch up soon (have got out of the MSN habit over these past few weeks!)
FGS hope you find a comfy bra soon Mine are mostly Freya ones from Bravissimo. Hope your dds are better this morning?
Can't remember anything else, hope that covers it

Yadda the curry sounds yummy...I have no idea what to make for supper tonight and have never made a curry from scratch is it easy?
Luda you're a brave woman letting your kids scate at this time in the morning - my dd is awake enough yet - she can bearly get down the stairs without causing an accident in the mornings!

Dh and I have had serious conversations about having another baby and it turns out we're both quite tempted by the idea (in theory) we just need to work out the reality of it all - where we'd put a baby, what the knock-on effect would be on the other two (and us) etc. It's not as though we find time for "us" at the best of times....

I need to get the kids ready for school then will be abck with my list
See you soon x

ludaloudbang · 02/11/2007 08:15

Brekkie made...kids are now quietly eating their weetabix (I have sneaked their skates back in the cupboard I guess they were in the back of the cupboard for a reason!)

Well I think I will go food shopping today.
Cupboards are looking a bit bare. I usually go on a Saturday, but I'm a bit fed up with the lack of parking/long cues etc. so I'll go today instead.

Oh and the fish need cleaning out too...oh that reminds me, I need more fish food.
And Hay for the guinea's...trip to Pets At Home too I think.

BiancaCastafiore · 02/11/2007 09:54

OMGI have just sliced a huge gash in my finger by catching it on the sink drainer plug thingy! It's stopped bleeding now, thank goodness but is very nasty feeling sorry for myself now.
I'll have to mop the kitchen floor soon cos there are great blobs of blood all across it - yuk!

How do you know when something's bad enough to need stitches?

Morning.
I shouldn't be here but i am feeling down about my WM. Bearings going i think. Probably at least £95 to fix. I don't know what to do.

House is a complete tip.

BiancaCastafiore · 02/11/2007 10:40

finger has completely stopped bleeding now - think I can avoid stiches - I'm like Ruby and would rather avoid hospital (or even doctor)(owww though, it really hurts!)

Tort Not sure what to suggest re wm - hope you get something sorted soon. I'll try to come on MSN and have a chat later - have to dash to run some errands for dh now x x

FieryGlassSlipper · 02/11/2007 10:47

Tort - you could get a new one for about £200 and maybe get interest free credit.

tortoise · 02/11/2007 10:50

Thanks Bianca. glad finger stopped bleeding now.

FGS If only i had £200.

I have risked putting some washing on! Its ok until it reaches spin cycle! Erm that would be about now. lol!

EHM · 02/11/2007 11:01

bianca sounds nasty..ouch If it hadn't stopped bleeding I would have suggested A&E or Local Surgery as Nurse may clean & apply white strips? Isn't jas a nurse? she may know best
tort what about free cycle for washing machine. Sorry dont know what else to suggest
RR Go speedy

Done so far:
breakfast me & dd
feed cats

s & s bathroom
sort my handbag
hang 3 loads of clean washing(incl.Bedding)on the high dryers
4th load in wm
s & s downstairs loo
wipe & shine glass hob
s & s kitchen.
wiping furniture/window ledges upstairs/hoover
Take Ellie to Mini Moovers Class at 10
make sandwiches for car journey

Still to do
mop floors
hang 4th load of washing on airer once done

Right off to mop floors then & await wm finishing before I go off for the weekend. Have a great weekend everybody.x.x.x

EHM · 02/11/2007 11:03

tort I think you can bet reconditioned WM on Ebay. My sister's broke a few months ago & they where a bit strapped so I think they looked on Ebay. Hope this helps?

tortoise · 02/11/2007 11:03

EHM Freecycle worth a try but as i can't pick up i have less chance i think.

FieryGlassSlipper · 02/11/2007 11:14

tort - there is one on the asda website for £169 and one on the comet website for £155.

If you look around online you may be able to find one and it isnt much more than the cost of repair.

If you cant do that then definitely freecycle.

tortoise · 02/11/2007 11:19

Thanks EHM and FGS i will look on Ebay.
No cash card to buy online. Infact, no money either

EHM · 02/11/2007 11:26

Tort I know there are companies who rent washing machines now, what if you looked on line at this? May avoid big lump of cash up front?

tortoise · 02/11/2007 11:27

Thats a good idea too EHM. Ebay mostly pick up only and i can't pick up!

BiancaCastafiore · 02/11/2007 11:35

That's a good idea EHM, hope you find something Tort

Off to collect ds now, See you all later x

ludaloudbang · 02/11/2007 12:15

Hi...

Bianca hope your finger is ok now! OUCH!

EHM Hello

Tort Ah Ha you are back!...are you sure it is the bearing? I posted on your thread actually. I think EHM has a good idea about renting one...my next door neighbour does it I think.

Ruby you sound very busy and on the ball today!....Oh...you might know, I have been and bought the Guinea's some hay, picked it up thinking it was Timothy Hay or something similar, but it says it is Rabbit hay (Super Forage Excel is its name) Do you think I can still give it the guinea's?? They have their normal Muslea, and their greens, and this hay looks just like any other hay I've seen. They can't make hay especially for rabbits surely??

FGS Love the new name ...and I hope your girls are feeling better now xx

Well back from shopping, and I have half put it away (I hate putting shopping away) Just stopping for a biscuit and a drink.
will get off and put the rest away, then fix the kids some lunch.

tortoise · 02/11/2007 12:19

Luda not 100% sure its the bearing but fairly sure. Chap i phoned said it sounded like it was.
Load of washing just done. I used the variable speed dial for once! Made a big difference on length/speed of spin so the noise wasn't as bad. 2nd load on. If i can keep it going like this until after christmas it will be ok.
