Today's Mission

OP posts:
ludaloudbang · 02/11/2007 12:28

Actually you might be suprised at how long it will go for...ours did work for months with a funny noise (although I'm fairly sure it was an underwire ) We did get a new one eventually though...I had to plump for the "Studio" catalogue....it took forever to pay back, but it got us out of a hole.

ludaloudbang · 02/11/2007 13:29

Shopping all away, lunch eaten, kids all happy and fed. Fish tank "Simply Sparkling" (actually it isn't sparkling just yet, as I have done a water change and it is still very murky...but give it a few hours for the filter to work and it will be!)

Quick clean out of the guinea's then fill their food up and the pets are all happy, clean and fed too!

Must then tidy up the house!

gibberish · 02/11/2007 14:17

Afternoon all! Lol at you all saying a special hello because I am a grumpy git

Bianca don't feel a THING after those virtual star jumps! I amazing! Would certainly recommend them. I've lost a virtual 3 inches off each of my things
Oh and my recipe for curry is a doddle if you are interested! Can send you it if you want. But be sure to strap your finger before making it - you don't want the family turning into vampires lol.

Afternoon yadda That PTA stuff keeps you busy and out of trouble I hope!

EHM are you going away for the weekend?

Aw I do feel loved Ruby, thanks!

tort hope you get your WM sorted. Is a nightmare without one.

luda our remaining gp has been running around the bathroom all day She enjoys being out and having a little bit of freedom I think. Still can't decide whether to get another one to keep her company. I think she is pining.

FGS are girls ok now?

SmellyMurkySky · 02/11/2007 14:19

Is anyone going to spill their yummy curry recipes??????

DP is home this afternoon - so daren't consult my geeky spreadsheet in public ...I think I have done my prescribed jobs...apart from my 15min'er - but cleaning my worktops took longer than usual as I had more to clear because of lack of FLYing + added DP being home junk (mobile, wallet, diary, bluetooth, coins etc...)

tortoise do you know anyone at all that could fix the bearings? parts are probably only a few quid.

bianca go for it...it will all fall into place

Hello and au revoir to everyone else

gibberish · 02/11/2007 14:21

Busy day today (as per usual). Have managed to do all the missions and detail cleaned the dining room. Been out to the bank, the doctor's to pick up prescription and ran two of my daugher's around because I am the local taxi service

Lost it with them all this morning (sure I must be due on). Went off on one because I am continually picking up after them all - esp dh - and have to ask them to do the same things day in day out. Would be nice if they would just occasionally DO IT without being asked!

Also, get fed up with the kids yelling 'MUUUUUUUUUUUUUM' from another room and me going through to them. dd1 yelled for me about 4 times before I shrieked at her to come to ME for a change! She came through with my mobile in her hand, held it up to me whilst I continued to rant and rave at her. I thought I had received a text but it was actually someone from the art club who could hear everything I was saying ....

gibberish · 02/11/2007 14:23

SMS I'll post mine in a bit... just going to quickly hoover, dust and put the washing in the drier

SmellyMurkySky · 02/11/2007 14:23

at gibberish

tortoise · 02/11/2007 14:23

Thanks Gibberish and SMS. I don't know anyone who could do the machine for me unfortunatly. One of the times where i could do with a man.

I am having a big sort out of the cupboard and photographing averything ready to try and sell it all. I think i will try on MN 1st. Then if that fails i will have to start Ebay listing again. Maybe i can raise enough for a new machine!!!!!!!!!!!

gibberish · 02/11/2007 14:55

this is dh i am acutally REALLY tidy!! tidier than all the other dhs

FieryGlassSlipper · 02/11/2007 14:57

Hello Mr Gibberish.

ludaloudbang · 02/11/2007 15:12

LOL...@ Ruby being bendy! I'd like to be bendy....it'd help heaps with housework!
Oh and I think the hay will be ok too...its just hay isn't it!

gibberish That is just the sort of thing I would do! LOL...
Also I think you should get your little guinea a pal they are very sociable creatures aren't they...I'm sure she'd appreciate it.

SMS I would like to know some yummy curry recipes too!

Well I've lit the fire, cleaned all the animals out, hoovered up the mess, folded 2 loads of washing, watched 60 minute makeover, played with ds and his lego, tickled DD2 until she got the hiccups!, read DD1's reading book with her...twice...and all in Welsh!! "Dyma Fi!" (This is me!)

Better do a bit more...

ludaloudbang · 02/11/2007 15:14

Mr Gibberish it really doesn't take a lot to be tidier than my dh...but even so, you need to PICK YOUR OWN STUFF UP

gibberish · 02/11/2007 15:26

Well, that was a bit of a shock seeing 'dh' post! Esp since dh is out working and doesn't have access to a computer!!! Thought he must have posted telephathically...

Turns out was dd1 who posted - she thought dh referred to her! (Guilty conscience or what )

Actually, dh DID post a few days ago. Started a thread pretending to be me - and what's worse he had a SPELLING MISTAKE in the title! I was mortified. So had MNHQ delete it

Changed my password so he can't do it again. Have any of your OH's done this?

ludaloudbang · 02/11/2007 15:36

LOL!! Awww your DD must be feeling guilty LOL!

My dh started a row on here once! I had to change my name to "ludaloo'sdh" so that everyone was perfectly clear it was him and not me!
I know for a fact he checks up on how much I have been moaning about him from time to time...
He also likes reading the "AIBU" threads.

gibberish · 02/11/2007 15:50

lol that's not so bad then I feel slightly violated when he comes on here. This is MY place - it's where I escape the family and I just don't like it when they encroach!

Anyway, hoovering and dusting done. Infact all I have to do is put away this last load of washing and that is that in the house.

Was going to make dinner for tomorrow (having guests) but the chicken hasn't defrosted yet although I've had it in the fridge since about 8.00 this morning Don't fancy having to cook at 10pm... wonder if I could defrost it with a hairdryer

BiancaCastafiore · 02/11/2007 15:58

lol gibberish at the phone call incident and at your dd coming on here! I'd love your curry recipe please x

SMS really, you think so?...

Tort sending wm-finding vibes

My kids are driving me MAD this afternoon so I'm going to give them (and me) some time out and let them have a play on the computer.

See you all later on x

ludaloudbang · 02/11/2007 16:03

gibberish I feel the same too...It makes me really uneasy when anyone looks on here! Its my space too...away from this lot!

SmellyMurkySky · 02/11/2007 16:13

LOL at gibberish. How old is she?

I suspect DP has lurked given that he suggested that we should buy capri-sun instead of fruit-shoots or DTDs party....Don't think he has ever posted though .

Bianca. When I was 4m preg with DTDs my boss asked (in a friend to friend rather than boss to colleague way) what my plans were (wrt to returning to work/childcare etc.).

I said "I don't know but know that something will fall into place when it needs to"...and it did.

ludaloudbang · 02/11/2007 16:26

I agree SMS Things usually work themselves out.

Well I am feeling quite virtueous, I have done lots of jobs I hate doing, and have been putting off.

~Food Shopping...& Put Away (With 3 Small Kids)
~Cleaned Fire Out & Lit It
~Fish Tank
~Cleaned Kitchen Bin
~Washed Deep Fat Fryer (Inside & Out)
~Cleaned Guinea Pig Poop
~Cleaned Cooker Top
~And...Worst Job....Put Washing Piles Away (2 Piles)

That's my lot for today!

(Who am I kidding ...supper needs making...kids need bathing...DD2 has a stinky butt....sigh)

BiancaCastafiore · 02/11/2007 17:01

Well done Luda Lots ticked off your list.
Gibberish I'm the same, I love having this space to myself - I'm sure dh lurks though

I have achieved nothing much this afternoon - too tired to be bothered...
I did hoover and mop the floors downstairs this morning, and put away loads of stuff which was lying about.
Ds and I managed to get to the library too.

We've created a zoo on the cbbc website which is cool - dd is very excited about it! It looks like a fun way to learn baout animals which is becoming dds favourite thing.

Friday evening is tea-in-front-of-the-telly night so a lazy evening for us all. I'm looking forward to dh getting home so I can have 5minutes peace from the kids though!

SmellyMurkySky · 02/11/2007 17:09

Well I have come home from the school run minus DTDs - they have gone to an ad hoc playdate. I walked up there for nothing. Still it will have burned my calories than last nights starjumps I guess . Good job really as I have just gone to prep tea and found that there are barely enough potatoes for me, DP & DD3 .

Also it means we didn't have to spend 45mins in library chosing new books so I have been home and cleaned my hob.

Anyone fancy a go at DTDs homework.

They have been given a poem:

Two sailors went to sea, sea, sea
To see what they could see, see, see
..

They have to do a similar poem about a farmer.

All I can think of is

A farmer planted a pea, pea, pea
And then went home for a pee, pee, pee

And after he had a pee, pee, pee
He went and ate a pea, pea, pea

...somehow I don't think that will go down too well

sms she is 14 and can do no wrong, well in her opinion anyway...

Glad it's not just me who feels overly protective about MN. I don't even like telling other mums about it because I don't want it getting any bigger

Ruby a cream coloured carpet? Would last all of, let's see, 10 minutes unmarked in here! Mistakenly put one in dd3 and dd4's bedroom. BIG mistake. Is filthy - covered in plasticine, toy makeup etc. Going to have to take it up and put down wooden flooring.

Curry recipe coming right up!
