Today's Mission

Ruby - I have a beige carpet in my living room. It has lasted about 18 months but now has 3 significant marks on it. Plan to try and deal with them this weekend actually.

gibberish · 02/11/2007 17:24

Serves 4

1 medium onion
small knob of fresh root ginger, approx 15g
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp mild curry powder (I actually use medium as dh likes it hotter)
400g can chopped tomatoes
300ml/1/2 pint vegetable stock
1 tbsp mango chutney
200g diced chicken, fish or vegetables

  1. Peel and finely chop the onion, ginger and garlic (I crush it - much easier). Heat the oil in a heavy-based saucepan, add the onion and ginger and cook gently on a low heat for about 10 minutes. Stir in the garlic and curry powder and continue to cook for 2 minutes, stirring to coat the onions evenly with the spice mixture. Add the chicken/fish or vegetables and cook for a further 5 minutes.
  1. Stir in the tomatoes, stock and mango chutney, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat, cover and simmer gently for 20 minutes or until cooked.

I usually use chicken and add green peppers and mushrooms when putting in the chicken.

You may to add a little salt to taste. But is yummy!

Oh forgot to add you can add in 1 tbsp of chopped fresh coriander just prior to serving if you wish.

Hello FLYladies

Sorry I'm late, had a day of trying to coax Ed off the consoles/PC (then DH tells me he's bought a Wii...cheers mate

Done my routines inc

Make the pizza stuff
Make Garlic Butter
Dry spilt milk off the wool rug
Tidy Ed's 2nd trashed bedroom of the week (next time if he does it , the room can stay messy)
Tidy the trashed jigsaws in the front room (turned it into a 'can you make jigsaws?' game, whiled away 45 mins and tidies 1 boxed number game, a matching game and 5 jigsaws, but if I see that Thomas and Peter Sam by the water tower again this week I'll scweem!)

To do
Vac rug
Run wm
Ed's tea

Tomorrow Ed needs a haircut. DH's task tbh and we need some scrap books for his artistic daubings.

Have nice evenings y'all

GO I am very of the Wii. Thats what DS's want for christmas. By the looks of it they are out of stock in most shops.

I a making loads of mess pulling out the cupboard! But if it helps make some money in the end it will be worth it!

Hello everyone **

Im not using my PC much these days as DS1 plays up and will gets very moody if it is on and gets very moody when it is time to turn it off. Then by the evening Im too tired to use it.

Mum has taken the DSs to Bristol for the weekend so it is just DD and me here.

I hope everyone are well. Sorry to read about your WM Tort It was about this time last year when mine went wrong. I spent my Christmas savings to get a new one. And it is still working as new, I hope you can sort something out soon.

I going to have a read of MN now. And it will soon be time for DD to go to bed.
Take care all

HN xxxxx

Hi GO and Hazelnuts

Ruby, I'm having wooden floors upstairs. I couldn't care less if they are noisy tbh as I am just so sick of things getting spilt on the carpets. And I feel they are so unhygienic. Having rugs will minimise the noise though.

gibberish · 02/11/2007 19:34

Anyway, everything is done at last. Dinner for tomorrow is made and in the fridge so all I need to do when everyone arrives is stick on some rice and heat up the casserole.

Going to log off and read my book with a glass of vino. Night ladies. Speak to you tomorrow x

tortoise · 02/11/2007 19:46

Hi HN. Long time no speak lol!

Finally i have finishd the 1st 100 items for sale! here if anyone ants a look!
Loads to come.
And friend has just said he might be round tomorrow! AARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH! I wil be tidying all night!

SmellyMurkySky · 02/11/2007 21:30

Tortoise They still had some Wii's in stock at our Virgin megastore last weekend (or at least they had posters outside saying so).

You have some lovely things for sale. Unfortunately it is all hte wrong size for DD3 and the wrong sex for DTDs or I would have been dusting off my paypal account.

SmellyMurkySky · 02/11/2007 21:31

Oh and gibberish TY for recipe. I think I will get some curry powder and try it next weekend.

tortoise · 02/11/2007 21:44

SMS What sizes do you need? there is masses more to come lol!

Kitchen is looking fairly tidy now. I think i have done more house work tonight than i have done all week . Have about 4 hrs tomorrow on my own so i should get it all looking fairly good!

tortoise · 02/11/2007 21:46

Also meant to say i will be keeping an eye out for a wii. I get Child benifit 4 weekly and that will be in about a week and a half so i will be hopefully spending that on the wii.

SmellyMurkySky · 02/11/2007 21:48

DD3 is in 6-9 or 9-12m ATM. Depends a bit on hte brand. MOre 9-12m in most brands apart from Tessco I would say.

Would be looking for daytime clothes rather than sleepsuits as we still have loads and loads and loads of them from DTDs!!!

tortoise · 02/11/2007 21:51

When i sort through the rest i will keep an eye out for you. I think most of the girls stuff was sold to my friend but i kept the nicer stuff to Ebay .

SmellyMurkySky · 02/11/2007 21:58

No hurry. Will have a browse. TBH she probably has plenty of clothes to get her to XMas, but I suspect with the amount she is eating at the mo we will be looking at more 9-12m and poss 12-18m (whoo hoo, she is already 18m and might break the 12m+ clothes!!!!) by XMas/early Jan. Or at least I bloody hope so.
