for SMS. I'm not doing brilliantly atm du to the amount of work going on in the house. At least dp is cleaning up after himself.

I'll be offline all day again (reiring the whole house) so everyone has to get their routines written out/printed up today, and report back tomorrow.

Gibberish I always read late night messages.....did you say something about getting a dog recently?

OP posts:
ludaghoul · 01/11/2007 07:45

Hi all

jas hope the rewiring goes ok today.

I was just re reading yesterday's thread.....Bianca how horrid! Poor DD I hope she is ok this morning. ...all your hard work too!

We had a halloween supper with friends, then we all went trick or treating....spent rather too long out because we trick or treated the two pubs too!!! DH stayed at home to hand out treats to all the little horros...we had loads!! The kids did very well too...except looking around this morning, I think they ate most of it last night!!

I had 4 glasses of wine....and spent all evening dancing to "Thriller" and "Ghost Town", much to all the children's amusement.

We all got given glow sticks too....very cool....I shall remember that for next year.

Well...2 things I am truly grateful for this morning... 1. My friend ...who had completely tidied everything up while I was swinging 5 small children round the living room! (she had even unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher...non of which I descovered until just now!) 2. The new toilet cistern blocks (which coincidently the same friend bought for me!) They are really good...whilst sat having toilet time this morning, with my fuzzy head, I was pleasently greeted by lots of bubbles and a lovely smell!!!

Well I had better get on...lots of washing to do and decorations to take down.

Mission

yaddayah · 01/11/2007 08:24

at thriller dancing .. hope you did the scary hands dance

Well we had the 5 groups before 6pm that was it.. all cute youngsters.. when we were driving back from parents evening at 8pm did see two large groups of teenagers with the ubiquitous (goodness thats a long word for me!) carrier bags but they bypassed us

We've got two pubs in our village.. luda you werne't the woman wearing a dodgy basque and red fishnets swaying across the zebra crossing on her way there were you .. she did give us a very drunken friendly wave

bianca sorry to hear your dd was upset TBH I put our pumpkin on the inside windowsill just in case and put the bins out this morning , sad but theres always some little sod who spoils the fun.

Well i'd better get on the school run, out this morning (pta again) so i'll report in later

Have a good day all .. and especially gibberish (my special mention !)

ludaghoul · 01/11/2007 08:40

LOL... It might well have been yadd...well actually I was wearing a huge Grotbags type hat with green feathers on it! and was singing "Trick or treat smell my feet" rather loudly

TheMadSparkleyHouse · 01/11/2007 09:00

Morning All

Bianca for what the little blitters did to your DD.

I am glad it is all over really DS1 hates it, he was really scared by the dressing up and the door going. He was still a bit jittery this morning - we had loads of visits.

Jas please can I have a star for my excel list ( any one who wants a copy just CAT me or let me know your email)

Thursdays are a busy day for me:

Up and dressed - DONE S&S - DONE Make Beds - DONE Empty Dishwasher - DONE Breakfast - DONE Wash Breakfast Pots Hang Out washing/washing in dryer - DONE Sort out lunchtime meal - DONE Nursery Shopping Hoover and Mop Floors downstiars Empty Bins

Update on friend - she has had scans, but needs an upright exray - so measured for a brace and hopefully will get aray today or tomorrow. Poss op on Tuesday - she is very down at the moment.

BiancaCastafiore · 01/11/2007 09:19

Thanks everyone, dd is OK this morning, just cross. It's quite a big lesson to be on the recieving end of (minor, but a big deal to her) crime.

Luda lol, I'd have liked to be a fly on the wall for your thriller dancing!

Jas hope the re-wire goes well, my dh is a sparky so I hear about such projects all the time.

TMSH Hope your friend gets good news soon x

SMS I really do find it's all in the routine, mine have almost become second nature now.

Yadda we usually put our pumpkin inside too but had a huge one this year which wouldn't balance on our windowsill. Dd says she's never carving a pumpkin again cos it'll remind her of the mean children who spoilt our old one (drama queen!)

My routines for today are~

morning ~empty and reload dishwasher ~pack lunches, fill water bottles ~s&s kitchen ~everyone up, washed and dressed ~s&s bathroom ~make beds ~sort washing, put first load on ~breakfast ~clean teeth, kids shoes on ~walk/cycle to school (long route home for me) ~mission

Afternoon ~collect ds ~lunch, eat, tidy away ~hang up wet washing ~what's for dinner ~collect dd ~wash lunchbox ~snack and drink, talk about school ~make supper, clear away as I go ~eat, clear away, wipe table ~homework ~bath kids, stories, kids to bed

evening ~put away dry washing ~tidy away shoes/toys etc ~run dw ~lay out clothes for tomorrow

and Thursday is~ ~Hoover and dust upstairs ~wash bedding, put clean sheets etc back on ~30 minute in room of my choice

BiancaCastafiore · 01/11/2007 10:32

SMS I've just realised what you may (or may not ) have said yesterday!

EHM Thinking about you and your appt later in the month, hope it goes well

I'm still thinking about the practicality of a third....

Well, all the beds are stipped and the wm is flat out. The kids beds are re-made already but we only have one set of bedding for my bed so it'll be a while before it's all washed and dried. I'll remake it before bedtime I promise!
Upstairs is hoovered, I've turned my matress and decided to move the bed and hoover underneath so that can be my 30mins decluttering for the day. I need to run a duster round my room still but then upstairs is acceptable again.

I could do with mopping the kitchen floor as dd spilt her blackcurrant squash last night and although I thought I'd managed to wipe it all up I noticed a large sticky patch this morning. It may need to wait till tomorrow though.

I want to fit in a long walk to school if i can on my way to collect ds.

ludaghoul · 01/11/2007 10:43

We are all up, bathed, dressed and fed.

All the decorations are down, and the kids are now getting excited about Bonfire Night!! They just don't stop do they!!

I will try and figure my photos out now

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 11:02

Ok...I think the photo's are all on there

BiancaCastafiore · 01/11/2007 11:09

They look great Luda Your 3 look very cute - dd2 is really growing up, she's changed since I last saw her.

My two are looking forward to bonfire night too - it's a village firework display on Saturday evening

I've got up stairs all tidy so am going to have a quick clear up downstairs before I collect ds. I think I'll try to tempt him to the playground this afternoon for some fresh air, it's a lovely day here.

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 11:22

Ah Ha! Glad they work! Thank you Bianca...and yes DD2 is getting big waayyy to quick! She is a little madam!

The firework display sounds great...our village doesn't have one..not sure why, because it would be very well attended.

We are considering going to a friends pub, he does a big bonfire and fireworks. Thats on Saturday evening too. We have bought our own fireworks though, to have in the garden. (just a few, and some sparklers) So we will see how the pennies are by the weekend!!

Right well, downstairs is tidy, just needs a vac. Upstairs needs mega attention though...must do the beds and hoover up there too.

gibberish · 01/11/2007 12:09

Good afternoon lovely people!

Yadda Thanks for the special message Not feeling sorry for myself today you'll be glad to hear! Must have been all the lovely messages. I know where to come when I'm feeling down.

Luda lol at 'toilet time' with bubbles!! Must look at your pics.. meant to do it before posting. And what a great friend - I'm sure you would do the same for her though.

Jas, the girls would love a dog and I wouldn't mind too much (if it was small) but dh will absolutely not have it. So guinea pigs (or pig as it is now ) it will have to be.

Bianca - what a nasty thing to happen. Your poor dd. Hope she (and you) can forget about it.

TMH - what is the excel list for?

gibberish · 01/11/2007 12:13

luda, your pics are fab! What a little crowd of cuties you have

Right, I am confused by the zones this week Why has zone 5 suddenly changed mid-week to zone 1? I've just done the detailed clean for zone 5 (lounge) but can't bear the thought of doing it for the dining room too! It's too much. One detailed clean a week is all I can manage.

gibberish · 01/11/2007 12:17

But I do need to do a detailed clean in the dining room and can't wait another 5 weeks before it is due to be done again.... aaarrrgh! FLYing is supposed to make my life easier, not harder! Wonder why she has done it this way...

yaddayah · 01/11/2007 12:41

gibberish assume change in zone is due to switch from October to November but I may be wrong

Back from sweeping leaves (!!) off the playground at ds's school .. i'm knackered !

still no washing machine so MIL has done another huge batch for me

Got rid of all of the dc's toddler sippy/two handled cups today.. felt very strane! But now have a very clean and clear drawer full of stuff they do use.

Off for a cup of tea. its got cold again and i'm babbling

yaddayah · 01/11/2007 12:44

strane . gah ! Strange

luda your pic's are fab .. gorgeous kids and very of your pumpkin carving skills !

madsparkly continued best wishes for your friend

BBL

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 12:50

Well I have changed sheets and duvets on Mine, Ds's and DD1's bed. Just stopping for a bit of lunch.

gibberish thanks and my friend is very good....I would do the same too (not that I need to...I sware she is Elizabeth (?)from the programme Bewitched. She tidies up in absolute record time...she seems to just swish her arms about and its done!)

No idea about zone changing...haven't looked yet!

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 12:52

yadd .... oooh noooo I'm not very good at all really...for pumpkin calving skills worthy of an check out bianca's pics

BiancaCastafiore · 01/11/2007 13:14

Luda thanks. We did cheat and use a template though

gibberish I'm not sure about these mid-week zone changes either I haven't even opened the mission link yet today...

yadda how long before you can do your own washing?

Ds and I walked home via the playground where he slid down concrete scateboard ramps so much I'm sure he'll have made a hole in his school trousers - it did look fun though so I felt mean to tell him to stop
That's our outside play done for now although we may have another longer walk on our way to collect dd from her after school club. It's clouded over and gone cold now though

Better make the boy some lunch, back later x

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 13:32

Lunch all eaten...back to changing beds...and hoovering...and tidying...and dusting....

and blah...and blahdeblah.....

ScaryMonsterStories · 01/11/2007 13:33

Morning all (well afternoon I suppose ).
Am going to post this and then get swimming kits ready and then do my spreadsheet before I lift a finger. I think that is more important (long term) than clearing the recycloing.

Jas TY for thread. Feels like a FLYbaby thread with a title like that

Bianca for your DD. Some teenagers petrified DTDs & their friends last year at the door and then when friends walked home they were v v v close to tripping up on a trip wire someone had set across the path . I hate hate hate halloween - and DTDs always will too because of that, I hope it doesn't have the same effect on your DD. This year we had tea and then I went for an early bath and took everyone upstairs. When I had a bath I pottered about upstairs until DP got home (hence the reason my bathroom got a S&S ). I have a mild phobia of answering door/telephone to strangers at the best of times.

TMSH I have missed something about your friend - but I take it she needs some positive/get well sooon vibes.

Luda I hope you are not suffering too much this morning. How dare you get frazzled mid-week .

gibberish I will come and play with you in teh evenings. I rarely get here until gone 9 (except Thurs/Fri afernoons).

Right. Must go and sort out my spreadsheet .

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 13:36

Oh...yadd I can't bring myself to get rid of toddler cups...apart from the fact I still have a toddler...I really do tend to hoard plastic! I love plastic cups and plates and the likes. I have lost count of the amount of beakers my lot have lost/broken/worn out/made the non-drip spout, drip! I have to say though my cupboards really could do with a cull.

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 13:39

SMS I'm not too bad at all considering (actually I didn't drink that much..but I'm an absolute lightweight! Every time I drink wine I wish I hadn't)

ScaryMonsterStories · 01/11/2007 14:06

gibberish · 01/11/2007 14:09

Okay sms I'll hold you to that!

And what is it with the spreadsheets? Have I missed something?

If it's lists of chores I'm way ahead - my control journal is up and running Even got lists for the girls for morning night and once monthly detailed cleaning of their rooms!

So today I have detailed cleaned the lounge including moving all the furniture and hoovering, cleaning all the skirting boards/doorframes/winsows etc and cleaning down the sides of the couches - urgh...

Have detailed cleaned the downstairs hallway, the utility room and the downstairs bathroom. Done all the doors, frames, skirting boards and the front door. Well and truly knackered now. Have decided to do the dining room tomorrow to keep on track...

Off to finish the washing and retidy the dining room Why is it when you are working on one area of the house, the other half seems to turn itself into a tip although you left it tidy??
