Jas · 01/11/2007 07:09

for SMS. I'm not doing brilliantly atm du to the amount of work going on in the house. At least dp is cleaning up after himself.

I'll be offline all day again (reiring the whole house) so everyone has to get their routines written out/printed up today, and report back tomorrow.

Gibberish I always read late night messages.....did you say something about getting a dog recently?

OP posts:
ScaryMonsterStories · 01/11/2007 14:13

gibberish - yes it is the list of chores. I asked someone to make sure I did mine today so Jas is making everyone do it .

Also you will see in my plan that although I will try and do some missions I want to try and balance out the rooms so I do a little routine stuff in each room each day - hopefully avoiding one half of the house collapsing whilst I underpin the other side. We will have to see how it works though...

gibberish · 01/11/2007 14:48

I follow the FLYing morning and evening routines, slightly adapted for myself and slightly different for the two days I work.

I have morning and evening routines for the girls too and a detailed monthly cleaning list for their rooms which they follow. These are all in polypockets so they can mark them off with a felt tip and wipe them off for using again.

I have all of my daily and weekly lists in my control binder, split into the 5 zone weeks so I know what I am doing every day.

Don't know where I would be without these routines!

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 14:55

Hoorah! Upstairs is done! Beds all made, floors all hoovered, rooms all neat and tidy and finally just dusted.
Bathroom is looking ok...I did it just the day before yesterday.

I have no idea what zone we are in...or what the mission is...will check it out now

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 14:58

Ahhh.....I see what Kelly has done regarding the zones...

We were in Zone 5, for just 3 days and she has filled the last two days with zone 1....I don't think there is enought to do in zone 1 to warrant a week so she has put zones 1 and 5 in the same week.

I expect next week there will be another zone which fills the week?

gibberish · 01/11/2007 15:16

You haven't seen my diningroom luda It's where the girls do their work. I definitely need a week for it Never mind, will tackle it tomorrow.

gibberish · 01/11/2007 15:17

BTW Zone 2 is the kitchen. I actually haven't got much atall to do in there - might just roll over the dining room to next week.

ludaloo · 01/11/2007 16:39

Gosh..I have just been completely and utterly sidetracked by my downstairs understair cupboard! Pulled the whole lot out and sorted it and rehomed a lot of it. It took me ages...and then my neighbour popped in to find me trapped behind a heap of crap...so she helped me put stuff in the shed!

off to make supper...

BiancaCastafiore · 01/11/2007 17:44

Kids supper is over and I'm just running them a bath.
The lady who takes dds after-school activity commented on how dd still had her face painted from trick-or-treating last night and I had to explain that the dark circles under her eyes were real Poor girl looks very tired this evening so I hoping to get her and ds into bed early.

I still need to finish making up my bed, I did make a start but got side-tracked having a pillow fight with ds

Ruby, how about these? You can stack them in your garage or somewhere secure.

yaddayah · 01/11/2007 18:12

Gawd is it still only 6pm ???

Feels like midnight

Am off to attempt dc's bed/bath

ps tescos don't sell celeriac

gah!

gibberish · 01/11/2007 18:15

I know, it's so flippin' dark

Just put dd3 to bed - she's crying with a sore tummy. Think I'm going to have to take her to the doctor as she's had this a lot lately...

Finished dinner. Made lovely a lovely hot curry - enough for 4 meals so will freeze the rest. Off to stack dishwasher, stick last load of washing in the dryer and PUT MY FEET UP!

Although I should be doing some exercise - have put about a stone on over the last few months

yaddayah · 01/11/2007 18:29

gibberish i'll join in with the starjumps I've put on a stone since the summer holidays (ruefully remembers the wine soaked "playdates" and bbq's)

Currently drinking green tea by way of diversion therapy !

Hope your dd is better soon

My dc's have decided to play the cute card as they've realised bedtime is looming and are currently hugging each other and saying "oh thank you mini yadd you're so kind like they're at a pre war country house do.

yaddayah · 01/11/2007 18:30

God what a day, I feel like I have run a maratheon.

Building work is still going on outside (work to the drains) so the garden is a mud pit. White cat is black

DS1 is in a foul mood, he sreamed because we could not park the car in the same place as normal due to the skip on the drive.

DH got suck in a traffic jam, as there had been an acccident and has only just got in, so is ready bedtime storys to the boys. I had to bath them on my own.

Most of the flying has been done and I am going to have a long soak in the bath tonight. I am off out for the day tomorrow meeting an old girl friend.

Update on ill friend. Her back brace has been fitted and she is going to have her x-ray tomorrow. If the brake in her T12 is alighned with just the brace she will be OK, if not they will operate on Tuesday to line it up and put scaffolding around it.

Ruby When you find the paperwork solution, please let me know, as we have no office in this house.

Gibberish please can you post me some curry - yummmmmmm

Luda please can you post me some energy and your children are lovley

I have all my fly lady stuff on an excel SS - as I am sad

gibberish · 01/11/2007 19:23

lol at your children yadda

You and tmh are welcome to some curry - it's currently jamming up my freezer! I'm making a double portion of spaghetti bolognese tomorrow but there isn't going to be any room to freeze the second portion. Haven't thought this through very well this week

Got people for dinner on Saturday. Going to making a chicken and apricot casserole with almond rice. Is very yummy. I'll save some for you

ScaryMonsterStories · 01/11/2007 21:16

giberish do you want to come and play marbles with me?

Can you bring some delish curry? Or maybe just the recipe.

I feel a bit better now I have a routine on paper, even if I make an effort to do half the list the rest does seem to slot into place & I feel 'proud' of where I live so make an effort to do more IYSWIM.

I think that half term + poorly children + broken shower + busy weekend got in the way
