I've fallen in love with my Eufy RoboVac

Bought him on Sunday, opened him on Monday. He's been working ever since! I have never felt such passion for a gadget before. I love him. I've yet to name him. He was a whizz in the bedroom today!!
My only criticism is that he doesn't do stairs, and could do with something in top of him to do the tops of skirting boards, but other than that, our floors have never been cleaner!!

Yes! Wonderful aren't they? I love mine too - and 3 of my friends have been inspired to buy their own - wish I was on commission!

Whatnametomorrow10 · 27/06/2020 17:11

Mine arrived on Tuesday- love it !

wonkytonkwoman · 27/06/2020 17:12

But what about chair legs etc? I don't get the love. Tell me!

ponygirlcurtis · 27/06/2020 17:18

My Eufy is called Bob. I love Bob. Bob gets under the sofas and even gets DS2's horrible old unvacuumable carpet clean. It's become a verb in our house - 'I am going to Bob the living room now' and most often 'Don't you dare drop crumbs, I have just Bobbed the kitchen'. Grin

Bazookapie · 27/06/2020 17:30

Ours is called Robbie and I love him very much. He is out and about every day, we have a constantly shedding dog and he has saved me so much time over the 18 months we’ve had him and the floors have never been so clean.

hiredandsqueak · 27/06/2020 17:56

I have a Neato Botvac and love it more than anything else in the house. Mine is called Jack, after my son, because it amuses me when the app on my phone shows Jack is ready to clean as the real Jack is never ready to clean Grin I start Jack up as I leave to walk the dog every morning and I love coming back to a job already done.

livingthegoodlife · 01/07/2020 17:28

We have one too called Effie. She's excellent! She weaves in and out of chairs perfectly. She even gets under low tables where I never vacuum. But she does like to hump the hearth and the pedestal of the kitchen table.

lunar1 · 01/07/2020 17:31

If I had to choose between my eufy and my friends, the vac would beat 99% of them. Mine vacs and mops at midnight!

Addler · 01/07/2020 17:33

Mine's got googly eyes on him and I talk to him like he's my pet. He's a bit dim sometimes though, and can take 20 minutes to find where his home is. Sometimes he goes in a room and shuts the door on himself and can't get out.

alwaysinpjs · 01/07/2020 17:36

I've looked at these but have a big shedding dog. How much dust / dirt / hair do they hold before they need emptying? They like teeny compared to my Shark!

Aquamarine1029 · 01/07/2020 17:38

I adore my Eufy. We've named her Bertha and she's amazing. We got her over a year ago and I'll never be without a Bertha again!

hippoherostandinghere · 01/07/2020 17:41

What's the suction like on these? As good as a regular hoover? And are they good for carpets? What stops them falling down the stairs? Would love one!

hippoherostandinghere · 01/07/2020 17:41

Sorry, that was a lot of questions!

Moltenpink · 01/07/2020 17:43

Which model did you get? I really want one.

MotherAbigail · 01/07/2020 17:44

We have wooden floors downstairs and two big dogs. Our robohoover is called Barry and is very bossy and efficient. We use him in most rooms every day and he picks up really well. I love Barry he saves me work, big dogs try and kill him so need to keep them away. Poor Barry Smile

Queenoftheashes · 01/07/2020 17:47

Ok it sounds like I need one of these.

How does it work? Does it just roll around randomly? How does it therefore get all over the place? You all sound very pleased with it so I’m sorely tempted...

flowerstar19 · 01/07/2020 18:24

@lunarpea wow, mops and vacuums? Is it easy to switch between? Which model please? Having read this thread I really think one of these could be life changing!!

Murinae · 01/07/2020 18:30

I love my Eufy too. I have the 30C I think. Got it in the Black Friday sale

Lovetoridemybicycle · 01/07/2020 18:33

My Eufy is called Bob too! Love him to bits

UncleShady · 01/07/2020 18:39

Ours is called Jeff and at the moment he has a death wish and is forever barging through the pile of shoes at the back door and into the garden. I'm surprised how many commands Alexa understands - tell Jeff to go home, for example.

Allsloppy · 01/07/2020 19:26

I have a deetbot named Barry. He goes round early in the morning doing his doings but does like to bang on the doors and wake me up. He makes me feel all calm inside picking up the bits left by kids, dogs and men. I also have a robomop named Lucas he goes round shouting “blue army” when he squirts the water. He is a little cutie. Not named any other household products though Grin

Queenoftheashes · 03/07/2020 14:10

Following this thread Dustin has arrived and is charging for his first go round the flat. Excited!

birdling · 04/07/2020 17:50

Ours is called Guffy, and he is treated like a pet Grin

castieldeansam · 06/07/2020 10:46

@Queenoftheashes we've named ours Dustin too😆
@lunar1 I've just seen some mop, I am rather jealous, but one step at a time!
@Moltenpink mine is a eufy 15C max.

I've just set him a schedule for the week.

Another fun thing to do is turn him on when you aren't at home, freaked my kids out 😂

@castieldeansam hilarious! I was going to use Dusty but realised I needed a male maid so as not to perpetuate the stereotype of the female domestic servant! I also quite like Robocop.
