Morning Guys.

I was awol yesterday as DD2 has another cold. And now has cough too.

I like babysteps day 28 and it cvame at the right time as I couldnt possibley add anything new today.

I now have morning, afternoon and evening routines so just need to keep looking at them and doing them

I know we talked about going on the main FLY thread. Jas - do you think we can get it more 'FLY' oriented? I'm a bit worried that without the 'babysteps' focus that I might fall off the wagon again and I dont want that to happan.

Sorry if anyone has any significant news but I havent caught up.

Btw, BP - saw your comments on new fly person thread and very glad I brought you back into the fold

FunkyGlassSlipper · 21/09/2007 08:00

Good morning....will be back when the drugs make me feel semi-human....

BabyPowder I think the bed opposite me is empty...but I warn you my bed is incredibly squeaky and every time I move I wake up the whole ward .

I am happy with todays mission...my bathroom is carpeted so doesn't need mopping

winemakesmummyclever · 21/09/2007 08:50

Morning,

Hope people are feeling a wee bit better today.

FGS - my sympathies re dd2's cough & cold. I think ds is starting with a cold too. I'm trying to decide whether to take him to music group thingy or not. Apparently, we've had a severe weather warning for Manchester, so we might just stay snuggled up inside today. Ho hum...

Morning routine done, so I've got a bit time for another cup of tea and MN. Babysteps are working so well for me that I have had no washing to do for the last two days. Am going to rearrange drawers upstairs later. I took 6 bags of clothes to the charity shop last week, but still don't have enough storage .

Glad that other people are feeling the benefit too .

TheMadHouse · 21/09/2007 09:26

Jas · 21/09/2007 12:03

I did all my morning routine this morning, and will get cracking on the afternoon bit now I am back from toddler group. I was hoping we could bring the regular FLYthread back to proper FLY routines by just talking about it and doing it ourselves. BigBeeristheBigBeer · 21/09/2007 12:20

So many poorly people on this thread! That hospital must be getting seriously overcrowded. At least it won't be harbouring MRSA. Get well soon everyone! Hope it's not catching...

Had a fab time at Prince. I so would (but he wouldn't!!). He's soooooooooo sexy.

.

alycat · 21/09/2007 12:26

Ok so I have caught up on reading the Babysteps (but not all the chat, sadly) afer my DD/my trip to the Fly hospital.

Need some advice/explaination as I seem to be confused now [pretty please emotion]

So when the babysteps are over (day 31 is it?) are we joining the main FLY thread?? I'm with FGS on the needing Babysteps to preven falling off wagon (although extended illnes and accidents did it for me, well off the wagon I'm afraid)

Would someone PLEASE list where we are on the morning, afternoon and evening routines??
I know it's a pita, but I'm beeing needy and useless.

Morning

  1. Get up and weight
  2. Get dressed to the shoes, fix your face...

etc

I've spent so much time catching up, that I'm not getting any stuff done.

Today I have done a 15minute crisis clean up (or whatever it's real name is) on Kitchen, Hall and sitting room - I'm just having my 15 minute break before I go and collect DS from nursery.

Sink is shiny,
loaded DW
loaded WM/hung out washing
got dressed to the shoes (not in this order obviously)
painted 2nd coat on new hall bench/storage (the FLYzone of the Hall/entrance made me realise I needed different storage to make it tidy - no wonder the kids dumped everything on the floor they couldn't reach the pegs)

Although I am not FLYing at all well, I am trying - I cannot do it when my DS is home (I have to admit that I was cleaning the kitchen when he cracked his head open last week )so it is limiting my time somewhat. It has helped me start to 'love my home' again, hence the new hall furniture amd even considering a lick of paint for entrance.

Thanks for the support you FLYers.

SlightlyMadSweden · 21/09/2007 12:28

I jolly well hope I don't get MRSA at teh FLY hosp....wh is the propriter, who would I sue? Jas?

Well I am struggling to perk up today. Walked to the butchers to sort tea (a la yesterdays babystep) and felt so rubbish wasn't sure I was going to make it home. I have the school run to do at 3 and that is 3 times as far and uphill . I must go and pop some more pills I think....

I am glad you enjoyed Prince, not sure it is for me though.

Jas - I am just trying to decided what I want from teh very limited replacements catelogue from Mattel, mine arrived this morning and I am uninspired.

ludaloo · 21/09/2007 12:34

@ bigbeer can't say Prince is my cup of tea either....Johnny Depp....on the other hand...

BigBeeristheBigBeer · 21/09/2007 12:59

BigBeeristheBigBeer · 21/09/2007 13:03

Alycat, the morning, afternoon and evening routines are individually tailored to suit each person, but there are massive areas of overlap, of course.

I should just nick someone's list and have a look at other people's to work out what suits you best.

I've started printing mine off each morning and going round with a pen ticking stuff off .

Mine is:

  1. Get me and girls washed and dressed incl. DD1's hair and my make-up
  2. Breakfasts and clear away and drink water
  3. Load and unload DW
  4. Shine sink, wash up and sterilize bottles
  5. Sweep kitchen/dining room and wipe surfaces
  6. Start WM
  7. Make beds
  8. Change/empty cat litter
  9. Decide what's for dinner
  10. Take DD1 to nursery or girls out

Afternoon routine

  1. Make lunch and clear up and drink water
  2. Kelly's Mission
  3. 15 mins decluttering
  4. 2 min hotspot *2
  5. Errands
  6. DD2's physio
  7. 15 mins cleaning somewhere (includes changing sheets etc.)
  8. Hang up wet washing/put away dry
  9. Collect DD1 from nursery or take DDs out

Evening routine

  1. Tea for DDs
  2. Bath DDs and put them to bed
  3. Swish and swipe
  4. Tidy toys
  5. Put out clothes for next day
  6. Pilates or exercise (this one is not getting done!!)
  7. Load DW/clear up/feed cat and drink water
  8. Admin job (eg write a will, open child trust fund account!!)
  9. Read my book

10 2 min hotspot
11 15 min declutter
12 mission

15 Wipe table/highchair
16 DD1 homework/tables
17 DD2 homework/reading/spelling

21 School bags

SMS - I agree the list was fairly limited. There was nothing for the dds that I wanted, so I'm glad I have ds to buy for too.

DS is not sleeping (again), so I'm not getting much of my afternoon list done. I've managed the mission, and hanging out the washing I put on this morning.

BigBeeristheBigBeer · 21/09/2007 16:51

I never cook properly. How do you fit in cooking with the daily jobs? I'd love to rustle up a fish pie here, a lasagne there... Am in awe of those who can cook.
