without waking the entire household by flushing 20 times.......DS1 has just got up and done a massive (stinky) shit - he flushed -but only half of it is gone.....the other half is looking pretty stubborn and I really don't want to wake everyone up

PMSL. Leave and flush in morning?

TheQueenOfQuotes · 21/09/2007 01:17

it really honks though and DH is bound to ask why I didn't get rid of it....I suppose I could say that DS1 flushed and told me it had gone - and I didn't think to check?????

Try flushing again...

Just get your hand down there and fire it round the bend then flush again. It won't bite!

TheQueenOfQuotes · 21/09/2007 01:26

oh it's definitely not a floater - FAR too big for that (if I didn't know for fact that DS1 (7yrs) had done it I would have thought it was DH's ).

I've squirted lots of airfreshner in there, shut the door and am leaving it (our main toilet/bathroom is downstairs thankfully)

LOL Mears....

QOQ - get your DS to sort his own turds

hellish · 21/09/2007 03:22

Get a knife. or stick from the garden (or chopstick?) and chop it into smaller peices, one flush and it'll be gone

mamama · 21/09/2007 05:58
Grin
PrettyCandles · 21/09/2007 06:08

If you're too squeamish to chop it up, pour a generous amount of bleach on it and leave for several hours. It should dissolve, or at least soften, and become flushable.

I've heard that bio laundry soap works too, but I've never tried it myself.

Certain individuals are banned from pooing in the downstairs loo, here, for that same reason!

Theresa · 21/09/2007 06:09

My ds aged 5 is quite capable of producing these (we call the Bertie Bendblockers!) Rubber gloves and break it up, then chuck out the gloves!

Budababe · 21/09/2007 06:33

Only on MN would you awaken to a thread like this!

And QOQ - stop blaming your poor DS - bet it was you!!!

yuk lol Steaming poo!

iota · 21/09/2007 09:57

agree with PrettyCandles - use bleach - painless and effective

Mercy · 21/09/2007 09:58

Has it gone yet?

coppertop · 21/09/2007 09:58

at this thread!

goingfor3 · 21/09/2007 10:14

This is so funny!

mishymoo · 21/09/2007 10:17

brilliant way to start the day... with this thread!!

So what is the outcome.. has it gone? Or is it still lurking...eeeewwww!

TheQueenOfQuotes · 21/09/2007 11:15

Oh it's gone now - I gave it another flush and a bit more went down.....then shut the door (after spraying far too much airfreshner and thus doing massive damage to the enviroment ) and left it (it was gone 1am......).

DH got rid of it early this morning.

DS1 knows he's only supposed to sh*t in the downstairs (main) bathroom as the "bend" in the upstairs one just can't cope with his turds.....

And Budababe - I'd have a heartattack I think if I managed to produce turds that big

yay ! this has reminded me on a story my cousin tells about his doing a massive crap in the house of some client ( he designs kitchens) and finding that the water was off and he couldn't get rid of it

mishymoo · 21/09/2007 11:36

LOL

lilibet · 21/09/2007 11:38

I fear these injunctions to basicaly BOIL the poo. Wont' that result in haggis in your toilet?
