Today's mission

Kelly should do one just for me that says 'Today's hotspot is your house'

I won't be around for the next few days. It's DH's 40th tomorrow and he's taking a long weekend. I'll pop back when I can but I thought I'd make myself useful and start the thread.

So I hope you all have a good few days, that sick los get well soon and you have great weekends

Off to ice a chocolate fudge cake xxx

jas Yep, realise now what a huge monumental error it was

Never again though! Getting my bathroom fitted properly!

Jas · 25/07/2007 20:40

I spent 20 mins typing and going back and forth and missed the exciting news. I hope all goes well for your sister gibberish

Jas · 25/07/2007 20:41

Mine started building a shed when we moved in. He finished the base for dd1s 4th birthday, and I now have three complete sides lying on it, and a pile of wood. DD1 is 8

Evening all, glad too see so many of you still at it, I am making a long overdue return to flying. I am trying to re-establish the habits and clear the clutter but a long way to go. I will return to serious flying once kids back at school but I will still try honest .

LOL my house is also one great big hotspot, no defined borders between any one hotspot and the next it all sort of merges from surface to floor to the next room.

Your list are shaming me you lot .

Mine is more..

But local paper, read paper, put on a load, dry a load, make dinner eat dinner clear up after dinner etc
All a bit basic , still I may venture into the wolrd of dusting next week.

gibberish · 25/07/2007 20:46

Thanks jas. I'm so excited/nervous/excited for her iykwim.

I think your dh must be some close relation to mine... dh started painting a small area of woodwork underneath the kitchen window (outside) when we moved in. He did one coat and never got around to the second coat. It looks awful - completely streaky. That was 7 years ago

gibberish · 25/07/2007 20:46

And I STILL trusted him to build me a kitchen

gibberish · 25/07/2007 20:48

Hi skribble lol at your house being one great hotspot Those days are over now though!

FunkyGlassSlipper · 25/07/2007 20:48

Hey Skribble, Nice to see you back

Jas · 25/07/2007 20:50

Hi skribble Welcome back. Things seem to be falling apart here a bit too, and the kids have been off less than a week.

shouldbe · 25/07/2007 20:53

Have been meaning to say FGS love the new name
gibberish good luck to your sister, keep us posted
yadda our first sunflower has just started to open out today too They are only about 4/5 ft tall so not great but there are 4 sharing a flowerpot so they've not done too badly.
Aufish good luck with the job application
tort happy birthday to dd2
Sorry if I've forgotten anyone...

My afternoon got worse I was busy sitting doing nothing much on the computer and merrily thinking the kids bath was ready and waiting...unknown to me I hadn't put the plug in fully so the nice extra deep warm bath I'd run for the kids slowly drained away until I finally called them to come and get undressed only to find a virtually empty bath [sigh] They had to tolerate a shallow lukewarm bath instead...not impressed!
Dd has spend a lot of time crying with exhaustion and emotion this evening over how much she loved her teacher and how she'll miss her now she's moving into the next class. Poor dd, she gets very emotionally attached to teachers, it's hard for her to move class. She likes her new teacher very much so I hope this'll pass quickly once she settles back into school in Sept.

I'm tired (as always) so will probably have a bath and go to bed soon.
See you all tomorrow (if the kids will let me on the computer!) x

gibberish · 25/07/2007 21:03

Thanks shouldbe Will keep you posted as soon as I hear what's happening. What a day you have had! Hopefully tomorrow will be better

Off to work tomorrow, so will be back FLYing on Saturday. Will post tomorrow about my sis though. Have a good few days everyone!

ludaloo · 25/07/2007 21:32

Just a quick visit to be a bit pleased with myself I put a shelf and a toilet roll holder up in the downstairs loo this evening!!! Used a drill and everything

grouchyoscar · 25/07/2007 21:59

What a day

After my last post I made brunch for me and Ed and take him to the afternoon at the local play gym. After 2 hrs of play we walked up to the train station to see the diesel trains. Then he asks to have a ride on one. He wanted to go to The main line station but as rush hour was approaching I suggested we went the other way. Then we came back and got the bus home. Half hour at home, tidy the cake away (glorious icing btw) and off to do the family shop at Tesco. home, put it away, make bed, put Ed to bed.

Phew

Happy Birthday to Tort's DD

Love to all
