Good morning Jas and Shouldbe not doing a lot today as I'm off to drop my kids off for their first unsupervised visit with their father. Can see me just sitting around worrying for 4 hours, I just need to relax and spend the time on here.

Dc's have been playing picnic's since 7am so I left them to it

Yesterday I realised I hadn't done a white wash all week so ds didn't have a clean polo shirt for school (luckily it was sports day so I dressed him in a red one for his p.e kit)

White wash is now on

~ up at 8.03am (first one up - the joys of teens/nearly teen kids. Well, there has to be 1 plus, doesn't there?!) as the lad next door knocked in order to ask about football (Grrr why didn't he ask last night when I saw him at his house?) and our dog barked. He'd gone by the time I'd got to the door and came back later.
~ d/w on
~ cereal cupboard sorted
~ w/m on
~ some t/d done
~ clothes on to airer
~ recycling sorted and put outside
~ some work done on au pair stuff
~ some e-mails written

To do:-
~ post stuff back to Boden if the return bag arrives (box arrived duffed up so I can't use that)
~ write several b/d cards and wrap a present
~ more washing to do incl some waterproof clothing that needs a wash
~ sew up waterproof coat hood where it has come apart
~ plant these blooming indoor lilies I've had for months (was going to give them as a good bye gift to cleaner but gave a bottle of wine instead)
~ get ds to make a banana cake
~ put all outgrown girls clothes in one big box
~ far too much ironing. Will try to be ruthless and just do the must-dos
~ I don't know what else. Still not showered and dressed yet! That first.

Hi Glass. Dh being away for a week is tough. My dh has a number of times and it means that it's all down to you which is quite a responsibility.

Done list (updated each time):-
~ chivvied dd and friend into a snack and drink
~ put dd and friend to work putting all outgrown girls clothes into one box
~ put a load on the line
~ showered and dressed. Can't stand these jeans I'm wearing. Am in a sort out mood so might fill a few charity shop bags with clothes if the mood continues.

Will MN a mo whilst drinking my cup of tea. T'pip!

I have been busy all morning...I had a lie in then I had to go to our local Morrisons...we have been raising money for our village schools (the primary and the nursery) It was a bag packing event. I really didn't fancy it, but it went ok I hope we have managed to raise a good amount. We were taking it in 2 hour shifts.

Kids are busy making a "den" and I have to catch up with the washing.

Hi all, am just now sitting down, contact went well, my partner and I decided to fix our broken fence and treat it, which has taken us all day which also made me think about something else. Thanks for all your thoughts today, it made the difference!

Hi aufish Glad it went well today. Keeping busy sounds like a good plan. Think of all those extra jobs you'll get done.
I haven't done much today. DP has been working in the garden which involves making a mess over the entire downstairs

I did go through all the school uniform with the dds and sort out all the too-small stuff. I don't think I'll need to buy much for September no I've got it sorted out.

Anyone want grey pinafores, and blue or yellow summer school dresses ffp before I give them away?

Friends been and gone. Was fun for the little time they were here. Shame it wasn't for longer but they are all off out to pubs/clubs. Im the only one with kids so bit of the odd one out!
