What's the worst thing you ever spilled?

Just spilled a huge bottle of calamine lotion over everything. It tippled and toppled and fell and bounced and fell again.
There's calamine lotion over me, the tiles, the ceiling, cooker, worktops, floor, and worst of all my lovely red velvety big armchair.

you shouldn't carry paint pots and hop at the same time, ll!

MrsWednesday · 21/06/2007 11:51

Oh yes, I've done the paint thing too - carrying a full tin upstairs in a carrier bag, the handles snapped and the paint (white gloss) splashed all the way down the stairs and into the front room.

brightwell · 21/06/2007 11:51

Milk, in the back of the car and didn't realise until I could smell vomit, a week or so later.

northstar · 21/06/2007 11:52

at all of these.

WaynettaSlob · 21/06/2007 11:59

Not so much a spillage as a flooding.....and look away now if you're squeamish.........
There was a blockage in the wastepipe (bath and toilets) that was fed from my basement flat and the upstairs maisonette....We weren't aware of the blockage until the bloke upstairs emptied his bath.....water ran down, hit the blockage, and had nowhere to go so backed up the pipe into the first outlets it could find, which were my toilet and bath...........there were a few days worth of, ahem, "waste" which kindly started flooding my flat...it was VILE!
the only consolation was that the toilet seat was down, so all the floaters were contained within, so I only had to deal with watery shite.

Needless to say I no longer live there!!!

Ds1 aged 4 picked up a 2.5 litre tin of emulsion in our newly carpeted hallway and dropped it.

Would the lid stay on, would it heck

I've still not forgiven him and he's almost 28 now.

northstar · 21/06/2007 12:00

My mum years ago dropped a whole can of gloss paint while getting off the bus, you can still partially see the remnants on the road

Cammelia · 21/06/2007 12:04

the beans

CountessDracula · 21/06/2007 12:05

a friend of mine spilled a whole tin of blue gloss paint into a laundry basked full of his clean work shirts and suit

northstar · 21/06/2007 12:06

Cammelia - did you make a mess

mumto3girls · 21/06/2007 12:06

3 litres of blue paint out of the loft...bounced on the ladder and burst on landing going all over me, our bedroom, the bathroom and the landing and stairs...

yaddayah · 21/06/2007 12:07

thinking back not spillage but my dh thought it would be a good idea to rinse the hammerite dark blue paint brushes out in the newly installed shower

He then had to buy and fit a new shower tray..

Cammelia · 21/06/2007 12:08

certainly did northstar

MrsBadger · 21/06/2007 12:08

not as bad to clean up as paint, but a whole lot more impressive - in one of the microbiology labs I worked in someone dropped a glass pint bottle of blood - up the walls, the cupboards, our white coats...
like something out of a Tarantino movie.

Blu · 21/06/2007 12:13

In answering this I realise I have been a one woman-disaster zone and should NOT be left in charge of an oil tanker!

A pan of borscht all over a white table cloth and several guests dressed in light smart clothing.
Tripped carrying a plate of spag bol and catapulted it all over my bed
A huge potted plant into the bath, when not, ahem, in the bath alone....it immediately turned into a mudbath
A huge can of dark blue gloss paint all over the cab of a brand new van which had been loaned as help-in-kind to a project I was working on.
DS spilt a whole packet of ground coffee into the bowl his tadpoles were in

mumto3girls · 21/06/2007 12:18

rofl at blu

TigerFeetFormerlyCheesyFeet · 21/06/2007 12:22

That happened in a micro lab I worked in too MrsB...
