Right, first things first...

Installs beach
Installs comfy seats, and parasols, and hammocks, and blankies
Installs the bar
Installs a giant fire pit

Yep, Naughty corner bar is up and running. Flying? yeah ok perhaps you should consider it. But the Fly lady is keen on looking after yourself so this counts. Totally counts as flying.

foxessocks · 27/08/2018 17:01

I've done so much decluttering today!phew.

Ta da
Decluttered all electrical stuff, chucked endless random cables
Decluttered all the computer desk and dusted the whole lot
Decluttered all the wrapping paper, gift bags etc
Decluttered kitchen junk drawer
Have chucked loads of stuff out, bag for charity shop, loads of stuff to go to the recycling centre unfortunately all piled up everywhere as no time to go today

The house feels lighter but still a long way to go. I'm going to focus on the kitchen next I think.

Dh finished painting the outside of the house today, it looks lovely!

Bowerbird5 · 27/08/2018 18:20

Ah just what I need.
Go away for two nights and you chatty lot have a new thread!

Been down at Wreak 1&2.
Ta Da
cleaned new kitchen down there.
Sorted all the kitchen things into four. Wreak 1, wreak 2, charity shop, bin. Pinching your names SCbecause they are both in wreak mode down there. ! has en suites started but not anywhere near complete. Central heating boilers in but not connected up yet. Dust everywhere, most windows painted, more dust. Wreak 2 has radiators in, kitchen still not in yet due to problem with something. Plastered downstairs and undercoat on this weekend. I've been cooking whilst sorting the kitchen.

The kitchen they have put in is the cheaper one of my choices.I have made up my mind and I am going to work harder, scrimp more and maybe not retire for 3 years because I want the more expensive kitchen. It isn't as nice as I thought it would look so at least I have made my mind up about that. Just cooker and worktop to chose now. Off to read all your messages. need to empty the car whilst it has stopped raining. Cat pleased to see me.

Stilllivinginazoo · 27/08/2018 18:36

SassitudeandSparkle · 28/08/2018 10:44

foxes love the custom organiser! Fabulous work.

I have found you. One week until DD starts at new school. Must make it count.

We finally found a way of hanging a very large poster that we bought DD a long time ago - she is thrilled. Trying to get her bedroom a bit more set up for secondary school or to be more exact, all the books she'll have to store but I think she's finding it hard to visualise. Give it a few weeks when she's got loads of stuff from school to store and it may be easier Grin

Better do some laundry today, menu planning, pay bills, send emails that I should have sorted out earlier and general glute kicking.

Even just typing that out has made we want a coffee weak

foxessocks · 28/08/2018 12:16

Ah thanks everyone I'm chuffed with it!

I'm also feeling the need for coffee. Have been shopping with the dc which is always tricky but we managed it. Picked up last few birthday presents and card for ds , got some toothpaste and spent my birthday voucher on a dress (which I may well swap as I'm not 100% sure on the fit! Doh.)

Just making the dc fishfinger sandwiches for lunch and then will get ds down for his nap.

To do
Unload and reload dishwasher
Laundry
Meal plan for next week
Online food shop for next week
Continue with decluttering

Cagliostro · 28/08/2018 12:46

I'm extra glad we don't have to do school shoe shopping now as DD is already a size five!

Soooo disorganised the last few days. Couldn't get a tesco delivery for this morning as we left it too late, had nothing in for breakfast, woke up late (DD's last night of melatonin break THANK FUCK), went down to asda to get stuff for her packed lunch before she went to friend's, and lunch/dinner stuff. Had McDonald's breakfast (pic attached of new high chairs, is it just me or is that happy meal face utterly bloody terrifying?!) Wandered round aimlessly. Still don't know if friend is coming with her DS to play (not their fault though, sick animal) so a bit of a wash out so far really. Achieved nothing.

Sass are you sure she will actually have loads of books? I was really surprised at the change when my DSCs went to high school - virtually no textbooks, just printouts which got scrumpled up in bags and online learning for homework. Compared to my school where we had textbooks for every subject, we had to cover them in wrapping paper :o always loads to carry (luckily we had lockers which a lot of schools don't). I'll never forget one of the new year sevens putting her backpack on at 3.30 and it was so heavy with books that she fell right over on her back like a tortoise on its shell Blush

Cagliostro · 28/08/2018 14:57

Right, friends popping over shortly. Just sitting down to feed baby and have only just had lunch myself! Had to rush round getting vaguely visitor ready. There is still stuff everywhere but I figured untidy but clean is better than slightly tidier and dirty, so I prioritised doing most of the washing up, a quick wipe of counters and the bathrooms, and vacuuming. Put a wash on as well and shoved the other laundry upstairs (we are improving, but there is still usually a pile of stuff to wash on the kitchen floor as opposed to in the baskets upstairs!).

I am now so tired I’m not sure I want to socialise 😳😂 but I know it’ll be nice really (I’m just nervous as we didn’t really have anyone round before) and poor DS has been obsessively watching the door all afternoon for his bestie (they live rurally so we don’t get to see them often) and the mum is lovely.

Cagletini is being a moody little git though.

foxessocks · 28/08/2018 15:21

cag I so remember covering my textbooks in wrapping paper!! Haven't seen those new highchairs in McDonald's my way, it is pretty creepy I agree! Hope you have a good afternoon.
