Not really it is like this every year so I am used to it and as usual have been doing all the things that I can't do when he is here (going out in the evening, evening training, taking control of the tv remote...) Grin

Haven't been able to do half my list today, so had to find a babysitter so can do it after work. Yes ds can be left whilst I am at work but an extra 3 hours on top is a bit much imo especially as he will be used to rules at his dad's house which imo baby him a bit too much. So there are always a few hard days in transition.

Right am off for a longer than normal drive to fetch him, stopping in at the office on the way...

I antiprocrastinated! Something I have been procrastinating over for, let’s see... 9 years or so?

I have made enquiries about finding a dentist. I may just have to go to any old one. But what I did just now was make enquiries about community dental care which is for people with disabilities including autism. Just to see someone who is more understanding of my epic phobia. They may be able to recommend someone.

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/08/2018 17:59

I found a good dentist via my go cag
In my area there is a dental phobic clinic-they are AMAZING!!!!
when I first was referred I had loads broken/damaged teeth and kept getting abscess as they were so crap.i was offered drugs to semi sedate me but I never needed them(in her words martians could land and offer dental work whilst on these drugs and you would be like yeah love,go for it as they chill you right out!)
She explained EVERYTHING in super detail.tesring instruments in back of my hand and even tho I not scared needles had gel to apply gums prior injections to numb out sting.i had serious anxiety/agoraphobia and she did couple home visits and when I got a serious abcess her mobile number (my bottom jaw was at right angles to normal with swelling and my throat start swell )she s an alerted the night duty officer at hospital of the situation so if I'd had to be seen he would've known how to handle me..I saw her nearly a year slowly get rid teeth and start making dentures for the gaps.sadly she left but I saw another one at clinic a few times then they said j was easy see a "normal" dentist.at that point I took advice people who are just plain scared rather than phobic and j have a lovely albeit aging dentist had tears in his eyes when I got upset having an extraction in march.i was ment to go back in April to arrange new dentures...you have inspired/reminded me to pull up big girl pants.tok late book tonight I do it tomorrow
I know I'm waffling but wanted reassure you there are people out there for those of us who are more than "a bit scared"Flowers

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/08/2018 18:00

You know i ment gp,not go!!

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/08/2018 18:06

Tada
Attacked the boudoir with loud music and equally loud dodgy singing
End result- binbag rubbish, bag for chazza and a gap all way around sides(not end as shelving a gone in there).there is literally only about a foot n half between bed n wallanyways so it's made a huge difference to my tiny space!!I need some naice boxes to put the stuff on the open shelving unit into so it looks less cluttered but I'm really checked how much it's improved

Living room
Cleaned new fire
Put back bare essentials(plant, clock ,pic and a cat ornament zoolets got me from their jolly with dad)
Wipe floor in front of it(looks like coal dust as it's individual bits not a fake chunk sits on it now hope kits don't start pinch bits/try eat it
4loads wash done today-2of towels, which are dry fold n put away, one of ironing to do,another in drier!
Need put away stuff hadoce give workman room.hd suspects be back to tackle shower tom as he does lot shower fittings.asked a heads up peek.vathrokm was tip so that needs sorting before he trusts work in there(or another brave man if someone else) tomorrow pm!!

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/08/2018 18:09

I despair typos.hope you got the jist of all that!!

To do
Dinner- fish, spinach and spring onion mash and carrots.supposed to be making ginger cake(might have postpone that til tom now)
Start bathroom
Scrub kitchen surfaces as scout at sneak up for a nap again and left grass seeds and something sticky from his paws on themAngry

Cagliostro · 29/08/2018 18:53

Thank you so much for explaining that zoo really appreciate it! Have no clue what is available here in sussex but left a message and my number with the county office. I am fine with needles generally but have major issues with anxiety and the vulnerability of it. To the extent that when I got my maternity exemption certificate at 20wks pregnant I thought great I can get free dental... and here I am with a 10 month old baby and no treatment. But I promised myself I'd sort it once we moved.

DD is knackered as she had her first night back on melatonin last night and it's caught up. Still went to gym as she'd missed it because of her foot last week. I stayed home and tried to alleviate tantrums from the baby because I didn't let her climb onto the windowsill. FFS.

DD texted me to ask if she could do her washing when she got in as she wants particular things clean for a party. Feeling good that taking responsibility is working!

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/08/2018 18:58

Aw,that's a good sign with their cleaning habits cag dd2 is still dumping where she stops, and apparently gates me as since did her room can't find a particular set make up

Tada
Cleaned dining table
Fish on,peeled spuds n put on
Cleaned around fireplace
Swept living room floor
Cleaned around computer table and returned items that sit near/Infront of fuse box

I can really see small inroads in all rooms now and it's making me feel quite motivated to continue decluttering and organising!

Cagliostro · 29/08/2018 19:19

Yay well done zoo!

OMGGGGGGG Cagletini is such hard work today 😡😡😡 she is delightful in the sense that she is learning so much and is very funny, she took 8 steps in a row today, she is making new sounds etc, but holy fuck she lets you know if she doesn’t get her own way! And sadly her own way is getting into everything!

I cheered myself up by spending money on Amazon, not that any of it was actually for me Hmm (home ed stuff etc). Haven’t actually ordered the playpen yet either.

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/08/2018 19:41

It's easy to get distracted by an adventuring baby cag she sounds adorable but like you say hardwork

Zoolets scoffing, washed sofa blankie, they be going into the drier shortly.i CBA do the ironing tonight!
Tomorrow is another day!!

I've have you started job yet?(forgetful.did I imagine it you needed childcare on school days?)

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 29/08/2018 20:18

Hello all. Have been back at work today and feeling the post holiday blues a bit. Have cheered up now though as DH bought flowers and a nice ready meal and Wine when out with the kids today to say thanks for them all for all the stressing holiday organising and packing and suncream buying etc I did. Unfortunately he forgot the money off vouchers for the shopping as usual but I can’t be too annoyed when he bought all the nice things. Anyone got any tips for that? They are paper vouchers. We have tried putting them in a special place on the notice board, putting them directly on the calendar, putting them in his wallet. He still forgets Angry. It’s usually me that is he disorganised one. I put my vouchers and wrap them round the reward card but these don’t seem to be the right shape for that.

Flowers and food was really sweet actually as I think usually they all think I am nagging about organising and getting stuff done so it is nice to be appreciated SmileSmile. Once DD1 is asleep I will be having my glass of wine.

Cag, great news re taking steps to find dentist. Yes, Cagletini is at a difficult age now!

Lentil bolognese sounds good foxes and zoo.

Big wing flaps to everyone else.

Also, I have a very basic earring question. I don’t have pierced ears myself so don’t really know about these things and no shops sell earrings in our town except elaborate costume stuff. I need to get some very simple earrings for school for DD1. I am thinking plain studs in gold and silver. I am paralysed by the choice online and don’t know what size etc to order. Any tips? I am going to risk another thread in style and beauty and see what people say and hope not to start an argument about ear piercing

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/08/2018 21:00

Clare's accessories?
Mine wear Avon ones(do packs simple studs cheaply),but they aren't gold,so only wear during school day and take out
Odd but tattoo/piercing places tend do good stuff.i had my girls ears pierced there as it's often cheaper and they are better trained than Clare's(controversial).we got load good advice and when dd1 had a little lump form they if it was serious and what to do!
Maybe Argos do some?
Sorry that wasn't definitively helpful stressy my brains fogging up from lack of sleep...

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 29/08/2018 21:10

Thanks zoo, that is helpful. We went to a proper tattoo place to get DD1’s done too for the same reasons. Unfortunately the place doesn’t sell simple earrings.

Should have been clearer, I need to double check school rules but it seems to be just completely plain gold and silver earrings I need and everywhere, even Claire’s seems to be crystal or unicorn. Then they are different sizes. Think I want 2mm studs???? Don’t want to pay a small fortune at a jewellers!

HillsBesideTheSea · 29/08/2018 21:12

ONly problem is sometimes tatoo places can be awkward about age. Also school can be a major issue. Ds' have always requested pierces happen at the beginning of the summer holidays because children can't perticipate in sports for safety reasons unless they can be removed. Just agree with about but check the stub policy for school if not home edding.

I have the boy back. God how i have missed his sarcasm

HillsBesideTheSea · 29/08/2018 21:14

Ahh sorry got distracted. See you have that covered already. Claires used to have the plain ones stored out back but you could request them but that was eons ago when there were walls of brightly colour scrunchies

Ah glad he is back Hills! Oh that is good to know about Claire’s. Yes, ears were done at the beginning of the holiday so we are ok on that front. School fine as long as plain earrings and not wearing them on PE or swimming days. I found this selection here and wonder if some of them might do. The piercings place said stick to gold and silver for now while piercings still new.

HillsBesideTheSea · 29/08/2018 21:51

Less likely to get a reaction from them. SO that makes sense. Not clicking the links as not been making good life choices and neeeeeeed to go to bed after I have made a hot water bottle and washed uniform for tomo.

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/08/2018 21:51

HillsBesideTheSea · 29/08/2018 22:18
