~ hoover downstairs and maybe upstairs to get rid of sand which is everywhere.
~ do food shopping or ask dh to.
~ get book out from library. Renew other book.
~ e-mail some friends.
~ ring music teacher.
~ get hair cut this afternoon.
~ water neglected houseplants.
~ make a list of stuff to take away next wk.
~ there will be more stuff, I'm sure of it!

Another post from SimplySparkling as I have confused everyone with the double post thing again:

I've had a quick look through a couple of threads but don't know if I can remember much.

Hi to one and all.

luda I do hope you have been able to get the children settled more at night the last one or two so that they sleep enough and you get an evening to put your feet up.

EHM Good to see you back from your hols. I hope they went well.

I can't remember much more! I hope to e-mail a couple of friends from here this w/e as I'm away for most of next week and I don't want to neglect them further! I hoped to be able to use the laptop when away but I didn't have an internet connection and then I couldn't remember my password to get in on another system. Twit!

I've already put a load of washing on and I did some unpacking last night. I have lots to do this w/e. I'll write it out and then post again. Back in a bit.

Done:-
~ one load of washing done and on line. Another in machine.
~ drove to get milk and the paper. The little car appears to be unwilling to start! I had to take the other one with the kayak and paddle on the top!

Morning all

Jas you do make me with all your confusing double posting. Hope you have a lovely week away

SS {{{{WAVE}}}} Hello nice to have you back Are you off again next weekend too?

Last Night was better than the night before but still didn't go too well . I still didn't actually get downstairs until just after 9pm. I then had to get up twice to DD2 and ended up getting in with her. I'm not amused They all fiddle arsed about as usual, DD2 refused to lie down (her refusing to do things is really beginning to annoy me) I spent at least half an hour getting up...lying her back down...sitting back on the bean bag....getting cross as she sat back up....lying her back down..(I actually got up and stood in the garden for a minute to save myself from killing her)She eventually fell asleep and then DD1 started crying that she was all alone...I was way to tired to argue so sat on the end of her bed for a bit until she was sleepy.
DS however was as happy as Larry!!!! He fell asleep without any fuss whatsoever...even in the middle of DD2 being a pain. So I guess my plan to keep him happy worked!!!! SIGH!

DH strolled in at 9.15pm blissfully unaware!!!

I really need to do something....it is driving me nuts!!!! It seems to be DD2 actually who is the biggest problem. I refuse to get in and lie with her though...I'll be doing it for ever and a day if I start. I am sure if I persist they will all settle down

Anyway sorry to grumble on!!!!

I have to take them all shopping today

SS If you see or hear a woman on the edge screaming blue murder in the middle of Lidls you know who it is

Right had better get on.... see you all soon

SimplySparkling · 02/06/2007 09:03

Hi luda. Sorry to hear that the settling off to sleep stuff continues. I'll try to think of something helpful to e-mail you later on. I'm off early next week for four days. I'll tell you all about it in the e-mail.

Jas I somehow missed the bit where you said you'll be away. Have a good one!

Right. Have had brekkie and need to put the next load of washing on. See you later!

glitterfairy · 02/06/2007 09:11

glitterfairy · 02/06/2007 10:47

Hi EHM now been for run and done some boxing as well. Packing up for day in the Dales and what a day it is!!!!!

SimplySparkling · 02/06/2007 12:24

Hello to gf and EHM. Have a good day out gf.

I'm posting my list so that I can see what to do next. I have about 17 reminders on my outlook inbox but dh has today changed the password to something we can easily remember and I'm not sure about the box popping up, so I can't access it until he comes home. Spent an age at the vets in town as he was out stuck in traffic (as an aside to luda - stuck in traffic? - here?!!!) The kitchen is still a tip but the w/m has just finished the 4th load. I will get there but I need to get showered and have some lunch before going to town for my hair app't. I hope the little car is now running properly. Dh has taken the other to town and I don't want to be stuck and miss my app't. Off to put washing out and make lunch!

Done:-
~ take dog to vets for injection
~ walk dog whilst waiting for vet to turn up
~ get cash out

To do:-
~ work my way through washing basket 'til empty
~ strip the 3 beds and wash
~ finish unpacking and put stuff away
~ wash, dry and post back the towel I accidentally brought back from the cottage
~ hoover downstairs and maybe upstairs to get rid of sand which is everywhere.
~ do food shopping or ask dh to.
~ get book out from library. Renew other book. dh is doing this
~ e-mail some friends.
~ ring music teacher.
~ get hair cut this afternoon.
~ water neglected houseplants.
~ make a list of stuff to take away next wk.

shouldbe · 02/06/2007 13:26

Hello everyone

simply welcome back Hope you had a good time
Jas, if I haven't missed you already - have a good time away Only a couple of weeks till we get away too - can't wait
Luda that last night didn't go so well - fingers crossed for a better time tonight
glitter at you in the dales - have a lovely day
Glassslipper and EHM Hello

I've been at work all morning but forgot I was booked in to finish early today (to make the most of the last couple of days of school hols) so dh and the kids are out and I have come home to an empty house. Never mind though, it's very nice to have some quiet and we have a long list of garden jobs to do this afternoon so will be busy once they're all home. We hope to get a bike ride in too

I'm off to have lunch quietly in the garden - see you later x

ludaloo · 02/06/2007 14:59

Hello All

shouldbe how nice an unexpected rest hope you enjoyed your lunch.

SS stuck in traffic.....actually there are traffic lights at the top of the big hill by Morrisons...maybe he went that way?? I had to by-pass them this morning and come through the Industrial Estate to get into town.

GF Have a good day We used to go there as kids.

Hello to EHM

I don't suppose anyone knows anything about hamsters?? DD1's is acting very weird....It keeps falling over. When you go near it, it flips over and plays dead. It isn't drinking either. I gave it some apple and a bit of lettuce in the hope of getting some fluid inside it. I'm wondering if it might have eaten something whilst on its rampage the other morning!..... really don't know but it seems to have lost its sense of balance or something?

Anyhoo...better get on xx

tortoise · 02/06/2007 19:47

Hi all.
It was very strange to not get on MN at all yesterday!
Swim was great fun BUT a bit scary too because DS1 slipped off the inflatable thing in the deep end (only just learning to swim)and was rescued by the life guard . It scared him but i hope i have managed to reasure him that he will be ok to go swimming again. I don't want it to make him scared of water forever .
Then we watched a movie together in the evening after DD's were in bed.
They are at their dads today until 5pm Sunday.

Jas Lol @ your double postings! Have a good time away.
Shouldbe Lucky you having a bit of peace and quiet!
Luda Sorry to read of your bedtime battles. i am afraid i went straight for putting DD's down and walking out the roo after xp2 had moved out. i used to keep them up at night to see him as he was often out working late. Now they are pretty good sleepers. Both go off to sleep on their own. I hope you manage to sort it soon and get a break in the evenings.
BIG HELLO to everyone else.

EHM · 02/06/2007 20:14

shouldbe hope you enjoyed the time in the garden & unexpected you time
tort your poor ds, you must of got such a fright. I am sure he will be fine. Its great that he can swim.

Right Ellie has just gone to bed, this is around her normal pre illness bedtime so things are hopefully getting back to normal for her. The cat is crying constantly to get of the cage I feel awful keeping her trapped in there

Having a cuppa then having an early night. Not been in bed before 1230 since we arrived home from holiday & not had much sleep with either Ellie or poor we Vic. Its finally caught up on me. Night all see you tomorrow.x.x

EHM · 02/06/2007 20:15

GF hope you have in nice time in the dales. BIG hello to everyone else.

ludaloo · 02/06/2007 20:29

8.15 tonight!!! Its getting better.

shouldbe I decided to try some music....after about 10 mins of children's tv theme tunes it was quite apparent it was a bit too upbeat as DD2 got the giggles and squeeled for joy at Bob The Builder. Anyway....found some childrens classical music and DD2 lay down...yawned and by about the third track in she was fast asleep!!!!! YAY!!!

DS isn't that keen so once DD2 was asleep I put the cd player in DD1's room who was very pleased (but couldn't understand why no one was singing on the tape! I told her to think of her own words...and imagine little fairies!)

All is quiet!!!!!!!!!!

In the 6 years of having children I have never had music on at bed time!! I wonder now why on earth not!!!

tortoise · 02/06/2007 20:35

Thanks EHM Luda Thats great. Mine all like music on at night. DD1 can only go to sleep with lazy town cd on though! It drives me mad hearing it through the monitor every night!! I tried different CDs and she just gets up and asks for lazy town . I forgot about that in previous post!

ludaloo · 02/06/2007 20:46

hmmmm lazy town is annoying at the best of times!!!!

DS got very bored of classical music....I think he would prefer someting a bit different...will have to hunt round for something soothing yet interesting for the older two. (although I enjoyed the "Everyone's a fruit and nut bar...tra la la lala la" song....and Brahm's lullaby)

tortoise · 02/06/2007 20:47

I actually quite like lazy town but am really fed up of hearing the same songs every night plus find myself singing along!

ludaloo · 02/06/2007 20:49

I can't imagine it being that soothing though....its quite dancey isn't it.....

shouldbe · 02/06/2007 20:53

Luda I'm so pleased the CD trick worked for you! Lets hope it works every night My two were exhausted tonight so were in bed and asleep by 7.15 (thankfully, so dh and I were able to watch Doc Who in peace!)
EHM have a good rest
Tort at your ds needing to be rescued by the lifegaurd! I hope he (and you) are OK

I had a nice quiet lunch in the garden but it didn't last long as dh brought the kids home early after dd had a tantrum over something silly on their outing we're having zero tolerance with the bad tempers from her (she's 6 now fgs!) so she was brought straight home....she did cheer up as the afternoon went on and we had a good time playing in the garden. Dh cut back some big plants and so the garden is looking tidier and the neighbours shouldbe happy......
I'm tired now so will be running a bath soon and having an early night. See you tomorrow x

shouldbe · 02/06/2007 20:54

oh..hello you two - fancy a quick hello on MSN?

gibberish · 02/06/2007 20:57

I have read the fly threads with much interest and have even followed it with various degrees of success...

But now I am back to working full time. Can someone please tell me if it is possible to follow the fly routine whilst working full time and how is this possible?? Thanks
