We're just about to leave to look around the gardens that are open in the village today - ds is almost asleep though so I'm not sure how we'll get on, there's quite a bit of walking to do

Thanks for the welcomes

And thanks too glasslipper. I've decided that however little I can do can only help really so going to give it a go again.

Not checked what the fly chores are for today (are there any on a Sunday?) but I have:

Hoovered
Washed 3 loads
Dried 3 loads (Not very green, sorry)
Washed youngest girls bedding
Put away loads of clothes (seems to be a laundry theme here)
Cleaned two bathrooms
Tidied everywhere
Given 3 violin lessons
Started dinner
Poured glass of wine

Still to

Bath kids
Sort out clothes for morning
Zonk out on couch

shouldbe · 03/06/2007 18:09

Wow, you've all been busy this afternoon!

We're just back from our long trip round the open gardens - it's been lovely but after 3 1/2 hrs of walking everyone is pretty tired! Supper for the kids is in the oven and I'm supposed to be sorted out dds school bags ready for the morning (have realised to my shame that i haven't done any school reading with dd all holidays but she has been reading other bits and pieces everywhere when we've been out and about so I hope that counts ) Need to bath the kids before bed as they're hot and pretty dirty after being outdoors all day.
Better get on with sorting myself out ready for the morning, if I sit down for long now I doubt I'll get up again!

shouldbe · 03/06/2007 18:14

gibberish you're getting the hang of things already

gibberish · 03/06/2007 18:22

Hehe thanks. Well a week at work will soon put the place back to square one.

Been peeking at the missions (been a while since I last looked) and think I may be able to manage some after work. So feeling hopeful.. Really need to get organised.

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 19:39

Oh Yeh...Oh Yeh.....

My kids are all asleep!!!!!!!!!!!!

All bathed....all talcum powdered....all teeth brushed....all pyjamad....all in bed!

Hoorah!!!!!! Shouldbe you are a star!!!

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 19:46

Gibberish you are doing great! The missions are only supposed to take 15 mins (most of them) so you'll be able to do them after work if you aren't too tired

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 19:47

Hey kitchen this week Jolly Good!!!!

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 20:02

.....did I sound a bit posh then!!?

glitterfairy · 03/06/2007 20:11

LOl BB I did use those words. I walked a little bit of it though. My legs are aching because I have been trying to make up for the nightmare of my low week last week. Am eating properly again though and sorting my life again. I am doing a 10k race next Sunday so must be prepared.

Have done my hoovering and even started the packed lunches for tomorrow! I have one child with washed hair and another waiting in the bath queue.

tortoise · 03/06/2007 20:54

Hi all.
I have been quite busy today and some areas are looking much better. Also did about hour and a half of ironing today and then put all the washing away except ds's. I think its time they did their own! DS1 has done his since being home but DS2 hasn't. Grrr!

We have one more day left because its inset training day tomorrow. I am hoping for good weather for a long walk and picnic.

luda Hope the hamster is ok. And well done for getting all to bed quickly tonight.

GF Thats a long run! Well done. I wish i could be as good as you. I did skip with ds this evening. Did over 100 skips with the rope.

Have a good evening all.

glitterfairy · 03/06/2007 20:56

Its hard though tort but mostly its because I really have to be as healthy as possible for my dcs. If something happened to me it does not bear thinking about

tortoise · 03/06/2007 21:16

GF. But its good you have something to keep you going.
Any tips? If you don't want to post them on here my email is [email protected]. I am finding it really hard. It seems impossible to fit exercise in with my lot! But we do walk a lot which is good too.

SimplySparkling · 03/06/2007 21:40

A short post from me. Hello to everyone.

gf and tort Nothing much I can say except if things worry you, have a chat with friends and sound them out. Put into place a contingency plan or two and have insurance if you possibly can. I've recently taken one out for myself as I don't earn much but my contribution to the household in homemaking and childcare is huge. I think mine is about £6 a month and would pay out a good sum. It is due to last until dd is 18 I think.

Okay. My list.
Done:-
~ ring music teacher
~ helped ds organise some Scouts stuff
~ helped dd with homework
~ Lord knows what else apart from making lunch and tea, I've no idea!
To do:-
~ take ds to doctors appt and to school afterwards
~ take dd to optician appt
~ work my way through washing basket 'til empty It keeps filling up again!
~ finish unpacking and put stuff away
~ wash, dry done and post back the towel I accidentally brought back from the cottage
~ hoover downstairs done and maybe upstairs to get rid of sand which is everywhere.
~ e-mail some friends.
~ water neglected houseplants.
~ make a list of stuff to take away next wk.
Still so much to do! See you tomorrow.

shouldbe · 03/06/2007 22:29

Luda, that's great! I'm sooo pleased the evenings are improving
Tort Hello! Dh is working this eve so I'm off to bed now, hope to catch you tomorrow sometime
simply - washing baskets have a nasty habit of filling back up ...I'm still waiting for your email

glitter Good Luck with the run next weekend, I'll be thinking of you

Must go, I'm shattered! See you all tomorrow x
