Yes it is quite dancey! But she loves it!

Aufish · 02/06/2007 21:07

Hi girls haven't been on today as I needed to get my head sorted out where my father was concerned, have now sent him a text and he has replied with he forgot! So I have said goodbye to him, I don't want that in my life or in my children's lives. So now am feeling abit Will be back once I have sussed myself out properly.

tortoise · 02/06/2007 22:03

Awww Aufish. ((((( hugs )))) So sorry to hear that.
I am always around for a chat if you need one. I see i just missed you on MSN. Will try and catch you tomorrow if you are about.

ludaloo · 02/06/2007 22:16

Aufish awwwwwwwww I'm so sad to hear that. You poor thing {{{HUGS}}} to you xxxxx
I hope you are ok.

ludaloo · 02/06/2007 22:18

gibberish no idea how you FLY and work but I'm sure if you scaled the routine down a bit it would be possible.
A good cleaning spree...over a few days to get completely on top before you go back to work would help too.

glitterfairy · 02/06/2007 22:32

Gibberish. It is possible but just with the missions and shiny sink and you have to let go when you cant do something. On weeks where I am working constantly away I must say the hosue does look worse than when I am working from home but I still manage some things.

gibberish · 02/06/2007 22:34

Thanks ludaloo. I presumed that the routine was aimed at sah people, but I am sure it could be adapted to full time (out of home) workers. Just not sure how in practice it could work. And if any full time out of house workers do follow it.

I am pretty organised - no clutter to speak of and quite a good routine. On the face of it everything looks great but it's the places people can't see that need working on but I can't seem to find the time - cupboards/down the back of the couch/shelves that are too high to dust type of things. Fly seems to cover all this stuff but I dont know when to fit it all in. Maybe I should just chill and accept that I am doing the best I can at the moment.

gibberish · 02/06/2007 22:35

Thanks too glitterfairy. I did shine my sink for the first time in ages today Yeah, think perhaps I need to let go - do what I can do and be content with that.

SimplySparkling · 02/06/2007 23:32

Aufish I'm very sorry to hear that you're having a tough time. {{hugs}} to you.

luda We came that way last night but didn't see any roadworks so perhaps they were new this morning? My dog actually did a runner from the examination room, too. The nice chap who'd let her slobber over him earlier caught her as she made for the door to the road!

I've made some progress today. Just a quick post so that I can see what still needs to be done tomorrow.

Done:-
~ about 7 loads of washing.
~ strip the 3 beds stripped and wash
~ do food shopping
~ get book out from library. Renew other book.
~ get hair cut this afternoon.
~ go to town 3 times! Once to take dog to vets, once for food shopping and stuff, once to take dd and friend to cinema. I normally try hard to limit driving but today was an exceptional day.
To do:-
~ work my way through washing basket 'til empty
~ finish unpacking and put stuff away
~ wash, dry and post back the towel I accidentally brought back from the cottage
~ hoover downstairs and maybe upstairs to get rid of sand which is everywhere.
~ e-mail some friends.
~ ring music teacher.
~ water neglected houseplants.
~ make a list of stuff to take away next wk.

See you all tomorrow. Nos da pawb. Good night all.

EHM · 03/06/2007 07:39

Good Morning One & All

*aufish8 {{{hugs}}} hope things get better for you soon.
Luda I've never used music either glad it works
tort My niece love Lazy Town
gibberish welcome & good luck. The ladies here are lovely. couldn't do it without their constant support.I don't always do thi missions. But I find doing a list each day helps.

Hope everyone else is ok. See you all later.x.x

EHM · 03/06/2007 07:39

shouldbe better rested. hope things get better with dd.
simplyS good luck with the rest of your list today.

shouldbe · 03/06/2007 08:13

Good Morning Another beautiful day here - blue sky as far as the eye can see

Giberish Hello and welcome
Aufish (((hugs))) to you. Hope you're able to move on soon....feel free to nudge me on MSN if ever you fancy a chat - if I hear the computer I'll always do my best to chat (as tort and Luda will testify!)
EHM I didn't get the early night I'd planned - ended up chatting to Luda and Tort on MSN till late

I have a few things to do today but am finding it easier to leave the housework at the weekends and do family stuff instead, then just blitz the house while everyone is out in the mornings in the week
So, today our plans are~
~have nice family breakfast
~go on bike ride before it gets too hot
~cut grass on verge outside house (dh to do)
~other gardening jobs
~supermarket?..maybe...
~get out on bikes to visit local open gardens
~BBQ for supper perhaps
~kids to bed
~get ready for school tomorrow - PE kit/swimming kit/reading bag/after-school activity clothes etc etc....

That's it Have a good day everyone, see you later x

GlassSlipper · 03/06/2007 08:17

gibberish. I am a sahm but by the time i've ferried the 2 Los about , run errands, and been on MN there isnt much time for housework Fly helps you to focus on the jobs that need doing and not get sidetracked so I'm sure it could help.

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 08:17

Morning to you all

I'm very worried about the hamster (well I'm worried about DD1 really) It isn't well at all....It didn't actually come out to play last night....I went up to bed and checked in on DD1, and the hamster was all curled up. Checked this morning and it is still all curled up It is actually breathing very gently. Yesterday it kept falling over....and behaving really weird. It has hardly touched its water I put apple in and some lettuce but it has hardly touched that either. DD1 will be gutted if the poor thing dies!!

Anyhoo....will have to keep an eye on him.

My to do list for today:

~Washing
~Buy d/w tablets (forgot them yesterday) and run d/w
~Blast a hotspot in the kitchen which has been irritating me for weeks
~Sort out the Airing Cupboard
~Tidy downstairs cupboard (only did this about 2 weeks ago!!! )

See you all in a bit xx

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 08:27

SS glad your dog got caught.....I have to say though if I was a dog I'd have bolted for the door too .

shouldbe · 03/06/2007 08:29

Luda hope the hamster is OK...(and dd1 is if the worst happens...it's hard to loose a pet )
Good luck with the cupboards today My downstairs cupboard has stayed tidy so far [smug] but other cupboards around the house need attention - I'll be putting them off for a while yet!

shouldbe · 03/06/2007 08:30

Right! I must get off MN and get on with getting the kids up and ready for the day..
BFN x

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 08:32

Have a good day

shouldbe · 03/06/2007 08:34

Thanks - you too

I keep hanging around on here - make me go and get the kids dressed....

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 10:21

I didn't peek back! Hope the kids are dressed now!

I'm doing quite well so far

~Washing on
~Buy d/w tablets (forgot them yesterday) and run d/w done
~Blast a hotspot in the kitchen which has been irritating me for weeks
~Sort out the Airing Cupboard done....(it looks really neat now....not Anthea type neatness...I'll be buggered if I can get the hang of folding fitted sheets neat and flat...mine are kind of rolled/bundled..then squashed flat )
~Tidy downstairs cupboard (only did this about 2 weeks ago!!!)

~Emptied bins and put bin out for bin men tomorrow
~Tidied upstairs
~Put washing away
~Tidied garden...looks like rain is on the way

shouldbe · 03/06/2007 11:23

if it rains for you Luda - still gloriously sunny here Your airing cupboard sounds good - well done
We're all up and dressed now and have been having fun in the garden (so much so that when I just came back into the house I realised the breakfast stuff is still all out on the table) We've re-potted our sunflowers and done some general garden tidying up. Dh has cut the verge and is now repairing the garden table Kids are playing on their scooters so it's all good
I'd better go and tidy away breakfast before it's time for lunch! Back later

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 11:38

its not raining yet...but is overcast

~Washing on
~Buy d/w tablets (forgot them yesterday) and run d/w done
~Blast a hotspot in the kitchen which has been irritating me for weeks done
~Sort out the Airing Cupboard done....(it looks really neat now....not Anthea type neatness...I'll be buggered if I can get the hang of folding fitted sheets neat and flat...mine are kind of rolled/bundled..then squashed flat )
~Tidy downstairs cupboard (only did this about 2 weeks ago!!!) done (looked worse than it was!)

~Emptied bins and put bin out for bin men tomorrow done
~Tidied upstairs done
~Put washing away done
~Tidied garden...looks like rain is on the way *done

Well that'll do for today I think....bit of hoovering left to do.
Off to make some lunch.
(DH is still in bed )

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 11:41

Oh....I moved our sunflowers yesterday...took them out their pots and planted them in the garden. They were getting a bit pot bound. Our tallest one is about 1 1/2 meters....no flower yet though

shouldbe · 03/06/2007 12:20

1 1/2 meters for your sunflower Luda, that's miles better than ours! Our plants are about a foot tall so far we did start growing them quite late though...I've put ours into a couple of bigger pots as our garden seems to be over-run with slugs this year
Kitchen is tidy so I'm off to get lunch now

ludaloo · 03/06/2007 13:45

I have just strimmed the edges of the garden and mown the lawn before it rains....have felt a few spots.

We seem to have lots of slugs and snails....moved the garden flower boxes and there were squillions underneath!! DD1 has been collecting worms (EEWWWW)
I just hope they stay off the sunflowers.
