Cleaning vids on youtube

Im addicted. Mainly american women cleaning their whole house. They have barely any "stuff", seem to use amazing gadgets and special cleaning products. And they all have these very flat shiny hardwood floors throughout which they go over with one soak of the mophead.

I thought it would motivate me to clean but I just end up watching them in amongst a mess.

Sassitude for some reason the videos motivate me far more than the fly lady ever has. I mustn’t like all the reading on the fly lady. Either that or I just like looking at other people’s houses and am a nosey old cow

I could definitely post Costco haul vlogs, but why people would be interested in toilet roll and washing powder is a mystery. I should watch Jen's, I bet she buys interesting stuff (we have had to hire a van to get the furniture from Costco home though, it is massive!).

I’ve just watched How Jen Does It’s latest video. I think I’ve realised where I’m going wrong. The tasks that take her an hour would probably take me all day. She doesn’t seem to factor in 15 , two telephone calls, watching Homes Under the Hammer or a nap...

I have a YT channel (not here to promote it lol) and made a few cleaning videos but I don’t think they went down well with my subscribers. Food shopping hauls and clothing hauls on the other hand really do!! I must say I’m a sucker for a food haul. Im super nosey lol, food wise I quite like She’s in her apron (again!), Shelley’s Home life, Grady’s Mom, The Family Fudge, etc. They are all across the pond, I guess I don’t like uk food hauls lol

Yes I watched Clean My Space do a kitchen deep clean and she said it took her 30 min including cleaning the fridge? She's on glue.

Absolutely love cleaning videos and blogs they are making a difference to my home, though. I struggled a lot when I moved in to my first home and am only just getting to the point where unannounced guests don't cause me to hide behind the sofa and pretend I'm not in.

Some new videos on here I didn't know, so looked those up - I've just watched someone dust all the individual leaves on their plants! I have never done that. I'm obviously not as in control/on top of it all as I thought!

But it does only take them a short time because their homes are spotless when they start.
Like I started my living room, put stuff on the stairs to take upstairs, the stairs needed hoovering so I started on them, got to the top and there’s laundry so decided to put that in the machine (multi task), some fucker has pulled out ALL the Tupperware so I spent 20 mins sorting that and cleaning the draw (throwing the carrier bags that are stuffed in every orifice on to the floor), then I decided to fold the carrier bags but needed a small plastic basket to put them in so went to buy one from my local £1 shop, saw zoflora and bleach and bought that, didn’t have a carrier bag so bought a carrier bag, got home, had a cuppa, went to get the milk out the fridge, decided to clean the fridge, took everything out.
Put everything back in the fridge without cleaning it, threw the carrier bags in the bin and lay down on the sofa.
Took me 3hrs23mins.
House is a shit tip.

Fishface I would watch the fuck out of that as a video, with you narrating and occasional Benny Hill music. I think they have a LOT of prep and several takes of anything to do with the children especially.

Haha Jilted I didn’t want people to read ‘im a youtuber’ and think I am just here for promotion. I wouldn’t ever share it on here as have shared a lot on MN. We’re just a small channel anyway, under 100k subscribers as a rough guide lol.
