Desperate!!

My husband can't sleep with noise and i can't sleep with heat!!!

We can see this thread is a few years old so some of the suggestions may be out of stock, but we’ve recently updated our best tower fan and best pedestal fan pages with plenty of Mumsnetter-approved recommendations.

We also have guides to the best handheld fan and desk fan too, if you’re wanting something more compact and budget-friendly. We hope they help.

Yes the Dyson one - my therapist has it in his office and it’s super quiet during awkward pauses! :/

Costco has the best fan ever - NSA Ecofan. Settings go up to around 23 and 1 is barely audible, 23 about blows you away. Also on Amazon but much more expensive there. It comes with a remote. Compared it to the Dyson on offer at Costco today and it is much better IMO.

Tulipvase · 28/06/2018 19:20

We’ve just bought a 9inch cheap one from Tesco and it’s pretty quiet. Personally I like the noise - cuts out other odd noises that would wake me up.

There was something on Tv about fans and they compared them. The Dysom did not come out particularly favourably compared to the cheap ones.

Dyson is the way to go.

MissWimpyDimple · 28/06/2018 19:26

Dyson fan is a lifesaver. I love love love mine. Was about £230 I think

Vitalogy · 28/06/2018 19:26

While we're at it, has anyone got a quietish portable air conditioning unit?

QuiteCleanBandit · 28/06/2018 19:27

I also got the Tesco 9 inch desk fan-so quiet I was shocked !

bogglepop · 28/06/2018 20:49

Dyson fan is excellent

flippinthebird · 28/06/2018 21:32

Think I'm gonna go for the Dyson Pure Cool heat.

Seems amazing. Purifier so reviews have stated gets rid of hayfever, plus elimates smells within minutes (excellent for DH ass at night) heater for winter and a great fab in summer.

£500 but sold

I treated myself to a Dyson Cool this year and it is my favourite thing ever at the moment. I love that it's so light so moving it from room to room is easy and quick.

Money well spent, 3rd night with this bad boy. Quiet and no hayfever at night!!

And it's beautiful
