Morning

DP fell asleep on the sofa last night, and only came to bed at 5.15.when I woke him up taking dd2s wet bed clothes downstairs. He woke ds, so it's an early start for me today.

Thankyou EHM (simply is right about the email, you might want to get that post deleted, but I will add you to my address book first), glassslipper and simply I will cat you later today.

I did sign upfor msn, but never remember to use it

I'm going to my friends for breakfast (combining with a bit of child minding as there will be to many babies for us to get to toddler group) and my parents will be here later. Hopefully I will get a bit done before school this morning.

tortoise I hope you find time to make the lunch today!

SimplySparkling · 10/05/2007 09:29

Hello to all.

Thanks for the thread Jelley. What an early start for you today. I looked at the mattress protector sheet I use on the kids' beds the other day.
here it is
I can't remember where I bought it from originally but it works well. Mine must be about 9 or 10 yrs old and as usable as ever. I'll look forward to receiving your CAT message.

Yadda Thanks for the Cornish good morning. I made a work colleague smile yesterday. He came into the room and commented in Welsh (he is learning, too) that I was on my own. I replied with my hand to my forehead in a troubled fashion "Neb yn licio fi. Dwi'n mynd i'r ardd i'r bwyta wurrms" which is very poor Welsh for "No-body likes me. I'm going to the garden (pointing to the sea incidentally, seeing as I was in work, it is all I could see out of the window!) to eat worms". The kids laughed when I told the tale at teatime. Dh looked more worried about my sanity than usual!

shouldbe You'll be in need of a good cup of tea after all that! Hope your day goes well.

To anyone who shops in the Co-op, Luis Felipe Edwards 2006 Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile is £2.99 a bottle atm. It is good value and worth buying for a gift if you need to give a nice (but not too expensive) bottle to someone in the near future. I bought 6, though they don't do a 5% discount for 6 like Somerfield and Morrisons do.

Done:-
~ 2nd load in w/m
~ 2 loads on line
~ d/w loaded and put on
~ neigbour's pets fed
~ various tidying up bits done

To do:-
~ e-mails. Lots of them! I've been neglecting people for a while. Ooops.
~ Christening gift to decide upon
~ walk the dog
~ write birthday cards and deliver them
~ other stuff

Aufish · 10/05/2007 09:29

I have just made the biggest gaff going! Still laughing about it now! On the way to school and the phone goes, I answer it after seeing that it is a withheld number.

Me: Hello
caller: is ** there?
Me: No, sorry he isn't
caller: hello, hello, hello
Me, by now is thinking that it is other half messing around says ", stop messing around!"
caller: sorry this is PC *
from the police station about the report of damage.
Me, slowly dying of shame, then gets a fit of giggles apologises for my mistake, kids are laughing at me as well by this time. He's going to call me back later this afternoon and hopefully I won't laugh again.
Will be back with my list once I have calmed down abit.

EHM · 10/05/2007 09:30

as you can see the snot is effecting me typing skills
jelley enjoy your breakfast not enhjoy your breakfast
shouldbe{{{hugs}}} with all that driving, not will all that driving you'll need them today.

simplyS I also at your tale too

SimplySparkling · 10/05/2007 09:33

EHM You are not at all! I'm just being a bit protective of you, I expect. If you want it deleted, contact MN using the exclamation mark next to that post, explain that you would like it deleted as it didn't have gaps and stuff in. They should be able to do it for you soon. We all live and learn, you know. Good luck with the passport. I think ds and dd's passports will be due for renewal in a few years. It is pretty expensive, isn't it? Have a good day.

EHM · 10/05/2007 09:34

simplyS thanks you are too kind & always have great advice{hug} passport is expensive £80 because we need asap.

EHM · 10/05/2007 09:37

Better get myself on with some jobs...can't get motivated this week and it really shows - the house is looking really bad

EHM · 10/05/2007 09:38

shouldbe · 10/05/2007 09:40

Hello all Nice to see some new names since I was last here - the recent Flybashing seems to have done us some good. I've had a few days off with DH birthday/MIL visit.

Heard yesterday (after an eight week wait for a final judgment!) that we will be adopting the two year old girl we were matched with so I'll soon have three kids and too much housework!!

OK, to start:

  1. hang laundry, new load 2)tackle kitchen
  2. two phone calls 4)general tidy up
yaddayah · 10/05/2007 10:45

londonmamma Thats fantastic news
