Congratulations Londonmamma What a fantastic thing you are doing, we will be fostering at some point in the future, we are waiting for a contact court case to finish before starting on the long road, I can't wait to start though and I have a fantastic referee already and she waiting for me to go ahead and start.

tortoise · 10/05/2007 11:29

Hi all.
Congrats LM. What fun you will have with another DC to care for.

DRs went ok. Basic advice is just to stick to a low fat diet unless attacks get more frequent and severe!! Aparently i have multiple Gall stones and an odd gall bladder! He didn't really say what that means just that lots of people do!

DD's and i have had out dose of medicine for the worms! DS's will have theirs later. Playschool said keep dd1 home today!

I never leave gaps in email addy. Not had any probs from it afaik.

Hello All

I've not been around for the most of the morning, but I've done the basics

Sorry I haven't managed to catch up on the thread, DD2 is comming down with this temperature bug . Ds had it for a good week, so I'm hoping she doesn't have it for so long. I have a very moany 21 month old.

Well going to hoover, as the place always looks so much better once that is done.

EHM · 10/05/2007 14:10

Afternoon All

DH has just left to get train to London to get dd's passport. Ellie & I aren't really up for the journey today. Thankfully before I signed the form we checked with passport office & they said either parent can attend appointment & ellie doesn't have too.

olivebranch wow thats some school run, no wonder you feel jaded
GlitterF very sorry I missed you from my earlier post
shouldbeA childs passport costs £45 & lasts 5 years. I think this is a scandle given that Ellie will change many times during the next 5 years.(not sure if we have to change photo) We had to pay an extra £35 because we need it back no later than next Friday. Going on holiday 21st for 1 week. So we paid extra for the fast track service which guarantees it to be received within 1 week. We also had to pay a photographer to take her photo as they can be a bit sniffy about photosAnother {hug} for all the driving you have to do today{hug}
londonmama wow, congratulations..how wonderful.
stacey good luck with that list..I am knackered just reading it.
rollon Hi & thanks. Is your dh still here or has he gone to Basra?(sorry for being nosey I think of you both each day when there is mention on the news of basra. My dh also asks)
aufish I admire both yourself & Londonmama for fostering & adopting. what wonderful ladies.
tort worms hope they go soon.I can remember having them as a kid
luda {{{{hugs}}}} sorry lo's are poorly hope all is well soon.

Right off to desnot & take ellie out for some fresh air before it starts raining again..x.x

tortoise · 10/05/2007 14:13

EHM I have been filling in forms for our 1st Passports. Hopefully then we will be able to visit my family in Turkey in the not to distant future! Not sure where all the birth certifictes are though . And i think i need full ones for the DC not just the basic ones i have.

EHM · 10/05/2007 14:16

tort I think its full ones too, but DH has taken both. As Ellie's not yet one we still had both. I know when I got married I needed my full birth certificate. I had to get a copy from the register office where my mum registered my birth. I do hope that you get to take a trip to turkey to visit your family you certainly deserve it. Been to Turkey a few times very fond memories got engaged there.

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 10/05/2007 14:20

ok y housework had to be temporarily put on hold, phoned my old gas and electric supplier to find out when my credit would be put in my bank account and they reckonned my final bill was £500+ have spent an hour on the phone to them and new supplier to realise their final reading was wrong and should be nowhere near that high, seeing as the reading now is less than the one they have!! hopefully it should now all be sorted but aaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhh i hate all this grown up stuff, some days i wish i was still at my mums, i never had to deal with any of this!!!!!!

tortoise · 10/05/2007 14:20

Thanks EHM. I hope so too! Am very scared though. I have never flown on a plane (been on helicopter!) and the thought of taking 4 kids on my own to a strange place is terrifying!

rollonsummerholidays · 10/05/2007 14:22

Thanks EHM he leaves on 20th of May 2 days after d/d 6th birthday so. He has been away during the week training and went back on bank holiday. but is back tomorrow.Off this monday and so am i and girls are one at school other at nursery. Really looking forward to our day together. This is the worst part for me he is away but not away properly iykwim . Once he is away the countdown is on till he is home safe and sound please God. It's hard work as we are trying to be all cheery and chin up basically not argue before he goes so it's false so hard. Hey I am not the only forces wife will just have to get on with it.
