Well, I'm up and starting this off for the day, though will not be doing much today as I have a good friend over for most of the day. So just the basics for me today. Happy Flying ladies!

OP posts:
Londonmamma · 24/04/2007 15:31

Thanks all. I've got my parents visiting now so will be off for a while. Have a nice afternoon xx

tortoise · 24/04/2007 15:35

Hello.
Back for picking DD1 up from pre-school.

I do washing as and when. Not got a system yet. Probably should have but its working ok at the moment with all the dry weather.

Wish i could join in a meet up. Always too far from me!

EHM · 24/04/2007 15:49

tort we will have to have one nearer to you for fly ladies

tortoise · 24/04/2007 15:52

Good idea (i think! [scared emoticon!])!

NineUnlikelyTales · 24/04/2007 16:06

Hi Everyone

I have my MIL here today (who is lovely) so I have already cleaned the house and bought fruit and veg from the market.

These bedroom missions aren't much use to me as I keep the bedroom really clean and tidy because of DH asthma.

Sorry I don't have time to say hello individually to everyone or read the thread properly but..

Jelley You are good in the bedroom?
Aufish Hope you enjoy your day with your friend
Hi Mhamai, hope your essays are going well?
Grouchy and EHM Excellent lists, most impressive!

Have a good day lovely ladies

glitterfairy · 24/04/2007 16:14

Oh Yaddah take it easy!

Glad to see the other thread seems to have died a little it is silly there are far better things to attack like gun laws in America for example.

Have done the washing up now and sorted the washing. Am off to do the ballet and collection run now before I make some lentil bolognese! Need to do some shopping as well as I have run out of washing up liquid!!!!

MoreSpamThanGlam · 24/04/2007 16:15

Erm, sorry..can i just ask? fly?

Is it just one task? or as many in a set time or...what?

I need motivating.

grouchyoscar · 24/04/2007 16:19

Glitter I was thinking that myself and TBH why think we FLYers are lacking a life when all you've got to do is complain about is ....FLYing?

I think I may have killed it off, I'm the last post

I've put all the washing away in tthe cupboards and emptied the bathroom bin. Just DS's tea/dinner to do now

grouchyoscar · 24/04/2007 16:23

Welcome Morespamthanglam

I think I will leave it to the more seasoned FLYer's to explain the concept. I don't do it to the letter but it has helped me no end.

Just take the bits you like and run with that.

tortoise · 24/04/2007 16:39

Welcome MoreSpamThanGlam.
For me its more about this thread than actual flying. If i can't get motivated there is often someone here to kick me off my chair!
Daily mission is often good too (sometime utter codswallop too!).

rollonsummerholidays · 24/04/2007 16:52

hi morespamthanglam best piece of advice i got from here is concerning flying buy a timer and set it for 15 minutes top and move on to something else and back again otherwise you just get bogged down with all the things you find and it takes ages.

one of these days i will be all organised. yaddah are you sure you are on beechams ?

rollonsummerholidays · 24/04/2007 16:53

thanks for recipe ludaloo have no spring onion. dont think kids would like curry very boring here

Jelley · 24/04/2007 17:41

morespamthanglam If you want to do Flylady, then start with \link{http://www.flylady.com/pages/begin_babysteps.asp/babysteps}. If you sign up for the emails you get about 20 a day telling you what to do (all on US time) Not surprisingly we have (I think) all stopped them!
Fly lady breaks your house into zones and more of us roughly follow these. We link to the mission at the start of each thread.

I do very little of the FLY stuff now, but use a timer, and have a rough routine written down. Like tortoise and many others I use this thread for motivation, support and friendship, and it is great

MoreSpamThanGlam · 24/04/2007 18:10

Well, considering I am just coming through a black cloud of PND I think I have done well today...

Washed kitchen, playroom lounge hall downstairs loo and conservatory floors.
Hoovered stairs and upstairs
Wiped round my bathroom
Proper cleaned family bathroom
Dusted all 3 bedrooms
Changed ds bed
done 2 lots of school runs on foot, 1 by car
Shopped for swimming goggles
4 lots of laundry
fed and watered 6 month old
snuggled 6 month old
Helped write poem with 12yr old for english assignment
Ate choc pud for lunch

Am now going to get dh to take us all out for dinner as am bloody knackered!

Off to feed and bath 6 month old, and attempt to brusj hair before dh gets in.

As for the other thread going on about how sad you all are, i think you all sound very happy actually and she sounds very sad and critical. Can I stay in this thread please?

tortoise · 24/04/2007 18:14

Well done Morespam. Great list. I love the 'snuggled 6 month old' line.
You are more than welcome to stay.

Meeting with woman from CAFFCASS went fine. Its all over!

Jelley · 24/04/2007 18:16

Well done spam You've done tons!

All the slag off Fly threads do is introduce more FLYbabies to this thread Always room for one more.

yaddah Can I have some of whatever you're on today please?

Can anyone suggest a cold sore remedy? I have had 3 for a week now. My friend thought I had been beaten up when she saw me this week
