Well, I'm up and starting this off for the day, though will not be doing much today as I have a good friend over for most of the day. So just the basics for me today. Happy Flying ladies!

OP posts:

gf Thanks. Sounds very positive. I would rather not have an op as i have no-one who can have the dc!

I think i will have to take them with me. I really can't think of anyone to have them. They make a good distraction too! I am guessing the scan won't take long to do?

rollonsummerholidays · 24/04/2007 13:46

grouchyoscar · 24/04/2007 13:49

Hang up wet washing
Make DS some anti nit spritz (tea tree and witch hazel)
Check DS for 'pets'
Sort out his uniform for tomorrow.

Put clean and dry washing in cupboards

Why am I so tired? I've had all my meds.

Chicken Fried rice sounds good... we may have that tonight too.....

yaddayah · 24/04/2007 13:50

i'd say go for
chicken curry (sag type?)

can you tell i'm feeling better.. just had another beechums

shouldbe · 24/04/2007 13:50

oh dear grouchy I am here

ludaloo · 24/04/2007 13:50

hmmmm.... dice the chicken...fry it with some spring onion (chopped). Meanwhile boil the rice...drain and add to frying pan. Add a couple of splashes of Soy Sauce. Fry until the rice dries a bit, and tans (would say browns...but it doesn't really brown)

You can add peas too but I don't like peas so I don't!
You can add peppers too...which is quite yummy

yaddayah · 24/04/2007 13:51

grouuchy look at your list ?

You haven't put sit down on it

Do that one NOW

shouldbe · 24/04/2007 13:52

yaddayah · 24/04/2007 13:53

I appauld luda, Glitter & grouchy I know I certainly couldn't have expressed my feelings & thoughts aswell as you 3 on this anti fly thread. I too are very grateful for the support & kindess given by all you ladies on this thread..x.x.

EHM · 24/04/2007 14:38

yadd are you high on flu powders

Londonmamma · 24/04/2007 14:41

I felt quite moved reading all your your observations about why you do Fly We might get a few converts!

Tortoise - thinking of you. Good luck.
EHM - I'm undecided about the picnic because I rather like being anonymous. I'm 50:50 at the moment...

My next jobs:
1)clear up from lunch, 2)DW 3)DS2's room (re-invasion of the lego men) 4)more clothes to put away..

A question

Has anyone found a good way to tackle laundry? Do you have a washing day, like in the old days or do you do it as and when? I seem to wash every day, one load, because that's all I can be bothered with, but I think it's very inefficient!

yaddayah · 24/04/2007 14:42

as a kite ehm

wheeeeeeeeee

grouchyoscar · 24/04/2007 14:45

Londonmamma Laundry is a pain in the bum. I think you'll find most people do a load a day. it's all I can get dry within 48 hrs tbh.

It's just something that has to be done/managed everyday really

so any tips anyone else?

Jelley · 24/04/2007 14:47

Fly lady told us to do a load a day a while back.

I do more than that, but there are 5 of us, and we always seem to have loads to do.

Also Done
Ironed
salted, loaded, run & emptied dw
4 loads of washing in wm & hung out on line
snack & lunch dd
MN time very little today

To Do
lunch me (will do that shortly whilst ellie is still napping)

buy birthday present for SIL

dr's appointment for me 540
pick up holiday brochures as per dh's instruction

EHM · 24/04/2007 14:58

londonmama I try to wash every other day to keep on top of washing/ironing. There are only 3 of us, but majority of washing is Ellie's. Its much easier at moment as I can get loads done, out & dried in one day.
