I really need to go to bed earlier, as ds is back to getting up at 5am

Hi Luda, I had a feeling you were another May birthday! Aren't we as taureans supposed to like home-building?...not sure why I think that but seem to remember reading it somewhere once .
I counted the hall in my 11 rooms...could count the stairs/landing too and make it 12
Your friends sound great for helping with the car - where can I get me some friends like that?!
Have a great day

shouldbe · 15/04/2007 07:50

lol x-posts Luda great minds.....

SimplySparkling · 15/04/2007 07:50

Morning all.

I had a quick count up the other day, too, shouldbe. 4 b/r, bathroom, ensuite, kitchen, utility room, downstairs loo, living room, dining room, sitting room, conservatory. No wonder I find it hard to keep up with it all!

EHM I can't wait to hear shouldbe's expanation if she carries out my suggestion and gets caught doing it! The food at your house sounds lovely. You could come here and cook for me!

I can hear dd getting up so I'm off. I hope to clear the ironing pile today and put it all away. That's my one job today. Anything else will be a bonus.

shouldbe · 15/04/2007 07:52

Simply I have allocated the cutlery draw as the place you'll all be hiding in today so will be opening it often and giving you all a

SimplySparkling · 15/04/2007 07:52

No, no, April birthdays are best! Aries!

ludaloo · 15/04/2007 07:53

oh....forgot to add...I'll be 31 next month.....DH will be 34...and you are all soooooo right....time really does FLY. I cannot believe I have been alive for 31 years!! and my eldest will be 6 this year, my middle one will be 4 and my baby will be 2!!!! It only seems like yesterday I took my first little bundle of snuffly stuff home!! DH and I must have spent at least 3 days just staring at her!! Now she is a burly 6 year old with wobbly teeth and an attitude!!!

SimplySparkling · 15/04/2007 07:53
shouldbe · 15/04/2007 07:55

Can't deny April birthdays are good too simply (dd is an April birthday)...but she's at the end of the month so is taurean like me (may be the reason we clash sometimes ) Has your special day passed already or coming up? - Happy Birthday for whenever it falls

ludaloo · 15/04/2007 08:01

simply you are funny! I can just imagine us all crammed into shouldbe's kitchen drawer!!! (I must be a bit nutty too to be able to imagine it!!!) All lying there with big grins on our faces!! LOL!!!!

ludaloo · 15/04/2007 08:02

shouldbe the cutlery drawer??? OOOCCCCHH...Bagsy I get the spoon section

shouldbe · 15/04/2007 08:09

Lol Luda...we must be strange bunch - I really can picture a few FLYfriends supporting me from the drawer
I only have a cutlery drawer or the kids plate/bowl drawer, would that be more comfy?...I'll move you into there...

ludaloo · 15/04/2007 08:19

...oooh yes, a nice bowl to curl up in...much better

SimplySparkling · 15/04/2007 08:25

I've had brekkie so have popped back on for a mo.

shouldbe Thanks, yes, my b/d was during the hols. Oh, dear, what have I started? I can picture luda being in a big bowl, trying to fit in those long legs! Good thinking luda to bagsy the spoon section if we were in the cutlery drawer. Why didn't I think of that!

EHM · 15/04/2007 08:26

wow posting frenzy i am dizzy
luda I think this is a sign, us all having birthdays very close to eat other.
shouldbe Room 11 Even more so impressed with your flying now. Joint bday celebration for me, you, luda?
simplyS I would love to come & cook for you. You best ask Ellie first what she thinks of the food. I am cooking for her, cheese sauce from scratchYou do make me giggle.

Right I am off to change what sounds like a very dirty nappy Not mine of course.

EHM · 15/04/2007 08:27

oops..should say birthdays very close to each other, not eat other

EHM · 15/04/2007 08:29

I much prefer a kitchen cupboard than a draw

shouldbe · 15/04/2007 08:36

For goodness sake! Alright, EHM you can have a cupboard...which contents do you prefer to share with tea and coffee, tinned food, cereals, plates?
Luda you're comfy where you are right? And Simply, any preferences??

Nutters the lot of you

ludaloo · 15/04/2007 08:38

simply HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! (you kept that quiet!!) Hope you had a good one
Thanks for the long legs comment!! You have to be the FIRST person in history to say my legs are long!!! (I'm 5ft 4")But I LOVE the thought!!

ludaloo · 15/04/2007 08:40

shouldbe LOLOLOLOL!!! You are going to be dashing round your kitchen like a loon opening all the drawers and cupboards LOLOLOL!! Your PIL might think you need help!!! LOL!! They'll be sneaking DH out for his own safety

Londonmamma · 15/04/2007 08:50

Morning flyers
Shouldbe - enjoy some time with your DP when the in-laws take the kids out. Hope MIL visit is easier than you imagine - I always dread the in-laws then find they're not SO bad...

I've got to tackle DS2's bedroom now. More Lego than Hamleys, stuff belonging to other people shoved in his cupboards...Will be back to celebrate when that's finished!

ludaloo · 15/04/2007 08:54

good luck with the bedroom londonmama

I have been on here too long already this morning!! Better go and do some stuff

ludaloo · 15/04/2007 09:13

Ok...its list time...othewise I'm never going to do anything!!!

~D/W
~W/M
~Hang washing out
~Bail out both toilets to tackle Limescale I can't get the stains out the bottom of the toilets, and Anthea has suggested bailing the water out and scrubbing with Bicarb....LOVELY!!
~Hoover
~Tidy Kitchen
~Make rice crispie cakes

As I haven't done anything yet...I better get going

shouldbe · 15/04/2007 09:18

Isn't it Kim and Aggie who suggest leaving some cola in the toilet to help get rid of limescale Luda? Might be worth a go...
I've been getting the kids up and now dh is giving them breakfast while I supposedly concentrate on getting the office/spare room cleared a little more (MIL wants to have a go on computer so it needs to be at least a little better than it is in here). Have the radio on and am making good progress (on the face of it anyway - lots going under the bed )

I'm not dreading the visit so much today - my mood is better generally so far so things don't feel so daunting

shouldbe · 15/04/2007 10:08

Right, office/spare room is as good as it's going to get for today, just got to run the hoover round the whole house now. Dh is just putting some of the stuff into the loft (a job way over-due!) and then he and both kids are off to the supermarket

Going to hoover, have a bath (dd bought me some soap in the shape of a heart yesterday ) then get lunch sorted

Jelley · 15/04/2007 10:35

Ok. I'm a bit of a saddo but i did the search...Early FLY threads are mostly Quootiepie and tortoise, but imo RubyRiocha is/was FLY queen

( Fly threads started on here about August last year, and I joined a couple of weeks later.)

I've done nothing except feed the kids andmn

I have a cold, and my nose is dripping

I will go and try and sort out the kitchen...
