Cleaning thread?

Do we have a daily cleaning thread running at the moment? I used to be on one a while ago which really helped me keep on top of all the housework so I'm wondering if anybody fancies starting it up again? We used to write a list of all chores that needed doing that day then tick them off as we did them. Seeing other people being productive spurred me on to get my jobs done instead of sitting playing on my phone instead. Is anybody up for that?

I'll be chuffed if i can get this all done today.

I think I'm taking the dc out for lunch today and probably nip into the park for an hour or so on our way back too.

I could have just said i cleaned the kitchen but i like to list it out so it makes me feel like i've done loads

I also put the bins and recycling out for collection first thing this morning which i forgot to list.

Generally just lurk but really pleased finally got whole house clean and done my daily clean:
tidy anything left out last night
Make bed
Wash load on
Hoover (every other day)
Kitchen and bathroom whiz over

And every day I've done a 'hotspot'
Kitchen window sill
Dressing table cleared cleaned and relaid
French doors cleaned
Woodburner polished

More importantly I'm now sitting crocheting in a tidy house.

I finished everything yesterday other than clean washing away...seems to have taken forever to dry!
So today:
Put clean washing away done
Put clean towels away
Walk dog 🐶 about to walk out of door
Cook tea (all prepared yesterday)
And infinity you have inspired me! Dh is out this eve so I will sort kitchen windowsill.
Short list today as dd2 has a rash and diarrhoea so I've been the doctors with her (just a virus!) so that took almost all morning!

Hi, sounds like you've all had productive days. Since posting this morning I've been waxed, been to the shops and not only arranged my tattoo but I've had it done! I love it! Bloody hurt though...

I'll make tea in a minute and then make a start on the other jobs on my list.

I'd love a tattoo Kim but I'm not brave enough!

• Hoover throughout downstairs
• dust bedrooms
• iron work clothes and dd3's nursery clothes ready for Friday
• clean my bedroom windowsill from cats going in and out of the house (it's full of muddy cat paw prints)
• fold and put away clean washing
• ring to get ds' national insurance number as he's now 16 but we've never received it
• give meter readings to energy supplier

It's a good job dh is off tomorrow too, he can help with this list!

Exciting day tomorrow - ds gets his gcse results. Let's hope he's done well. His friend is staying over tonight so they can go and pick their results up in the morning.

Yesterday I managed to deep clean the kitchen, deep clean the bathroom and hoover through. I sort of knew it had to be done as we've got things on today and tomo. We are off to the cinema this afternoon, my sister in law and her lo's will be joining us too so only a small list today.

I've done everything today apart from wipe down kitchen cupboards which I will do! I have also made tea (just needs to go in oven) reloaded dishwasher and it just needs re emptying. Dh due home soon so should be able to do those then. I've also got 2 loads of washing...1 in so far. Thought as all wash baskets empty yesterday i didn't need to do any. Should know better!
Wow that's a busy day Kim! Hope your tattoo isn't itching the hell out of you. I'd love another but I can't be bothered with the aftercare!

You've got quite a bit done today too will from the looks of it. My evening list is done apart from flea treating the cats, they're nowhere to be seen but I have the treatment next to me for when they wander in.

My tattoo isn't itchy at all, it honestly feels like I haven't had anything done, I can just feel the outline is slightly raised against my skin and that's it. I have to force myself to remember to put cream on it.

Anyway, tomorrow's list:

• washing (think there's only one load)
• tidy beds
• load dishwasher and switch on
• fold and put away clean washing
• hand wash non dishwasher stuff
• walk round to Boots for mascara, shampoo and razors (have to put the list here or else I'll forget what I want by tomorrow)

Dh is cooking tea so that's one less job and Friday afternoons I have standing arrangements (eat cake and drink wine later!) so need to be done by 2pm.

I would love cake and wine on Fridays - I work Friday afternoons though and don't think it'd go down well if I cracked open a bottle in the office 😂

I managed to treat the cats so today's list was fully completed.

Dh also does tea for him and the dc on Fridays as I'm out til 6.45 ish so I just need to sort myself out when I get in, it's the same on Mondays too, I love not having to cook for everyone on those days!

Morning Beaver, that's one huge list! I hope you manage to get through it all.

My list is all done, one load of washing has been hung out to dry, the second load is in the washer, I'll stick it in the dryer before I leave for work. I've also hoovered the kitchen and cleaned out the soap dispenser tray thingy on the washing machine as it was looking a bit manky. I can relax for an hour now before setting off to work.

This evening's list:

• unload and re-load dishwasher
• make myself tea and clean up afterwards
• fold and put away dry washing
• bath 3 year old who will be filthy after nursery

Nice, easy day today thankfully.

Well done everyone on their productivity! I however have made the cake, burnt the cake (more mix than I usually use) and then remade the cake. I did however clear out my baking cupboard before I had a meltdown. Then I drank wine. So nothing else has happened!
