Hi all

glitter hope your enjoyed getting your hair done, Good on you for starting the exercise thing I've just started again .. am entered into the race for life in June and i'm soooo unfit so I was on the treadmill this morning at 6.30am as its the only time i can really have time to myself except for the evening and i'm too worn out by then !)

Well i've been sorting stuff out .. have "organised" dd's little birthday party, have been soooo lazy and ordered pre packed party bags and a ready wrapped pass the parcel Please don't shout (or tell my dh !!)

House is pretty tidy, MIL dropped in for a coffee (think this might be a regular thing from now on)

Brother is over soon so got to think of something to feed him

Just got the ironing to do (again)

Arghhhhhh

yaddayah · 29/03/2007 15:53

shouldbe · 29/03/2007 15:54

We're home from school - I had dd coming out of school tired and crying cos her book bag was too heavy and ds rolling in the mud outside the school, crying cos he wanted to watch cbeebies NOW! I went promptly to the shop and bought choccy buscuits - cbeebies is on and I have retreated upstairs with a cup of tea and a stack of buscuits...supper soon and an early night for all

glitterfairy · 29/03/2007 16:23

My hair looks beautiful and my house looks bombed! Am going to sort it as soon as I have taken them all swimming. Needless to say this is one bit of exercise I am opting out of. Having a day of rest today but am taking work to do by the pool side.

Thanks everyone for being impressed it means a lot especially when I have so much to lose! I have lost 2 stone and 2 lbs so far though in eight weeks.

shouldbe · 29/03/2007 16:25

Fantastic GF

Hello All and a big Hi to newbies

Yesterday I ended up doing my twice yearly garden maintenance. This time it was cleaning garden furniture and outdoor toys and redistributing gravel from the bottom to the top of the slope. That on top of my usual FLYing. Unable to post yesterday as DS had total control of the PC [hmmm}

And today... My fellow fly ladies, I have done very little. Rested up and taken it easy.

My Meds seem to be working and I'm feeling a hell of a lot better than I was 10 days ago. I think I'm getting back on top of things at last.

BIG GROUCHY HUGS AND THANKS to all you ladies who have helped me through the past few weeks

tortoise · 29/03/2007 16:55

Wow well done Glitter.
Thats what i need to do! Then i would be about the right weight!

EHM · 29/03/2007 17:09

Sorry GO didnt see your post. Took a while to post mine because DD's were in the bath!

Glad you are feeling a bit more on top of things now and meds working.

ludaloo · 29/03/2007 17:33

GF well done you! Thats good going!

Grouchy glad to hear you are well and rested ....I need to give the garden some attention too

EHM Hope you have a good weekend with your visitors...and hope poor little Ellie gets better soon...well done today, your list is really very good

I have just got back from DD1's parents evening....all good (phew)considering the trouble we've been having lately. Her teacher thinks she might be being influenced by a bit of a trouble maker, who she seems to have become friendly with Her work is all very good though, and is very forward for her age

Right, I had better go and sort some dinner out...DD1 has just let half the neighbour hood in.......and left the door wide open

EHM · 29/03/2007 17:50

Thanks luda you have a good weekend too I am of to make DT choc cake.

Thank you everyone for your congratulations I have gone down three dress sizes which is great and feel like a different person.

I have worked really hard on my exercise and done one week on Beetys juice only diet but have cut out all dairy, wheat, red meat and alcohol since January. Actuallly it feels like the easiest diet ever and I intend to keep it up. I think that is because if I cant eat those things then everything else falls into place in a really healthy diet. I have had the odd bit of dark chocolate and cheese once or twice but that is all.

I will know how my fitness has improved on Saturday when I have my second fitness test. I get my pulse measured and general level of fitness over a 2.4 mile walk. Last time I did it in 45 minutes and it was really hard work but I know it will be different on Saturday.

ruby{hug}

PIL arrival has been delayed they mixed up time of flights. I have had a nightmare with DT choc cake. Ready to put in oven & I dropped the feckin cake tin onto the open oven door Half mixture went into the oven it took me nearly 45 minutes to clean up the feckin mess. Please don't laugh at me, I will probably laugh tomorrow but I was so fustrated that I burst into tears Sorry to say feckin but I am so angry with myself. So I haven't sat down since my last post on MN. DH bathed Ellie she was so upset during & after bath. Right I am off to sit down so I look relaxed when dh brings in PIL which should be any minute now. Any comments from them & I am sure I'll commit a crime.
Catch up with you all in a couple of days much love fly friends..x.x

EHM · 29/03/2007 20:32

Thanks tort, actually I am grinning now only I could do something like that Hope your dd enjoys her new bed when it arrives tomorrow.

OP posts:
tortoise · 29/03/2007 20:34

Glad you're grinning already.
Thanks,i am sure she will love it! Hope i can put it together ok!

yaddayah · 29/03/2007 21:05

hugs ruby
ehm thats the sort of thing i'd do as well
glitter Well done it sounds similar to what i did, i lost 3 stone last year (2 lots of baby weight and a LOT of chocolate) have put on half a stone and gone up a dress size in just the past 2 weeks due to stress induced comfort drinking (!) so i REALLY need to get back to my normal routine

Just finished the ironing .. off to watch tv (avoiding temptation to have a glass of wine ... i could murder one at the moment )

Night all

tortoise · 29/03/2007 21:13

Ive had a bourbon biscuit binge. Scoffed 8 of the damn things.

Well done Yadda.

glitterfairy · 29/03/2007 22:10

LOl Tort ate some cheese tonight as am feeling very hungry today for some reason!

EHM I am so sorry I would have cried as well.

tort I eat a lot of veg and have a juice for breakfast every day and sometimes lunch as well. Sometimes I make up the juice with left over fruit and a bit of soy yoghurt and sometimes I follow one I like eg carrots, apples, ginger and one orange. SOmetimes I ahve soup for lunch whihc is usually veg soup of some description then fish/chicken/tofu or veg for tea with veg or wild rice.

I am trying not to eat carbs after 6pm if at all.

I also eat seeds and nuts sometimes for snacks and a little dried fruit as a snack.

glitterfairy · 29/03/2007 22:12

yada well done and dont let it slip (friendly nudge). I have lost this weight so many times now I must have lost my body weight three times over. When I think like that it makes me carry on as otherwise it is all so futile!
