Today's Mission

OP posts:
ludaloo · 21/03/2007 07:34

Morning Everyone

I just wanted to start the day by saying...

{{{{BIGHUGS}}}} to those who need them, and I hope poorlies are feeling better today.

I actually managed to not fall asleep whilst lying with my littlest last night
So I managed to do all the packed lunches...and the D/W and get DD1's swim kit together, last night...It is soooo much nicer to wake up and not have to rush!

Back later with a list of some sorts

Have a good day all

Ds is meant to be going on a class trip to the local woods to look for the 1st signs of spring ... we've got frost and a bit of snow !!!

Off for a cup of tea to warm up .. forgot to reset timer on the heating so its * freezing !!

Jelley · 21/03/2007 07:47

Morning,

A busy day lined up here so I may not get much done at home. I made tonights tea yesterday though, so that is good.

I left the sink full of washing up last night though and wet washing in the machine I've done the washing up, and will hang out the washing before I go out this morning.

Need to get dressed first though....

glitterfairy · 21/03/2007 07:58

AM really going to get to grips with my house today adn do some cooking as well. Will make my list later. Morning jelley, ludaloo, yaddayah and everyone. Havent been here much this week as am really busy adn will be away the next two days so must get things sorted today!

Upsadaisy · 21/03/2007 08:02

Morning all,

just about to do the school run and as I haven't had to shout, plead, demand and beg my dc's to get dressed this morning we seem to be ahead of time....their reward cartoons for ten minutes or so before we leave and mine is to actually drink the cup of tea I made.

Is it just me? flylady site is not coming up just saying can not find server.

Will do a list in little while my priority for today is to finish my assignment!!!!

yaddayah · 21/03/2007 08:05

mission is to check your sheets for holes (?)
i think kelly is getting a bit bored .. i'm sure she was raving about sorting shoes last month as well ?

mil popping over, just cleaned the loo.. am going to sort out a list later

keeping busy today !

shouldbedoingthehousework · 21/03/2007 08:29

Morning all

Dd is set to go back to school this morning and ds will be at pre-school till lunchtime so I am planning to lie on the sofa and watch TV all morning. I'm more poorly than I can remember being in years and am not sure how I'm going to function through the afternoon with small people to look after

I gave up tidying the office yesterday and dh and I have decided to ask the chap not to fit the blind in there today after all - dh will do it another day. There's no way I'm up to getting the room cleared and we're planning to re-decorate in here soon anyway so it'll only have to come down again for that. Hopefully the new blind for ds's room will go up though and then his room is complete

Hope all are well this morning - happy FLYing

Luda your cat story has made me lol!

staceym11 · 21/03/2007 08:45

morning all!!!

im not FLYing today (again)

h did the washing up for me last night, all i gotta do is some washing!!

i feel so cr*p, got period pains and woek up this morning and had pooed myself (hence the washing!!!) feel rubbish like i could curl up and do nothing!! but of course iv got the kids and cant do that!! wish i could get a day off sick!

JustIvor · 21/03/2007 08:53

I've skimmed through the thread. Hello to all.

I hope you feel better before this afternoon comes shouldbe.

Ds hasn't gone to school today. He only ate once yesterday so I think he needs today to complete his recovery from the lurgy before going back to school. I've got today off work again in order to look after him.

Done list:-
~ loaded d/w
~ cleaned sink
~ read through various bits of broadsheet w/e paper so that I can give it to the neighbours. Of course, I keep spotting interesting looking books in the paper and write them in my diary to order from the library, and good websites which I then check out, so it isn't a quick job!
~ checked e-mails

To do:-
~ get showered and dressed
~ tackle some part(s) of the house. I haven't decided what yet.
~ do a large food shop
~ look after ds
~ walk the dog

ludaloo · 21/03/2007 09:05

shouldbe {{{HUGS}}} for you It sounds awful hun! Get some rest while the kids are out...I hope it passes soon xxx

stacey Oh dear! Not a good morning by the sounds of it...I hope you are feeling better soon, and the pains go...try and rest up too xxx

Yaddah hope you are warmer now! Hope your ds enjoys his walk in the woods! Hopefully he'll still see plenty of signs of spring!(snow is pretty silly for this time of year though)

Jelley hope your busy day goes ok

GF Hello Good on you..hope your cleaning and cooking goes to plan...I can cook tonights tea early too as a friend is picking my DD1 up from school today...so I don't actually have to go out anywhere!

Upsa hope you have found the mission now...and good luck with the assignment...what's it on??

Ivor Hope your ds feels better soon..and your list looks good!

OP posts:
shouldbedoingthehousework · 21/03/2007 09:06

Thanks Ivor Hope your ds is better soon too. Can't wait for the weather to warm up and we'll hopefully all start to feel better and energised again....

Stacey - feel better soon {{{hugs}}}

Going to quickly make the beds, put some washing in the wm, switch on the dw and then the sofa and daytime telly will be my comfort for a couple of hours (or I may even just head back to bed...)

shouldbedoingthehousework · 21/03/2007 09:07

Thanks Luda too

See you all later x

staceym11 · 21/03/2007 09:10

shouldbe, hope you feel better soon too!!!

Countingthegreyhairs · 21/03/2007 09:24

Hello everyone. Sorry to hijack this thread but please can I ask a question? "How do you carry on flying when you have a sick child in the house?". I've been trying to fly for a while now but it's been the very worst term for illness and various lurgies. My nearly four-year-old dd has had so many viruses of late that she's been off school more than she has been attending. I'm feeling very despondent because I can never stick to the tasks listed in my control journal. I know flying means doing a little every day, but how do you manage when you keep getting interrupted?

staceym11 · 21/03/2007 09:27

i dont tend to fly when we are ill! thats how i manage, we slob when we are ill and then pick up the peices afterwards!

as i have been FLYing previously the devastation is far less IYSWIM!!

ludaloo · 21/03/2007 09:28

I would go to bed for a couple of hours shouldbe

I'm all excited!!!! Have ordered Ds a new bed, mattress and duvet cover.

DD2 can then have his old bed and move in with DD1 I can take the cot down then and have my bedroom back

Have ordered the girls matching duvet covers and DD2 a single duvet and pillow all of her own

Down-side.....have to clear out their bedrooms! More tidying!!

OP posts:
ludaloo · 21/03/2007 09:31

CGH I tend to do the bare minimum when we are all ill...If its one or all of the kids who are ill..and I'm ok, then I snuggle them up on the sofa and put a dvd on...then I FLY around them...stopping for frequent cuddles and drinks and tissues etc.etc.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 21/03/2007 09:34

Back feeling better.

GOT to fly.

Off to do dishes and shine sink

MadameSleepsLessAndLess · 21/03/2007 09:56

Morning All, lots of posts already. haven't read thread against the clock this morning. Ellie had her best night ever last night. Had late nap so went to bed at 9pm, stirred at 330, went back to sleep herself within a minute of me hearing her. 530 she was crying went through & she couldn't reach her dummy. Placed dummy in her hand she put back in her mouth & straight to sleep. Woke crying at 630 got up & by the time I walked from our room to her room she was asleep. Then she didn't wake until 755 A big thank you to the Baby Whisperer.(if you can hear me up there?)

~Tidy Ds's room

SIL is comming for the weekend, so she can have the airbed in Ds's empty room. It can stay empty then until his new bed arrives

OP posts:
ludaloo · 21/03/2007 10:51

Ok...kids books relocated to a shelf in Dd1's room.

Didn't dismantle the bookshelf...It was in better condition than I thought, so I've put it in the hall We can now get "our" books out of storage and actually have our own bookshelf! They have been in boxes under the bed for the last 2 years as we have had no where to put them really!! Oh it'll be great to have them all back out!! Encyclopedias and stuff. We have used the internet for most things as it is complete hastle to get boxes out and route through for certain books.

Countingthegreyhairs · 21/03/2007 11:14

Thanks Stacey (hope you are feeling better soon) and Ludaloo for replying. Will just 'hover' a bit today and get back to full flight when dd has recovered. Hope to log back in to your daily flying threads then if I may and be inspired by all your efforts!!
