Ugh!

OrmIrian · 01/03/2007 13:31

What? No! DS#2 would probably eat it......

Bloody hell, no!

Withdrawal of privileges until they learn to flush.

Ceolas · 01/03/2007 13:32

I was thinking about this as I was cleaning the loo yesterday.

We don't.

Is your water blue cod?

Fenella1 · 01/03/2007 13:34

I have just put a new one in my cistern. You get a choice of blue or green - how exciting

HuwEdwards · 01/03/2007 13:34

no, have never used them, the 'aroma' they give off is overpowering, still prob preferable to widdle tho.

HuwEdwards · 01/03/2007 13:35

and yes, a clip round the ear if they don't flush.

nooka · 01/03/2007 13:35

We use a cistern block with the least unpleasant smell I could find (just citrus) and no colour. Seems to work quite well. My ex used to favour rim blocks but a) I think they smell and look grim, and b) ds would probably have played with it (actually he probably still would now, except rather than eating it, it would proabbly have an interesting battle with something else he picked up just lying around...)

Ceolas · 01/03/2007 13:35

Oh and do you mean a cistern block or a rim block?

DarrellRivers · 01/03/2007 13:36

no
too naff
DH secretly wants them though

noddyholder · 01/03/2007 13:37

My ds never flushes his loo but it is his so I tend to go up there once a week and put some biological washing powder down it and that keeps it white.

Egypt · 01/03/2007 13:38

plumber told us never to use them. they rot something or other plumb-wise in the cistern after a while.....

Surfermum · 01/03/2007 13:38

No, I always forgot to buy them and replace them. I do a "swish and swipe" every morning as per Fly Lady's instructions. My loo has never been so clean.

NomDePlume · 01/03/2007 13:38

Nope, hate the things. Especially those frim ones that turn the water 'bloo'

NomDePlume · 01/03/2007 13:39

grim, not frim

fishie · 01/03/2007 13:40

dp cleans both loos every day so we do not need the blocks really anyway. i quite like the citrus one and the bubbles are pleasing.

Monkeytrousers · 01/03/2007 13:40

You can get domestos ones that don't colour the water - just drop them in the cystern. I don't think it's such a bad idea for no 1's especially - saves water!

Ceolas · 01/03/2007 13:40

swish and swipe???

Monkeytrousers · 01/03/2007 13:40

Well only for no 1's.

charlieq · 01/03/2007 13:40

nah
they look toxic

VeniVidiVickiQV · 01/03/2007 13:41

It would be doubly worse if you had one of those weird fluffy toilet collar mats around the loo, with matching fluffy toilet seat cover, as well as blue water.

hunkerdave · 01/03/2007 13:43

No. Plumbers don't like 'em. Well, they DO, because it means they get wedges of cash for fixing blocked loos when they fall off.
