Hmm
foxtrot · 01/03/2007 17:54

No. My mum did - until DS1 fished it out and started to eat it - no harmful effects thankfully, but after that i would never consider having one.

Blandmum · 01/03/2007 17:55

no.

I sometimes use the bleach ones that go in the cistern but not if they colour the water blue!

moondog · 01/03/2007 17:57

God theay are awful.
Nowt worse than chemical scents designed to mask the smell of piss.
Gimme the piss anyday.

Blandmum · 01/03/2007 17:58

I love the smell of bleach!

misdee · 01/03/2007 17:58

no to rim blocks and cistern blocks.

no to rim blocks as dd3 would eat it, no to cistern block as ours is all enclosed and a nightmare to get to.

i just give the loo a quick once over with a loo brush every other day (not fly lady, no bleach lol)

NomDePlume · 01/03/2007 17:59

Cod, my fishy friend, that is where you are wrong. The DSs bathroom loo is horrid, their aim is not the problem, it's the lazy shaking and subsequent sticky drips on the floor (tiles thank G, so easy to clean) that are so grim. No amount of rim blocks or cistern cubes will solve that

cod if you have a loo with a flush on top loo blocks can mess up you cystern, if you have a ball and flush its ok

DimpledThighs · 01/03/2007 18:59

if he is pissing under the loo seat ihnge how is a loo block helping?

I don't like them as I imagine them harbouring all kinds of pissy germs. I used to have one of those in cistern things but my sister mumbled something aboutht he environment so I just wipe round every so often.

I remember asking my dad for one when we were little and he said no because itpoison the dods as they drink out the loo.

DimpledThighs · 01/03/2007 19:00

'poison the dogs' (sorry typos catching!)

DimpledThighs · 01/03/2007 19:47

ooh look I killed the thread with dogs drinking from the loo.
