Slight zoflora addiction

Zoflorabore · 19/11/2016 02:48

Hi, I was on the last zoflora thread but can't seem to find it.

I've been shopping tonight ( Asda ) and bought a couple more bottles of winter morning as I do when I see them.
Came home, goes to cleaning cupboard and there is no room for said bottles, I have around 25 bottles of bloody Zoflo Blush

I need to restrain myself from buying and then get my arse in gear, have a massive winter clean and get rid of some of it.
Anyone else still loving theirs?

Would be interested to see how different people use it, I tend to put mine in mop bucket, use on sink and worktops and my favourite is skirting boards.
Oh and I was diagnosed with OCD last week, makes a lot of sense!!

That's awesome! I have all the pretty floral/bird microfiber cloths , drying clothes, peg bag and laundry basket from the 99p shop. I wanted the laundry apron for Christmas. I'm becoming my Mother!!!!

TheLionQueen · 01/01/2017 10:51

Curbside and Prancer I noticed yesterday! Is it sad that I was a little overwhelmed?!
I caved and bought winter spice a few days ago. I sniffed in the shop and didn't think I was keen but pressed on anyway, and it's much nicer diluted. My fav zoflora trick is still to put it in a sink of hot water as a kind of temporary reed diffuser- it smells lovely and cleans at the same time.
Still putting some in the washing with towels and work gear- Green Valley is current favourite- but I had to tumble my towels yesterday and the smell has gone Sad
I think I might try some diy tumble dryer sheets with it to help keep the smell in!
This thread had disappeared from my watch list but new year new start and all that jazz- I WILL sort my house out this year. We have decided to start ttc so that's a huge motivator!

magicstar1 · 01/01/2017 11:05

I'm in Ireland and had never heard of Zoflora until MN. I've bought my first bottle but don't know what to do with it yet.

CurbsideProphet · 01/01/2017 11:42

@TheLionQueen Of all the thousands of threads on Mumsnet every year it is definitely not sad to be overwhelmed that your thread has been given the big thumbs up from HQ! Sounds like exciting times to come Smile

My flat is a bit of a mess. Presents need homes, everywhere needs a hoover etc!

magicstar look for a thread in Housekeeping called My House /Zoflora, as there are lots of tips Smile

TheLionQueen · 03/01/2017 18:24

Hope you're getting to grips with your flat Curbside and glad to hear I'm not a total saddo Wink
Cleaning and tidying has unfortunately taken a back seat here as I need to get on with work. My kitchen floor is looking a bit worse for wear so I'll crack out the winter spice at some point and see if it's nice on that.
Although I now always use zoflo when washing my towels, can I ask how hot you wash yours? After tumbling and reusing just once they reeked of wet dog. I don't have a dog Confused

Kidnapped · 03/01/2017 18:30

I do towels at 60, LionQueen.

Might be the washing machine itself that is the source of the wet dog smell. It maybe needs a maintenance wash - 90 degrees with nothing in it.

Dailymaildailyfail · 03/01/2017 18:31

Got my first two bottles of Zoflora on the strength of this thread. Spent yesterday liberally dousing my flat with it! It's particularly nice in the washing machine, the fridge and also behind radiators so that when it gets warm the flat smells like a meadow!

TheLionQueen · 03/01/2017 19:00

Thanks Kidnapped
I only did them at 40 so that may be the issue
Washing machine is fairly new but now you mention it I've only done a maintenance wash once- I'll wash manky animal bedding then run one I think.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Zoflora daily! Fridge is a good idea, mines disgusting Blush

biscuitkumquat · 03/01/2017 19:09

Got my first 2 bottles today (£1 each from B&M), but I'm not sure whether to use the same one throughout the house, or to choose a different one for the bathroom.

Oh, decisions, decisions.....

Tastesjustlikecherrycola85 · 03/01/2017 20:53

Really want to try cherry blossom, does anyone know where you can get that one?

CurbsideProphet · 03/01/2017 21:29

I genuinely don't remember the last time we cleaned the fridge Blush

TheLionQueen · 03/01/2017 22:30

You'll be hooked now, biscuit. I like Springtime in the bathroom- anywhere else, anything goes!
I don't think I've ever seen cherry blossom cherrycola though I'm noticing a theme with your nn and request Grin
Curbside it's one of those jobs that I never think to do. Like washing the shower curtain, cleaning the wheely bin. I think sometimes I'm stuck in child mode and assume that a grown up will do it. Except I am the grown up!

MrsT2007 · 04/01/2017 18:07

I'm blaming you all for going back to Zoflora! My mum always used it, & so did I but i got distracted by gazillions of cleaners, forgetting a spray bottle and zoflora tackles almost every job!

I found a half used bottle of linen fresh but bought a huge bluebell woods in Wilko today and have slooshed out every surface in the bathroom and downstairs loo and sprayed whilst steam mopping too.

Feels lovely and clean, especially after the horror of packing Christmas things away and seeing how dirty the house is!

CurbsideProphet · 04/01/2017 21:57

TheLionQueen I think that my boyfriend and I put off jobs like cleaning the bin because we live in hope that a proper grown up will be along to do it for us...!

Between this thread and the decluttering thread I am completely inspired. MrsT what did you think of Bluebell Woods? I haven't tried that one yet. I like linen and have had the cinnamon-y ones like winter spice.

TheLionQueen · 05/01/2017 08:53

There's some jobs that are "grown up" and I think it's hard to make the connection they need doing sometimes!
I remember a poster on here a while ago who wanted tips on cleaning a bathroom as she'd never done it before, some people were pretty shocked but it's things like that I think are important to learn- everyone's got to start somewhere.
I've been lurking on the decluttering one and it is inspiring. I'm struggling with time to fit stuff in but I cleared out all the ancient half used toiletries we didn't like while chatting to DH as he showered yesterday, every little helps.

PrancerForHoney · 05/01/2017 16:16

I need to stock up on Winter Spice before it disappears. It's totally my favourite.
I have put some Green Apple in my shower squeezy cleaner thing and am about to do the bathroom walls with it.

MrsT2007 · 05/01/2017 16:24

The actual smell of bluebells is one of my favourites so I like it: it's like a milder hyacinth type fragrance.

I love the Rose one but can never find it....bouquet or lavender was always the choice of my mum.

I like the bouquet one. Didn't like the twilight garden though, was a bit heavy for me.

I'm not buying any more winter scents now, it's spring all the way here!!

Just about to try making a reed diffuser with Zoflora

CurbsideProphet · 05/01/2017 18:23

MrsT I love the idea of a zoflora reed diffuser! I need to use up winter spice, so I can get some more spring like ones Smile

Prancer I haven't seen green apple before, where have you bought that?

TheLionQueen I cleared out toiletries today! Some were thick with dust Blush

Gingernaut · 05/01/2017 20:06

Blush Blush Blush Blush Blush Blush Blush Blush

The plan was to stockpile enough Winter Morning for a year. One bottle a week as I use it for laundry as well as cleaning.

Apparently, I can't count to 52. I've got 57 stockpiled. Still, I've got enough for the year ahead and I can clean my bins too. Grin

Flipping heck ginger! I wouldn't have the space to store that- have you a dedicated zoflo cupboard?! My DH already thinks I'm batshit for having 7 5 flavours.
I like Springtime for the freshness but linen is still number one. I keep forgetting to go into wilko for a mega bottle.
Oh yes Curbside the dust was pretty disgusting actually. And I worked out that some were Xmas presents from 5 years ago (and some).
Friends round tonight so looking forward to getting my zoflo on today!

Gingernaut · 06/01/2017 09:13

I'm short. It's the top shelf of a high cupboard I need a ladder to get to.

Kidnapped · 06/01/2017 11:38

57 bottles of Zoflora.

I've got 4 and thought it was a bit much.

Gingernaut · 06/01/2017 12:31

57 identical bottles. I'm weirdly proud of that. And embarrassed.
