Slight zoflora addiction

Hi, I was on the last zoflora thread but can't seem to find it.

I've been shopping tonight ( Asda ) and bought a couple more bottles of winter morning as I do when I see them.
Came home, goes to cleaning cupboard and there is no room for said bottles, I have around 25 bottles of bloody Zoflo Blush

I need to restrain myself from buying and then get my arse in gear, have a massive winter clean and get rid of some of it.
Anyone else still loving theirs?

Would be interested to see how different people use it, I tend to put mine in mop bucket, use on sink and worktops and my favourite is skirting boards.
Oh and I was diagnosed with OCD last week, makes a lot of sense!!

I've been buying Winter Morning from Asda, it's not an especially large store, and Poundland and Home Bargains have some of the other LE Christmassy ones.

I use it in my steam mop instead of the Vax detergent that I used to buy. The smell last so much longer.

Katietwinmum · 11/12/2016 17:52

Loving the Zoflora chat! Bought Springtime this week - it's ok a bit chemically though. Orange and cranberry in the steam mop smells beautiful and lasts for ages. Green valley smells nice and clean in the bathroom and love rose as well. Can't decide about clean linen.

They all clean glass really well though! I was shocked how shiny stuff comes up.

TheLionQueen · 11/12/2016 17:53

Thanks for directing me here Prancer!
It sounds like the festivities are spurring everyone on- I haven't even dug my decorations out yet but I'm going to get some winter spice on the go (I wasn't keen when I sniffed the bottle but I'm sure it'll be different diluted) and hope it brings out my Christmas spirit.
Essentials vary between us MrsA but for me it's green valley, linen fresh and bouquet! I think winter spice does have cinnamon in- there's also cranberry and orange which is quite festive if you're not a fan!

PrancerForHoney · 11/12/2016 22:21

You're welcome TheLionQueen.

TheLionQueen · 14/12/2016 08:35

I'm changing tactics.
At the start of my previous thread I explained how I have a house full of messy creatures- me and DH included. Though things have changed a bit, and thanks to zoflo it's starting to smell much better, it's still messy and a bit grubby in places.
I drew a floor plan of our house yesterday and highlighted the 'danger zones' ie. Where it gets really cluttered or especially dirty.
This has helped focus my efforts.
I was also pondering what I was going to do at the house where I'm actually paid to clean today and thought, why don't I think about what I'd ask a cleaner to do at my house?
This is helping loads too and hopefully I'll be able to come up with a "cleaning plan" that I'll tackle once a week, with usual jobs and a little extra tidying, in preparation for my imaginary cleaner, done in between.
Wish me luck I'm gonna need it

PrancerForHoney · 14/12/2016 08:55

Ohhh. Well done.
I cleaned (Wink) the 99p shop out of Winter Spice yesterday. It's better than crack!

Squeee · 14/12/2016 20:09

I love me some Zoflora! Just found a country garden one. However where I live in the frozen north, varieties are rather limited.u unfortunately I've gone off the cranberry and orange one after the dog was sick a few weeks back. Nothing like the smell of poo and fruit 😰

CurbsideProphet · 14/12/2016 23:36

TheLionQueen I tackled the spare room, as I know it's a definite "danger zone" Blush though it's filling up again with random crap Angry

dandeloin · 15/12/2016 11:38

do you use zoflora neat to clean things or does it need to be diluted down, for cleaning things like skirting boards, sinks, etc? I have some but usually just pop a bit into the washing machine.... Thanks!

TheLionQueen · 15/12/2016 16:53

Well done Curbside it's all a start. I sorted a couple of shelving units out today whilst waiting in for a parcel. Though you can't see any difference from the outside, I know I've binned junk and made space for more other stuff.
dandelion I dilute it for wiping over surfaces/woodwork, only use in meat in the washer, where I suppose it's diluted anyway.
The sink I wouldn't worry about diluting it fully as presumably it will be rinsed down at some point.
My favourite sink cleaning tip is to run a bowl full of hot water, add Zoflora and your dish cloths and leave for a bit. Then tip it down and rinse cloths. Makes the room smell nice, cleans the sink and disinfects the cloths with minimal effort!
Squee I've gone off bouquet a bit after cleaning up sick with it..

PrancerForHoney · 16/12/2016 07:50

It's my birthday today and I've just set fire to the cooker . Damned tea towels on glass hobs. Ive filled a bowl with Zoflora and it's really lifted the smell away. A couple of weeks ago I set the chimney on fire and did the same. So it goes to show Zoflora is the best smell remover ever! Now how do I stop being an accidental arsonist!

TheLionQueen · 16/12/2016 10:53

Happy birthday Prancer! FlowersCake we need a [Zoflora]
It is a brilliant odour eliminator! I'm going to test it on the living rooms floor later.
Maybe stay away from sources of ignition for the day?!

CurbsideProphet · 16/12/2016 13:23

Hapoy Birthday Prancer ! Hopefully no more accidental fires Xmas Grin

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 21/12/2016 13:54

Just bought every pot of Winter Spice I could find in a Home Bargains and some Lavender to try with bed sheets. I will miss Winter Spice Blush

PrancerForHoney · 23/12/2016 14:54

OMG. I have been cleaning the kitchen under sink cupboard out and look what I found. Blush

Zoflorabore · 23/12/2016 22:33

Wow! That's an impressive collection :)

Mine is possibly similar though less varied as I tend to stick to my favourites.

Tomorrow is my big Christmas Eve clean and I will get through tons of zoflo.

New Years resolution is to try every single one.
Am addicted to winter spice and winter morning.
Us lot are keeping zoflo in business Grin

I'm sure it's against every kind of social etiquette, but does anyone else open them in store to sneak a sniff before choosing a which to buy? I'm glad I did as Hyacinth was sickly - would have been disappointed to switch one of my Winter Spice from my basket had i not sniffed it first!

gincamelbak · 24/12/2016 01:04

I sniffed and didn't buy in our local co-op. Didn't like the smells of the ones in stock there. But I made DH buy some and he came back from the shops with Winter Morning.

Tried it for the first time today and I love the smell. And it cleaned the sink and floors beautifully. House smells lovely.

Hello Zoflora. I had no idea I needed you in my life until today.

CurbsideProphet · 30/12/2016 19:20

@TheLionQueen. have you seen that your original My House / Zoflora thread is one of Mumsnet's "threads of the year"? Grin

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 31/12/2016 10:21

Newbie to Zoflo here!

Does anyone find that certain fragrances get "tainted" for them?

My first try was Twilight garden which is lovely.

But using to sanitise the house after a bout of norovirus, and subsequently mopping up after a visiting incontinent pet means that I kn now associate Twilight Garden with UGH!

Luckily I have moved on to Winter Spice , and Cranberry Orange.

What's a good price to pay, and who stocks big bottles?

PrancerForHoney · 31/12/2016 11:33

"Curbside" I just came on to say the same thing!
Well it's Hogmanay here so I'm cleaning the house in readiness with my impressive collection of Winter Spice.

PrancerForHoney · 31/12/2016 11:35

BreakfastAtSquiffanys
Yes! Lavender ever since I used it to clean up liquid diarrhoea from the cat.

PrancerForHoney · 31/12/2016 11:36

Also, Wilkinsons do big bottles. Mine atm have Bluebell Wood for £2.00.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 31/12/2016 11:37

Just wanted to share what DH got me for Xmas ...

I'm most impressed as the cloths to go with them and the pretty box. He does listen to me!

Your DH is a total legend. A prince among men.

I have been zofloing the entire house this morning. I am rather hoping that some unexpected visitors turn up and gasp at my housekeeping skills.
