Hi all!

Welcome to a brand new month in which we (in a very casual way) follow the FlyLady method to try and banish CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome), and to declutter in order to remove an excess of STUFF (Something That Undermines Family Fun).

A daily BabyStep, plus missions, daily focuses and weekly zones break our time into manageable chunks - all helped by lots of supportive chat and a Naughty Corner stocked with goodies.

All welcome!

Evening all!
Not quite the same as we have a 3 tier system here but have also just applied for ds1 to go to upper school. We have a choice of 1 and luckily we are happy with that. So I'll also be waiting around on 1st march with you guys for the results.

Stilllivinginazoo · 02/11/2016 18:31

Hello zoo Smile

Cagliostro · 02/11/2016 22:01

Reptile handling was AMAZING! DD and I are even more desperate for a pet lizard now though. Or a snake. DS on the other hand spent part of the session under a chair/walking around the other end of the hall. Not upset, just preferred to be away from it as he didn't want to go near them!

Had a really lovely afternoon but brain fog bit me totally in the bum as I forgot to rearrange a lesson :( feeling like a total idiot and I'm so embarrassed even though the dad was really understanding about being kept waiting.

I am sooooo tired. Will be back for links etc later.

These things happen Cag! Seems like it's all sorted anyway.
No secondary school applications here but oldest DS has just submitted his UCAS application this week.
Have managed laundry today and did some cleaning in the hall. Back to dining room decluttering tomorrow hopefully.

Cagliostro · 03/11/2016 01:29

Thank you From I think I was more annoyed at myself than the family were at me!

Feeling a big flare up coming, SO achy this evening, have realised that it is definitely cold that does this to me. If I get too cold, like I did today at the park (had a coat but should've had extra layers under it) I always get ill after. Ugh.

Quick links as I am knackered:

Babystep 3 for Thursday is just doing what we've already done - so shining sink and getting dressed to shoes.

Mission is cleaning walls and windows in zone 1

Thursday is errand day, so... do stuff you need to do!

Night x

Not exactly flown at all today and my back has just done a series of clunks and clicks which is my warning to take it very easy or else I wont be at all comfortable tomorrow.

Shopping at the brand spanking new Aldi store that just opened in the nearby town. (which was why I needed to have the breakfast - I think the entire county may have shopped there today)

Shannaratiger · 04/11/2016 07:04

Morning all

Ta Da's for this week Blush
Sorted out junk box
Sorted cupboard under the stairs - threw out old boxes and about 60 assorted bags, why do I always keep them!? Hmm

To Do
Catch up on planned dusting, hoovering and floor mopping that didn't get done due to sudden unplanned declutter.
Tomorrow DH and DS can make a start on the shredding - they love it and I hate it!!

Oops 7am, need to make sure Dd is getting ready.
DS is under his covers watching YouTube which really calms him down in the morning, I know very bad parenting but works for us!

Have a good day, have caught up on thread but forgotten most of it. Might get back on later and do some reply's. Wink

NickNacks · 04/11/2016 07:39

Morning.

Friday is the day I can get everything done since I don't work and my own dc are all at school now.

However instead I am nursing a hangover. So comfy chair in the naughty corner for me. Brew

Bbl for a proper catch up I hope.

Newchick · 04/11/2016 08:04

Hello folks - joining the thread for some much needed support and accountability to actually DO some bloody cleaning occasionally in my house. I've done Flylady many years ago when the children were little and found it really helped, but I collapsed eventually under the mountain of emails! I need to get out of my current housekeeping pattern of boom or bust so will be trying not to burn out after 5 days...Wish me luck!

qazxc · 04/11/2016 08:46

Not much flying done yesterday. The electric was off all day. Me and DD went outin town but she was having a really bad day tantrum wise. When we got home in the evening , all I could muster was dinner , bath and bed.

Cagliostro · 04/11/2016 11:13

Hi all, and welcome to newbies/returnees! :)

I am gazing around looking at the horrendous mess that is our living room. Have some pupils today so need to actually sort it but I'm soooo achy today Angry :( have to power through though, DH is currently running his sports lesson and later he's taking the Caglets out for a bit so hopefully I can just catch up on rest then.

OP posts:
foxessocks · 04/11/2016 11:27

Sympathies cag hope you get some rest.

I have spent my morning on the sofa with a sleeping ds and have achieved only one thing which was to empty and load the dishwasher...got to pick dd up from nursery in a minute so I didn't really use that time efficiently but have enjoyed the cuddle with ds! Trying not to feel so guilty all the time when I'm not getting stuff done. Sometimes it is good to just relax!

Happy Friday everyone

Zoo sorry you are feeling so bad , I can't remember if you said you were going to see your gp? I will join you back in the naughty corner - dd up from her nap and we're all having hot chocolate here. The weather here is making me not want to do anything! Was going to cook a roast for dinner (what was I thinking?!) but I think dh may have convinced me to get fish and chips...

Cagliostro · 04/11/2016 15:56

Well I panic tidied and then my friend couldn't get here for the lesson due to car trouble! But at least I have a tidier house.

DH has taken the Caglets bowling and to get a couple of bits in town. I have thoroughly squandered this time and I'm quite pleased about it :o but I'm going to do some more laundry in a minute and I have some phone/web errands to get on with.
