Just nosed at your profile and see you're from Clitheroe - that's where my father is from so I visited lots before my Grandfather died a few years ago. Hiya shouldbe My dads side of the family are all from around here in a kind of they are all my second cousin type way. As a child we moved around an awful lot but I was always drawn back to Pendle. I love the hill and the way it dominates things and the mystical associations it has. I have lived around here for about 20 years now and still love it. Was in Blackburn for four years and am glad to be back home!

Now i have to tackle upstairs which isn't too bad but DH's wardrobe is a clothes explosion.

Did DS's wardrobe in the week so i have a big bag for charity shop ...

I'm hoping that if I get the kids room tidy and put away as many of the toys asI can, they can get oyut a couple of bigger things tomorrow.

I've got both the girls helping this morning, as they know it is a treat to have everyone round (I don't really like it and don't do this all the time).

DS is 1 in 2 weeks
I'm not doing a party, but have caved in to inviting round mums and babies to play

Well I have my 3 kids cleaning!!! (child labour?!!! NNNOOOOOOO)
DD1 Is by far the best at cleaning I have to say!! (Its a girl thing!) Ds just likes spraying everything in sight...then getting bored when it comes to actually polishing it off again! (typical man!)
DD2 is pottering about with a duster and plastic cup!? (bless!)

Done the light shades too TM (And rather I get a boost from cleaning too!!!)

I was wiping the skirting boards down and found mince meat welded on to it! Didn't even notice this before!...ewwww

Luda i had to re-read mince meat 3 times! I kept reading it as mouse meat!!

Gym ball doesn't make a great comp chair!!

Think i will ask on freecycle see if anyone has a spare one going free.

It really is awful I have found all sorts of grim things. I found a shrivelled up chip behind the sofa...I only did this a few weeks ago!!

The kids have bored of the cleaning now...DD2 is eating a yoghurt, the other two are watching the BFG.

I am pleased to report, the down stairs is looking lovely now! I need flowers just to top it all off. I have given all the plants some TLC...they have had their leaves polished, and a good half an hour in the sink to soak up some water. I could really do with putting the living room blinds in the wash, I might do that later

This is the weirdest!!!

"My husbands fingers! Yes, I mean his actual fingers. He had an accident a few months ago where he stuck his hand up under a running lawnmower and severed parts of 3 fingers. The paramedics were unable to find them to reattach, but my SIL went out there the next day on her hands and knees and found them. My DH thought they were neat to show guests, I thought they were a little gross, but they've been in a tupperware container in my freezer for too long! I cringe every time I look at them. Time for those babies to go!"

OMG how busy!!! Sorry girls, haven't had time to re-read the whole thread and I know there is bundles I have missed.

Got up this morning and my house looked like it hadn't been touched so I've done some more washing and hung it up, about to tackle the washing up again and tidy round everywhere.

Only place that does still look pretty good is DD's room.
