Morning ladies

OP posts:

agh dh has just remembered to tell me that the PIL are coming for the day tomorrow! This means that MIL will want to come into the room where the computer is cos she likes to "have a go" on the internet! BIG tidy-up required cos I started to try to fit filing drawers in here earlier in the week then gave up and it's been a mess ever since Need to get sorting - MIL has an eye for an untidy house I don't know why I let her opinion bother me but it does......

I have managed to sort all the art and craft stuff downstairs and have made a big difference but everything else has been put off as a result!

Thankfully I don't think downstairs will take v long (some things can be dumped in the utility room!) but upstairs needs some work....

shouldbedoingthehousework · 10/02/2007 18:10

Hello and welcome fts

Still no snow tort We've had rain all day too so most of the snow has gone.

twinklingstar · 10/02/2007 18:13

Good to see you made it, Fattytwoshoes

Normally I just lurk on these threads but wanted to come on and encourage you, LOL

tortoiseLikesItNiceAndSlow · 10/02/2007 18:19

Oh dear shouldbe. Get tidying.lol Don't let it bother you what she thinks. Its you house. You can live in it how ever you want to!
Well done for getting A and C stuff sorted.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 10/02/2007 18:30

Thanks Tort
Actually - have only been stuck into the job for about 20mins and it's looking better already! (lots of stuff shoved under bed and so on - will have to sort properly after half-term)
Feeling better about it already
And dh is bathing the kids (and washing their hair )

Fattytwoshoes · 10/02/2007 19:18

Thanks for the welcome!!! I wasn't sure if this was the thread.
I think i'm gonna start on monday a fresh start and all. I know i probably should probably start now.
Is this the thread i should be posting on or do i look for others??

Thanks again, i'm actually looking forward to it.
What did everyone else do when they started did you to it to the letter or did you do it your own way??

ludaloo · 10/02/2007 19:57

shouldbe goodness...thats short notice! Good luck with the clutter hiding (Thats what I do too)

FTS This is the only thread that I know of for FLYing..there are other housey type threads around, but I tend to stick to this one. I really don't do the whole FLY lady thing to the letter...I just tailor bits of it to suit me. I do shine my sink...and I try to do the daily missions (which are linked on the FLY threads each day)

hello all - well house is a tip - spent the day shopping for stuff - i have a plan though - mahoosive spring clean on sunday and monday - we are talking furniture moving, wet washes, skirting boards the lot!! Will anyone join me???

tortoiseLikesItNiceAndSlow · 10/02/2007 20:01

FTS There is a new FLY thread started each day plus a weekend thread.

DD's are in bed. Had to turn DD2's cot round. Its broken one side so had to take the side off. Can't put her in a bed until i have enough money to buy DD1 a midsleeper bed. Can't fit two normal singles in their room and too little for bunks.

ludaloo · 10/02/2007 20:02

ooh ooh yes...I will! I have several bits that need moving and my skirting boards all need a wash!

OP posts:
ludaloo · 10/02/2007 20:03

OP posts:
taylormama · 10/02/2007 20:04

yay luda - we can encourage each other then LOL!! I am a very tidy person, but just a few things out of place seems to make a difference. Plus in my new job i work from home so need to feel uncluttered etc etc

taylormama · 10/02/2007 20:05

luda - lightshades - you have reminded me to do mine ...

ludaloo · 10/02/2007 20:05

tort I'm just off to put mine to bed...I too am waiting for some money, to buy dd2 a bed...she is still in her cot but could do with a big bed.

ludaloo · 10/02/2007 20:07

OP posts:
ludaloo · 10/02/2007 20:25

Never heard of Torfean tort Could you ask a neighbour to help...i.e..be with you..or let them pick them up from there??

OP posts:
tortoiseLikesItNiceAndSlow · 10/02/2007 20:27

Its too late to go round to a neighbour to ask now really. And Can't leave DD's alone.
Wasn't expecting it.lol! Even though item ends tomorrow.

ludaloo · 10/02/2007 20:29
