Yes thats a good idea. Am thinking of trying to text my brother to see if he can come round. Big ask cos he would have to walk here and its early for a sunday.

He has agreed to come round. Have emailed buyer so just wait for them to comfirm if coming. One step closer to a bed for DD1!

Not done much today, except the ironing all upto date yipee!!!!!!!!!!
Made yummy evening meal of tbone steaks, cauliflower/broccoli with cheese sauce & chips for me & dh. We had a bit of a fight early beacause I told him that he wasn't feeding ellie correctly

I have been up for about an hour, dh just left to go & play golf with his mate. Coming back about 1230 & then we are out for lunch with his mate & his mates pg gf.

List.
break dd done
breakfast me
wash/dress dd
shower/dress me
s & s kitchen
empty dw(load done last night)
load, on & empty dw
s & s downstairs loo
hoover downstairs
mop floors down stairs
wipe couches with antibac wipes
general tidy downstairs
strip mine & dh bed
new sheets on mine & dh bed
put sheets in wm
s & s bathroom
hoover upstairs
general tidy upstairs

All has to be done by 1230ish so I am off. Have a good day all.

morning all - well i have done the lounge!!! LUDA - are you with me?!!! I am doing a mahoosive spring clean today ...
To do:
skirting boards
light fittings
Bathrooms
Kitchen and bedrooms
2 x loads of laundry
go to sainsburys
Make dinner - moroccan chicken (yum)

Think i shall be a bit wear tonight ...

DS had brekkie and in bed, DH had brekkie and working so my sleeves are rolled up ...

Well done taylormama and EHM - up early and getting on

I woke up early and was up doing laundry and the dw by 6.30am - having a bit of a lapse now though - kids and dh are all up and hanging around so it's harder to get on with things!

Need to go to the supermarket this morning to get something to feed PIL for lunch (have appealed to dh to take us out for lunch with no luck ) I'm going to do an easy lunch of jacket potatoes and quiche, if they don't like it then tough!
Also need to-
Open windows - a lovely sunny day here
Hoover everywhere
Put last few bits away in spare room
Make beds
Put another load in wm
Empty td

That'll probably do it and hopefully make the house acceptable for MIL (as long as she doesn't look in utility room or any other cupboards )

Morning all

Shouldbe - are you married to my dp? Everything you say sounds scarily familiar.

I'm going to have a busy cleaning day. It is half term next week, and in an attempt to organise free entertainment I have invited 4 friends and their children round tomorrow. With mine that will be at leat 12 kids (possibly 14) including 5 babies! I need to start with a tidy house, and have biscuits and cakes made.

I also need to bodge together some invitations to an open house/[play day for ds' birthday.

lol jelley I'm not aware of dh going off to a second family He has just agreed to go and do the supermarket shopping for me this morning (and may even take at least one child) so he's in my good books for now
..I, however will be left here to get the house PIL-ready...sigh..really shouldbe getting on instead of faffing about on MN!

You're very brave opening the house up tomorrow jelley - but I often wonder why I bother to clean and tidy when we're going to be over-run with kids - I know I'll only have to do it all again by the evening! Have a fun time with all your friends.

I really should sort out some play-date for this week myself- anyone fancy coming over?

Right well I have tidied the living enough to move large bits of furniture...and I have the damp dusters at the ready! The kitchen is looking tidy...I really did that last week...including skirting boards (thanks to satin and her list

this is my list today.

done list

  1. made a coffee
  2. sat on mn for an hour

my to do list.

  1. tidy and clean living room (can't see my coffee table for clutter)
  2. hoover and wash floor
  3. Clean bathroom
  4. tidy up kitchen
  5. try to tackle my washing pile and put the heap of clothes away instead of leaving them in baskets in my bedroom. .

I'm starting small otherwise i'll be too overwhelmed by it all. lol

I'm off the clean.

Morning everyone.

I was refelecting on what a nice thread this always is today and how much I like it because it is truly supportive and chatty and has a positive focus. Just thought I would say a big thank you as it keeps me grounded.

Today my list looks like this:

Photos again!
Shopping list and menu plans
Shopping
Sorting and tidying of hotspots in dining room/study
Work
Write
Take kids to two hours ballet class
Meditate
Washing
Drying
Sorting clothes
More cleaning if possible
Re paint and polish my toe nails

I am going to make a conscious effort each day to include somehting in my list for me which is nice and a kind of treat as I think I need it!
