My house/Zoflora

1000 replies

TheLionQueen · 20/10/2016 11:28

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

I am laughing and crying all at the same time.....I am home, my ZoFlo smelling home. Big wave to you all.

CurtainsforRonnie · 27/10/2016 08:24

Im desperately trying to use up my Method grapefruit spray that Ive had for 18 months so I can hand the bottle over to ZoFlo Halloween Blush

takesnoprisoners · 27/10/2016 08:28

I can't find winter morning anywhere!!!! What do I do!!! I am down to a teeeeny tiny bit at the bottom. Sad

Mozfan1 · 27/10/2016 08:29

scrivette you gotta ignore the haters Wink

MaQueen · 27/10/2016 08:36

I dreamt about Zoflora last night...do I need professional help

Mozfan1 · 27/10/2016 08:41

No ma, totally normal. I recommend keeping a bottle next to your bed in case you need a quick sniff in the middle of the night for reassurance

WhatamessIgotinto · 27/10/2016 08:58

Oooo Gary your oh so lovely display has made me embarrassingly happy!

Kidnapped · 27/10/2016 09:08

scrivette, every great movement in history has had its heretics and its naysayers. This is no different.

Let them go forth and sniff Dettol.

TheLionQueen · 27/10/2016 09:13

Kidnapped Grin
I do still like the smell of a bleachy loo
I've got a poorly animal in my house at the moment and I'm desperate for it to get well, partly because I do have a heart somewhere but also so I can clean properly and get rid of the stench.

curtains. What is this 'method spray' you speak of? There's no room for talk like that on this thread. The only place for such a product is down the sink - make room for the Zoflo - at any cost. Finally found my Dyson filter. Didn't think the Dyson or the Zoflora could get any better until I put them together and am now wafting about my home surrounded in the glorious heady scent of Twilight Garden!

Tidypidy · 27/10/2016 09:15

Have just zofloed the kitchen bin and it smells lovely! I like the Country Garden scent as it reminds me of my late Granny.

Mozfan1 · 27/10/2016 09:19

I know it's not zoflo but I put shake n vac in the bottom of my bin and it never smells

TheLionQueen · 27/10/2016 09:22

Haha Mozfan good idea with the shake n vac, would absorb any of the dreaded bin juice too.
I might try dabbing a bit of neat zoflo on the vac filter as it didn't work just diluting it and rinsing.

Yeah it's great, I zoflo round the edges and outside of the bin where I touch it and shake a bit of the powder in the bottom so I always get a nice fragrance when I change the bag

Deffo use it neat dude! There's no other way.

AntheaBelveden · 27/10/2016 09:30

I have a miele. How do I go about zofloing it? I'm thinking cotton wool soaked in zoflo in the bag?

Mozfan1 · 27/10/2016 09:36

Yes anthea just vacuum a ball up and your life will be zoflo heaven

Mozfan1 · 27/10/2016 09:37

I know it's vile but it's got to be said; I made up a mini spray bottle of zoflo and water pretty strong, and when dh has been using the toilet facilities in this house it immediately kills any smells he makes... It's bloody amazing

wendytorrence · 27/10/2016 09:52

New to the thread... Need expert advice
Can I put a capful in the drum of the washing machine?
I presume you run the dishwasher empty when using in there?
I've only ever used it in my steam mop but now I want to clean ALL of the things!

SleepFreeZone · 27/10/2016 09:57

I actually really like the smell of Dettol 😳

Mozfan1 · 27/10/2016 09:59

wendy put it in the fabric conditioner bit of the drawer

sleep how dare you wash your mouth out with zoflo Wink

PoppyBirdOnAWire · 27/10/2016 10:06

Isn't that Zoflo stuff really dated? Why would you use such nasty chemicals anyway? Fairy Liquid is all that it takes, that and a sense of proportion.

The smell of bleach is rank. Bleurgh

Mozfan1 · 27/10/2016 10:17

If you want to live in a dirty house then yes, fairy liquid is all it takes Smile

wendytorrence · 27/10/2016 10:18

Thanks Mozfan.

Mozfan1 · 27/10/2016 10:20

You're welcome, I think it's recommended use about a capful or two

SleepFreeZone · 27/10/2016 10:27
