Morning,

Luda I love the potato masher in the wardrobe

I had another rubbish night with ds. When he wakes up he seems to think it's time to get up whatever the time really is. Not sure what to do...how do you make a 10 month old go to sleep?

Today is supposed to be a rest day, but i always have more to do on a Saturday...

~ change beds
~ washing (2-3 loads)
~ wah up
~ sink
~ clean fridge, inside and out
~ post office
~ bank
~ market
~ Tescos (go on my own when dp gets home from work)
~ hoover downstairs

Good Morning Jelley, sorry your ds id still so wakeful - we dealt with ds's lack of sleep by bringing him into our bed, where he would sleep really well...this has backfired now though cos at 3 he's still there for at least 4 out of 7 nights! I hope someone has some better advice

luda lol at the potato masher in the wardrobe too

I'm not working this weekend (yippee!) so have quite a few jobs at home to catch up on

~mop floors downstairs
~take Christmas tree to be shredded
~hoover and dust upstairs
~clean bathroom and cloakroom
~clean fridge
~plan weeks meals
~do big food shop
~write thank you letters with dd
~1 or 2 loads of washing
~take dd out on bike ride if weather cheers up
~get dh to put Christmas decs back in the loft
~find a home for some of the bulky presents - we had lots of puzzles this year!

Think that's it. Dh is taking kids out with him to the bank in a little while so I should have an hour with the house to myself to get on with quite a few jobs from the list....

ludaloo · 06/01/2007 09:18

Morning ladies

Your lists are long!!!!

I have to get the house ready for a sleepover, dd1 is having two of her friends over tonight.
Tommorrow she goes to one of her friends for the night so I get to catch up on some sleep with a bit of luck!
(these kids are growing up way too fast...I'm sure I wasn't having sleepovers at 5!)

Jelley I had this with dd2 at around 11/12 months, she would wake really early..or in the middle of the night and be ready to play!
She is 17 months now and has settled very well now, she goes to sleep between 7/8 and wakes between 7/8 the next morning.
It could just be a stage your ds is going through. Teething never seems to help either, and my dd2 has recently stopped having regular naps...she goes several days now refusing to go down in the day.
Hopefully he will grow out of it!!

(I'm like shouldbe though...dd2 sleeps with us...infact all mine did..until about 2 and a half ish!...and given the chance all three end up in our bed!!! The cot is right up against our bed at the same level..with no side, so dd2 sleeps in that (IYSWIM) and its not too squashed as ds usually gets in the cot bit too....when he wakes up in the night!!!)

anyhoo...better go get kids dresssed!
See you in a bitxx

Hi jelley and shouldbe,

like your lists - nice and long!

I am guessing the mission is fridge as it is on both of your lists (i know link is on other thread but I am lazy to go back) I hate doing the fridge, but it must be done as there are loads of horrid christams left overs in there.

  • fridge
  • tidy round downstairs
  • help dc do their rooms
  • hoover upstairs
  • shopping
  • take children round to play at friends house
  • take down decs
  • prepare food for friends tonight
  • write letter to friend
  • sink
  • wm
  • dw

see you later!

DimpledThighs · 06/01/2007 09:21

hi too ludaloo - x posts!

also both of mine 7 and 4 end up sleeping with me in various combinations and locations. I don't even notice now!

JustIvor · 06/01/2007 11:10

Hello all. Thanks HN for your reply to my post on yesterdays thread (another look at my fascinating question here for anyone who missed it! ) I don't watch it much either, I have to admit! Just a quick poll. Who thinks that hair like that blonde woman in Coronation Street who was going to marry Fred Elliot (Shelley's mother?) is naff? I'm thinking of having my hair done like that. At the moment it is a bit Deirdre Barlow-like but longer with blonde highlight type bits in. Don't I sound awful?!!! All suggestions welcomed!

I did do the thank you cards last night.

Today's list:-
~ do some ironing (did some, need to do some more)
~ do a load of washing
~ walk the dog
~ book a haircut for me

I'm going to keep it short as I have an awful cold and I'm not even showered and dressed yet!

Ivor I missed that question...sorry (I haven't reread yesterdays thread yet)
Um...I think her hair looks good (will have to study it next time I watch it)
I can't think what diedries hair looks like either....

I went for the posh spice look but it didn't work!!!! I just look like a boy!!!!

Well so far:

~Washing in w/m and t/d
~Dishwasher unloaded/reloaded
~Kitchen tidied

ludaloo · 06/01/2007 11:43

ah...ok read through now! I would say go for it Ivor!!

HN Maybe his bad dreams are just a phase...I have heard that at a certain age when their imaginations start to really work, their dreams are worse....

Jelley · 06/01/2007 11:55

Thankyou everyone for being interested in my tiredness[samile] I wouldn't mind having ds in bed with us if he slept (he always came in for a night feed and stayed for 2-3 hours til I woke and moved him back) but now he doesn't go back to sleep, but starts crawling/climbing/chattering.
I've just noticed he has two teeth about to break through, so that is probably not helping.

dimpledthighs there are no missions at the weekend, but next weeks zone is the kitchen, and I looked in my fridge, noticed it was disgusting, and decided I should do it today before I go shopping.

ivor I don't watch corrie, so can't really help, unless you can find a picture.

HI flyers. I think the bad dreams thing is definately a stage. I found putting up a dream catcher for mine worked wonders.

Today I have already been out for 45 minutes personal training my dads Christmas present . Now hair washing and a day with my dd (11) whihc must not be wasted although she has hoovered her room this morning and changed her bed linen! May get some stuff done but am thinking shopping and coffee with her.

taylormama · 06/01/2007 12:02

hi all
DW - unloaded
Laundry - done
bathroom wiped down
kitchen sorted
DS's laundry done
beds made and bottles washed

shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/01/2007 12:15

Hello everyone
Ivor, I don't tend to watch Corrie often but will have a quick look and try to identify Shelly's mother and have a look at her hair next time it's on
luda I like Posh's new look but wouldn't be able to carry it off - mind you, I play it safe and have had the same haircut for ages!
HN my dd suffered from really bad dreams for a while and so we hung a dreamcatcher up - it's got rid of most of the nasty ones.
dimpledthighs I'm just the same as Jelley and wanted to clean the fridge before I load it up after a big shop.
glitterfairyrenewed well done on the 45mins with PT! I don't think I'd last 15mins, let alone 45
Feel better soon ruby x x

My list is coming along slowly -
~mop floors downstairs done
~take Christmas tree to be shredded
~hoover and dust upstairs
~clean bathroom and cloakroom
~clean fridge done
~plan weeks meals - no chance - see below!
~do big food shop dh has rung to say he's just done it!
~write thank you letters with dd - some done
~1 or 2 loads of washing 1 done
~take dd out on bike ride if weather cheers up raining
~get dh to put Christmas decs back in the loft
~find a home for some of the bulky presents - we had lots of puzzles this year! done

dh went to the bank but left dd at home with me so I haven't done as well as I'd like.

DimpledThighs · 06/01/2007 12:50

shouldbe jelley thanks for the fridge tip though - evwen if not a mission shall try and do it as everytime I open the door something falls out!

ruby yikes passports you have reminded me. Both me and DS need doing asap. Race you!

not going to check off my list as very little done, but did make soup for lunch to avoid flying!

DimpledThighs · 06/01/2007 12:52

ivor have terrible memory so will look at corrie with you in mind. What face shape do you have, do you want stylish, funky or classic - will think of you and let you know.

DimpledThighs · 06/01/2007 12:52

?? (these 2 question marks belong in the post below.)

JustIvor · 06/01/2007 12:53

thanks for your help all. dog o lap again so typing not good. will phone for appoimntme t for hair and will speak to hairdresser. Might takea few months ti grow it to the required lenthg. just fed up ofputting colour in and cutting ghalf of it out a month later. Am not technically minded or I'd put a members profile piccie up of suggested styles. We'll all have to see some Corrie instead! Good for you on having a brave cut luda. Dd did that too the other day. Now a graduated bob.

Not much done. found another box for tree decs and wil l finidh putting ghem away. Showered and dressed. Rang and spoke to MNer sister to let her know the sad news of ggg's daughter. She has been without a PC for a while and I didn't want her to come back and not know. Going to tidy up the kitchen with the kids now. They've been painting and it's a disgrace! Load of washing is on. Off to do more if this dog wil move!

Oh yes, I hope those feeling unwell or sleep deprived get better and more sleep soon.

ludaloo · 06/01/2007 12:54

Bev

Is this the one you mean Ivor???

If so then it is nice!

Lazylou · 06/01/2007 12:55

Hello everyone!

Well this week at work has been aa right carry on. It's been so stressful that I've had to take work home with me nearly every night this week, do my uni stuff and do my housework aswell.

Needless to say not much has been done in the way of housework this week, so I have got a full day planned. I noticed someone had put a link to the crisis thing on the fly site so I am going to have another look at that and do things bit by bit. My 15 minutes allocated for cups of tea etc are going to be spent doing my homework and then I'll crack on with it.

To make matters worse, I have woken up with yet another cold. Actually I think it is a continuation of the one I had all over Christmas. One of my ears is blocked and I can't really hear so was thinking of going to the NHS walk in centre to see if they could help as this has been going on since NYE. It was definately a god-send over the last week though, what with 14 babies screaming and crying. DIdn't sound so bad what with only being able to hear it a bit!

Hope everyone has a good day! I'll come back later to let you all know how it is going!

ludaloo · 06/01/2007 12:55

p.s...the cut on the right is the one I mean..

JustIvor · 06/01/2007 12:56

JustIvor · 06/01/2007 12:58

Thanks luda (have turfed dog off now). Yes, the one on the right but with more wave put in is what I'd like I think.
