Morning,

Luda I love the potato masher in the wardrobe

I had another rubbish night with ds. When he wakes up he seems to think it's time to get up whatever the time really is. Not sure what to do...how do you make a 10 month old go to sleep?

Today is supposed to be a rest day, but i always have more to do on a Saturday...

~ change beds
~ washing (2-3 loads)
~ wah up
~ sink
~ clean fridge, inside and out
~ post office
~ bank
~ market
~ Tescos (go on my own when dp gets home from work)
~ hoover downstairs

Thanks luda. Yes, I'm afraid to say that I do look rather like the picture on the far right!

DimpledThighs · 06/01/2007 13:00

thanks for the link ludaloo - ivor I think the style and colour are very nice. I too have fine hair and this style looks like it would hold really well as it does not have the ultra smooth look. Also you would be able to volumise the roots and keep it quite casual looking.

It would also be quite versatile if you did have to dress it up. The colour is nice to - and I am sure in a decade or two when greys show this colour would give a lot of graceful camoflage.

DimpledThighs · 06/01/2007 13:00

also those soft layers will giove you a lot of lift rather than drag the hair down.

ludaloo · 06/01/2007 13:03

Yes...that sounds nice Ivor

no probs for the links...I've only just learned how to do it so the novelty hasn't worn off yet!!!!

shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/01/2007 13:14

well done luda.....can't seem to acheive a successful link yet myself

ludaloo · 06/01/2007 13:31

Well you should give it a go...I thought it was something very clever computer minded people do!!!

All you have to do minimise MN so it is just a square at the bottom...go find something you want people to see...right click on the http address at the top so it is highlighted...a menu drops down...click copy.
Go back to MN square to get your MN post back up and right click again ...then choose paste (so the http address is now copied onto the MN page)

Then just copy the MN instructions....so you add \link{ to the beginning (before http)and \ and your message to the end!

(confused? )

For example...you want to post a link on sending flowers...

Find the page on google or somewhere...highlight the http address of it..

www.flowergram.co.uk/index.aspx?kw={keyword}&fl=6634

Copy and paste it here...

Add \link{ to the front

\link{http://www.flowergram.co.uk/index.aspx?kw={keyword}&fl=6634

And \flowers here} (or whatever you want to say) to the end...

flowers here

This should then be a link when you Post Message

HTH.....once you pop you just can't stop!!!

ludaloo · 06/01/2007 13:39

My next mission is to get my camera software loaded on my computer so I can send you all photos!!

nearlymybeetrootday · 06/01/2007 13:43

Thanks luda
No more housework done but have been playing
here with dd all afternoon

Hurrah [proud emotion]

ludaloo · 06/01/2007 15:25

I already was the anorack type!!!

shouldbe Good work!!!!!!
That looks a very girly type site...dd1 would like that! (she is tidying her room at the mo so I won't distract her right now!)

I have been doing a 27 boogie to the "YMCA"
And I shined my sink to "Mambo No.5"
Dd1 just watched me in utter terror as I tried to teach her the YMCA moves
Ds calls it the IMCA and dd2 likes Mambo No.5 and nods her head suprisingly rhythmically for a 17 month old!!!!!!!!

Well dd1's getting very excited about her sleepover (hence tidying her room) and is alocating teddies and the like for everyone!

I may not get the chance to get back on today..so bye for now xx

satinshoes · 06/01/2007 16:22

well done on your link shouldbe

no flying for me today although well rested after dd had a 4 hour stretch of sleep and then 3 hours last night. yay. DH has also just given her her 1st bottle which she guzzled without complaint. I am pleased but also a bit sad....makes me a bit silly probably.

take a look here and imagine the mess if your kids decide to try it!

Lazylou · 06/01/2007 16:56

Bloody hell Satinshoes!

ludaloo · 06/01/2007 17:04

next time I eat out do you dare me to try it!!

tortoise · 06/01/2007 18:25

Hello all.
Lazy day today! DS's spent far too much of the day on the ps2!
They were allowed to stay up late last night then wanted to sleep in with me.lol!
So i had to miss out on mn last night. But we had a laugh so it was well worth it.
Quiet now they have gone back to their dads.

I have read through last 2 days but cant remember who's said or done what so well done to everyone whos kept busy.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/01/2007 18:30

Blimey! satinshoes!

Thanks for the congrats on the link...feeling v pleased with myself - couldn't have done it without you luda

Still haven't done anything else today. Dh came home with a weird collection of shopping that I'm supposed to put to use in meals over the week...will be interesting.... Still, it was good of him to try
Have had fun with the kids this afternoon doing nothing much - a very pleasant way to pass a wet Saturday afternoon

shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/01/2007 18:31

Hiya tort

tortoise · 06/01/2007 18:59

Hiya shouldbe

Quootiepie · 06/01/2007 19:03

Just popping in - I FLYed yesterday, well, did first 2 baby steps and DH has kept the sink area clean aswell... so shall shine before bed tonight again Hopefully ill join full time again soon! These threads are far to big to read now - I remember when we didnt even do a thread a day!

shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/01/2007 19:14

really pleased you've had fun with your ds's tort - I spend so much time trying to think of ways to turf my ds out of my bed, can't imagine it being fun having two of them in there with me!

Well done Quootie, you're doing really well

Kids are in bed and very tired. Ds has already asked if he can come in my bed! A very firm NO from me. If he comes in tonight then dh is going to have to move out cos there's just not room for the 3 of us (need bigger bed I think)! Need to clean up kitchen but dh is willing to do that so I'm having some mn time (he's been v helpful today ) Have two parties to take the kids to tomorrow afternoon, one for ds and then one for dd...probably won't do much FLYing....

tortoise · 06/01/2007 19:17

They don't normally ask or come in. DD's do so i guess they got the idea from them!
It wasn't too bad! They wanted me in the middle though which wasn't great.

I need to clean up kitchen too!

Put DD's to bed soon.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 06/01/2007 19:43

at least you don't fall out if you're in the middle tort , ds likes to be in the middle so I tend to spend the whole night falling off the edge of the bed..it's not funny, I'm usually by the morning!

Skribble · 06/01/2007 19:51

Hello though I would pop in as I wll be back to flying on Monday as well as work and all that.

Today I managed to buy an orgainised mum diary by mistake, I just thought it look like a good diary as it was small but had space for notes and stuff. Only realised it was an orgainised whatsit when I got home, So I will be so orgainised now . They are half price in the Claender shop if you need one too .

Cappuccino · 06/01/2007 19:52

hello all

wondered if anyone could tell me whereabouts on the website the emails for the day are

mother is teetering on the edge of fly-dom

Skribble · 06/01/2007 19:57

OOps just remembered I have PIL coming for dinner tomorrow so I best get flying tomorrow morning.
DH actually took down the decorations today so that is a start and
I did some ironing , well I was in the huff so I thought I might as well playout the downtrodden wife act to the full while i was upstairs.
Went through DS's clothes as I went mental when I saw that he had stuffed the last load of clean washing in to already heaving shelves. So we went through and chucked all the stuff that is too small and tidied up the rest.
Put away 2 loads and hung up another from the machine.

See once a flyer always a flyer, quite looking forward to getting back into it again, Quootie didn't we start together the first time? Or were you already doing it?
