Morning,

Luda I love the potato masher in the wardrobe

I had another rubbish night with ds. When he wakes up he seems to think it's time to get up whatever the time really is. Not sure what to do...how do you make a 10 month old go to sleep?

Today is supposed to be a rest day, but i always have more to do on a Saturday...

~ change beds
~ washing (2-3 loads)
~ wah up
~ sink
~ clean fridge, inside and out
~ post office
~ bank
~ market
~ Tescos (go on my own when dp gets home from work)
~ hoover downstairs

I'm not doing much today as I feel like death warmed up. I'm drinking constantly as my throat is so sore and going to the loo loads as a result! We're supposed to be putting the spare bedroom back together now the painting is finished. I've washed, dried and ironed the curtains. When the others are back from walking the dog we'll do a bit more. I think I'll be supervisor not doer though.

ludaloo · 07/01/2007 14:52

Hi Everyone.....

Tort You have your work cut out there! Hope it gets done ok! Thanks for the pictures..its nice to know mine aren't the only messy ones!

Grouchyoscar You've found your ring...thank heavens! I'm glad to hear you have it safe and well!
I'm always nearly losing mine...it comes off with towels and things when I wipe my hands!

EHM What an awful thing, Backache really is the worst...sorry to hear you are in pain, I really hope it starts to get better soon...and good to hear the tablets are working!!!!

Ivor oooh..sorry you are not feeling well, There is this bug going round...hope you don't get it too bad, we have just recovered up here. Rest up and take plenty of paracetamol!

Well The girls kept me up until at least 11 oclock last night, giggling, wanting the loo, wanting tissues, wanting drinks, wanting teddies off the shelf (infact you name it they wanted it!)Then they were up at 7am bright and early with a new list of things they want!!!!
I now know why I don't remember having sleepovers when I was 5....because my parents knew better!!!!!!

DD1 is off to her friends tonight so I'll get some sleep hopefully! I suspect my friend will have an easier night too as they will be knackered!!!!!!

Well minimal FLYing done here...just d/washer on and hoovering done... need to do a load or two of washing but apart from that, its a lazy day

See you all in a bit xx

Donbean · 07/01/2007 15:05

tortoise · 07/01/2007 15:58

Sorry your feeling poorly ivor.

Well done donbean.

DimpledThighs · 07/01/2007 15:59

been busy today swimming and taking down decorations. I sat down talking to my DD and I looked round and thought how much better the place looked - even though I haven't been FLYING very long and I took time off over Chrsitmas and last week when DD started school I am quite overwhelemed with the nice state of my (still cluttered) house - even DS said he liked the stairwell being clear and he never notices anything.

I was so inspired I made a thread!

DimpledThighs · 07/01/2007 16:01

wow tort - I have simliar plans for next week!

can't wait for next pics!

tortoise · 07/01/2007 16:05

after pics!
Moved bits around but didn't make much more space! DS2 should be to be able to get to his ottoman full of Action Man toys.

ludaloo · 07/01/2007 16:10

Dimpledthighs...I've just added apost !

ludaloo · 07/01/2007 16:12

Tort Good Grief!!!!!! You have done a Fantastic Job!!!! (can you come do mine!!???)

Brill!...the girls look chuffed with it too!!

You have inspired me now!!!!!!!!!

DimpledThighs · 07/01/2007 16:15

tort wow - that is really fab - made a big difference to the place. Exactly my plans for next week so will remember your efforts to spur me on.

Do you feel good now?

tortoise · 07/01/2007 16:17

Thanks
I do feel good. Hope DS's are impressed when they see it too.
DD's room next.Tomorrow maybe.

HazelnutsDoesNotDrink · 07/01/2007 18:18

Hi all.

I`m not having a good weekend.

Ds2 is poorly, streaming nose and eyes, full of cold. DD is not herself, think she might be coming down with it aswell
I feel like doing nothing, just don't have any go in me.
AND
I don't have broadband is not working here
I could not get online yesterday. The phone was working ok but just could not get online.
I phoned BT and they said everything was ok. So I called the people I get my BB from. They did their tests and phoned back this afternoon saying that my BB is not working as its been stopped. Someone has unplugged it at the exchange!!!!
Well its going to be 48 to 72 hrs before they can get it fixed, so I am using "Pay as you Go" So wont be long for long and it is very slow at loading the pages aswell. (I hope this goes through ok)

Hope everyone are ok, I will come back as soon as I can. just thought I would let you know that we are ok (ish)

Be back soon I hope

tortoise · 07/01/2007 18:25

Hi HN.
Sorry you have poorly DC again. At least its only a cold.I can deal with them better than sick bugs!
Hope your BB is back on soon. I don't think pay as you go is too expensive is it?

glitterfairyrenewed · 07/01/2007 18:26

Very impressive pictures and put me to shame but have done:

Shopping for week
PLanning menus
Hoover downstairs
Collect and take ironing
Tidy up general and bedrooms

Just got photos to sort out, tea to cook and children to bed!

DimpledThighs · 07/01/2007 19:16

oh poor hazelnuts - being stuck at home with ill children and no computer to keep you vaguely sane!

I hope that your two pick up soon - horrid time of year. Don't stress about not doing stuff, nothing worse than beating yourself when you are down.

Hope BB is sorted soon!

DimpledThighs · 07/01/2007 19:17

glitterfairy - planning menus is something I really need to do. I love cooking and we eat healthily, but I am quite disorganised so meals are often last minute what's in the cupboard. e.g. tonight we had brown rice, frozen cod and chick peas most bizarre!

How did you get into it?

Would you recomend it?

thewoodlandfairy · 07/01/2007 19:38

sorry to butt in, i've lurked for months, feeling slightly furtive and very inadequate due to what you all achieve What is the FLY thing? How do you all know what to do when and can i possibly fit it into my day with 2 little ones and working part time?

tortoise · 07/01/2007 19:39

Dimpled I am interested in meal planning too. I am forever picking bits up everytime i go to the shop. It would be much better to shop once a week/fortnight online and spend less!

shouldbedoingthehousework · 07/01/2007 19:40

All you poorly people - hope you all feel better soon {{{{hugs}}}

tort! What a brilliant job {{{pat on the back}}}

Haven't read through all postings properly yet - sorry! Hope all OK.

We've only just got in after a sociable day with a couple of parties for the kids to which dh and I were also invited, very nice
Have done nothing today except put on a load of washing before we left - got home to find the (nice newly cleared) utility room floor was flooded (thanks God I'd cleared it!)....washing machine seems to have leaked - dh is handy with that kind of thing so is investigating now....

Off to make some supper for me and dh (jacket potatoes - not feeling very imaginative this evening)

EllieHsMum · 07/01/2007 20:20

woodfairy Hello

Still no flying here, lots of pill popping hoping tomorrow back will be much improved.
No longer wincing, was yesterday even with the pills. I am off to bed.x.x.

tortoise · 07/01/2007 20:21

Thanks EHM.
I hadn't realised what an odd face DD2 was pulling until i had another look! lol!

Jelley · 07/01/2007 20:59

tortoise - you really did a great job
Well done you.

woodlandfairy - come in and join us...FLY lady getting started here gives links to the bits you need to start.
Tomorrow you shine your sink, then gradually build routines into your day. If you sign up for emails be prepared for lots. Most of us don't get them any more, but we all do it because we struggle with keeping on top of housework to some extent. (Satinshoes has a very tiny baby, but most of us have little ones at home and/or work)

I've had a day off, and won't be doing much tomorrow unless the weater is really bad, as I'm planning a walk into town.
