morning!!!

DP was back at work last night. so he'll be asleep until 2pm and i can finally clean up properly. i don't seem to get anything done when he's around. though he did load the dishwasher etc. and cooked for us the last 3-4 days!

to do today:

  • d/w DONE
  • laundry
  • library (hope it's open today!)
  • hoover downstairs
  • budget DONE
  • tidy living room DONE

Morning all.

Knackering Christmas as I had a 24 hour tummy bug. Add to that DD clusterfeeding from about 10pm until 2 am most nights and that sums up me at the mo.

Not much housework done but I am on top of the kitchen and sorted through all of the Xmas pressies yesterday and made a pile of DD1s toys to be put away for DD2, and also some to be taken up to her room.

Hi everyone and thanks for the really warm welcome. AM going away for New Year today but want to clean the bathroom first and hoover the house.Oh and clear out the fridge. May even start on unpacking my bedroom which I have left till last. My Christmas bikes are being delivered in an hour so must clean out the outside sheds now. Me and my eldest have tummy bugs so much sympathy satinshoes.

Went to town this morning to check the bank and i don't have any money to go shopping in the sales so i will just have to miss out on any bargains as usual!

Ive decided that I really need to sort my life out and the mess in this house! So i'm going to get busy after lunch and see what i can get done. My only problem is getting rid of any bigger items that need dumping. Wheelie bin is full to bursting as well so might have to put a bit extra out this week.Think you allowed to christmas week anyway.

Satin hope you are feeling a bit better..stomach upsets really are the worst.

Right well my list of things to do:
Washing (done two loads so far)
Hoovering
Put clothes away
Sort dd1 and ds wardrobes out
Tidy kitchen
Unload/reload dishwasher
Bathroom and downstairs loo

I've been at my friends this morning...she is going away to her sisters for new year so I'm feeding her animals while she is away. Need to go and catch up on my list!!!!!!!

ahhh. found another flea today so it looks like the treatment of cat & house hasnt worked 100%. Means I have hoovered everywhere like a madwoman and DH has re-sprayed everywhere.

Health visitor coming in a bit for hearing test and weigh in so resting until then.

welcome newbies. glitter - read your cleaner thread and it made me laugh. hope you sack her and keep the money for yourself. i used to have a cleaner before kids. she was an angel and did anything i asked.

Ive made a good start with the kitchen. I think ive done the mission but in the kitchen instead of the front room! Too many toys everywhere to sort in there at the moment.
I will be on my own NYE. DS's at their Dads and doubt its worth letting the girls stay up until midnight.I would if the DS's were here.

Basically do a zone a week plus a list f things once a week like changing sheets!

Well:

Washing (done two loads so far) (three done now..and cushion covers gone in)
Hoovering done
Put clothes away done(although this seems to be on a continuous loop at the moment!)
Sort dd1 and ds wardrobes out

Bathroom and downstairs loo done

Couldn't actually find 27 bits to pick up in the living room...but combined with the bathroom and bedrooms I filled the majority of a carrier bag!
Progress is slow today...dd2 is the clingyest she has been for ages (and that is saying something)She has come out in a rash all over her legs, belly and arms.I'm actually hoping this is a good sign as the doctor said rashes often appear at the end of an illness.
I had to clean the bathroom with her locked outside...she was swinging round my legs, swinging round the loo, trying to get on the loo and screaming every other minute that she wanted something or other.....

I'm going to stop and give her some fuss and see if I can get her off to sleep for a bit!

p.s.....locked out the bathroom...not out the house.....it kind of suggests I put her in the garden momentarily!!

FLYBABES THE SQUATCH IS BACK!!!
Hi all puter died big time but thanks to a new registry disk (90 bloody quid in sale yesterday it has been brought back from the dead.

Hope you all had a great xmas .We did, spent the day up in the lakes with my dad.Tots got spoilt rotten and resulting mess is worse than terrible so here i am looking for motivation a kick up the bum and some inspiration.

So far washing up to date and most of new toys in playroom but keep creeping back into living room .I think a good hour down stairs should get most of it sorted.Bathroom needs a good clean beds need doing .Mountwasmore clean but needs putting away.New carpet arrives 2nd Jan at last sick of the sight of these bare boards.

Really missed you all so going to read thread and catch up now.Sorry for big long ramble but just thought i'd fill you all in so to speak.OOH Xmas emoties too.

I had a mountain of washing too...its amazing what just a couple of days without the washing machine can do...basket completely over flowing!!!!!!
